Gas tank
I was unable to put fuel in my new Toyota Avalon hybrid. This was only the third time I had added fuel. It required a new gas tank. Lindsay Fenton in the service department was a great help getting everything done in a quick manner and a pleasure to work with.

Poor Service
Scheduled oil change and wheel alignment for 8:30 am at Precision Toyota, Tucson. Arrived around 8:00 am well ahead of apointment time. The customer relations person stated that the work would be completed around noon. The service was finally completed around 3:00 pm. The hold up was technician had difficulty with aligning the wheels according to service staff. The sales slip indicates that a wheel alignment should be 1.0 hours work! The tech apparently did not know what he was doing. Needless to say, I wasted most of the day waiting. I will no longer be taking my Tundra for service at this dealer/service site. May have to travel to Phoenix for my next service. Never had problems there.

Hi Billy, Thank you for your feedback. We are sad to see your review and it's true that we had trouble aligning your vehicle. The technician, who is Master Certified spent 2.5 hours with your automobile. We actually offered you a shuttle ride, and we also offered you a loaner vehicle free of charge and you declined. He aligned it and test drove it 3 times to make sure he had it right. You sales slip which states 1.0 hours of work, actually means that's what he gets paid, not how long it should take. If it takes him 5 hours, he still gets paid 1.0. Vehicles are machines and things don't always go the way we plan. We never want to leave a guest waiting any longer than necessary and we want your vehicle to perform correctly. Please except our sincere apology for your wait time. Showed up for my appointment, was told it would only be a little more than an hour when I made the appointment 2 weeks prior, Lindsay informed me it may take over 2 hours, thought about canceling, but Lindsay said “she would do her best to get me out sooner”, she got me out in what I thought was a very timely manner. Recall
It took one complete day to have my car’s recall problem fixed. The main issue was Precision Toyota’s inability to provide adequate transportation for me resulting in my waiting for either a shuttle or Uber vehicl for over 2 hours. The problem was compounded by initially wanting to charge me for a return trip to Precision Toyota to pick up my vehicle even though I live in Tucson. Poor customer service.

We did not foresee the issue of picking you back up when your vehicle was ready at 12:30pm. We should have looked closer at your address and distance. We've learned there are not many Lyft drivers near where your zip code. For many reasons we are only allowed offer shuttle service within 16 miles of the dealership. Initial service
The oil change cost as much as if I had just come in off the street. The tire rotation caused a vibration in steering wheel. I was hoping for a break on the price as they already had the vehicle in the air on the lift. Apparently the tires weren’t checked for balance when they were rotated on the free 5000 mile service. I live in Safford and now the I have to take the vehicle into a local tire shop to get the front tires balanced. The cost of my FREE SERVICE just keeps adding up.

Hi Hugh, Thank you for speaking with me today. You feedback regarding your service advisor was awesome! I was glad your hear that your vehicle service ran right on time and that you were comfortable waiting in our lounge. The servicing for your new Toyota is free for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first as stated in your owners manuals on page 38 of your maintenance guide. Your vehicle uses 0W-20, which is synthetic oil and Toyota recommends is replaced every 10,000 miles. You asked that the oil be changed at 5,000. We asked if you wanted to use your Toyota coupon for the 10,000 service and you said no. There was a charge for $74.23 for the oil change you requested. Vehicles get put on a lift regardless of the oil is being changed or not, so there would be a lessor charge because it's already on the lift. We do rotate the tires every 5,000 miles and can't know you have a balancing issue without hearing about the concern. Your vehicle is still under the 1 year 12,000 mile warranty, so had we known there was a tire balance issue, we would have corrected for you under Toyota warranty. If you turn you page 38 in your maintenance guide owners manual, that goes over you maintenance that is free and covered by Toyota, should you choose addition items, there will be a charge. I feel sad seeing your review after you telling me what a great experience you had here. I again thank you for all your feedback and I'm here if you had any other questions. Patient, helpful sales staff
Melyssa was extremely thoughtful and considerate helping me to understand documents and process. She took a lot of time with me explaining the features on my Camry and setting up Entune, Bluetooth, and other cool features available to me. Vic was kind and meticulous in processing my paperwork.
