Un knowledgeable service desk representatives and dismissive service manager. Pacific Honda experience much better. Surprised because I used to get my Mercedes serviced at Hoehn, they were very good. But then again that was over a decade ago.

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking
I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new/used car, I've never had such a bad experience like the one we received here. They gave us the run around telling us we weren't approved by our credit union when in fact WE WERE approved and even had approval letter. They apparently don't like selling cars to people who do their homework and go through a credit union because they would rather rip somebody off with a higher interest rate through their lenders. They gave us an appointment for 6pm knowing the banks were closed and knowing they weren't going to be able to sell us the car if they couldn't call the bank. JIM was the person I was working with that gave us such a horrible experience. Stay away from this dealer if you're in the market for a new/used car. NOT RECOMMENDED! I WOULD GIVE IT 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new/used car, I've never had such a bad experience like the one we received here. This dealerships service center is a charade of guess and pay, they don’t know what they’re doing, they will drive your car without permission or even admitting to doing so with proof, they’ll steal your money, and lie about things you need done, very disgusted that Honda allows this to remain open and disgusted that the owner the hoehns don’t take more pride in their businesses and make sure their hiring competent employees that know what they’re doing, DO NOT COME HERE YOU WILL WASTE TIME AND MONEY AND NOT GET ANYTHING FIXED.

I came before they opened and then returned as they
I came before they opened and then returned as they opened. I was told to take a seat in the lobby Tony will be with you in 10 minutes. 3 hrs later still no Tony. I watched as a constant stream of people were helped before me although I was the first in the lobby. I was looked over, ignored and experienced zero customer service. I got up 3 times to ask for help with 3 other people and still no Tony and no one helped. I left with my question still unanswered. I spoke to a Brian on the phone before I made this long trip and he said to come in and they'd take care of me. I came in and they did not take care of me. I drove an hour to get there and an hour home. Waste of gas and 3 hours of my time.

Qoated $5,300 to fix engine or new van?!
Had our 2012 Honda Odyssey van towed to dealer because of check engine light and was told that the pistons 1-3 needed to be changed for $5,300 or did I want a new van?! Also visual inspection of rear brakes needed to be replaced, however I got new brakes only 6 months earlier, so I was spooked and had it towed to another shop I've worked with in the past. They were able to fix the engine problem for $2,700 without replacing pistins and the rear brakes were just fine! Service reps earn their living from commissions they sell you on

I am happy with my car however the staff was a bit strange. Joseph the manager was overly friendly and made me uncomfortable. Helpful and accommodated my request for floor mats, however made me feel like he was flirting with me. I could be the age of his daughter. Strange. Also called to follow up on payments, yes it wast 7:30 am, but he answered with " DUDE! Are you really calling me at 7:30 in the morning!!?" Very unprofessional. Do not answer, or give me your personal number if this is an issue. Arielle- who i worked directly with when going in. Talked too much, did not show me all the advanced options on my vehicle. Took credit for finding a car that my boyfriend found and DIDNT answer the phone when I was ready to come in the next day to purchase. When I came in to make my purchase. 1 employee jumped between me and 2 other customers, even though I had an appointment and I waited for 4 hours.... All in all, Not recommended.

Are you looking for a trustworthy, reliable dealership with excellent customer service and a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service team to answer your questions? THEN THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE DEALERSHIP FOR YOU! I leased a brand new 2021 Honda Civic. Three months into my lease, the transmission has failed and the right axel is moving laterally about 4 inches. Both need to be replaced. Because the car had to be towed by Honda Roadside, it ended up at the Vista dealership for service as this was closer than Carlsbad. And after my interactions with Skip today, who is the Hoehn Honda of Carlsbad Service Manager, I am really glad it’s in Vista. I called the Carlsbad dealership when I learned the repairs would take up to 6 weeks due to backordered parts. Diane (sales manager) was friendly but really wasn’t interested in helping me figure out what to do. She gave me an 800 number to call the Honda Factory direct. I called but they were closed for the weekend. Monday I arrived in person at Hoehn to express my concerns about the purchase and also express the need for a working car. Ron (sales manager), passed me over to Skip (service manager). As I was explaining my situation and mechanical failures, it was obvious Skip had a distain for women or maybe just people. He casually leaned back in his chair, arm over his head and didn’t say more than maybe 10 words. At one point I stopped midsentence and asked him “are you already aware of the situation?” to which he simply shook his head no. I will sum up his 10 words “call Vista, not my problem.” I was calm as a clam. Respectful. Friendly. I can only imagine how Skip treats his employees… Would love to see the survey results on that. Same with customers. No way that I am the only one he acts that unprofessionally around. No one even asked for my contact info today! So obviously the dealership I leased the car from is not planning on following up with me. So much for that “lifelong partnership” as mentioned in their mission statement. I called Honda Factory and opened a claim. I was told the claim would be escalated and that I would hear back from someone today. I did not. The Honda dealership my car is being serviced at arranged a rental car for me which I totally appreciate and quite honestly expect but they said and I quote “although Honda does not normally cover loaner cars- Honda has approved a loaner vehicle for you until your car is repaired.” Shame on Honda and Hoehn for making this seem like such a hoop to jump through. I put a lot of money down and make a monthly payment for a brand new car I cannot drive that already has MAJOR issues after only three months!!!! I would expect a dealership and Honda to bend over backwards to help a customer in this situation. Not pass me off and make me feel “honored” to have the help. I will NEVER do business with Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad. I will NEVER purchase another Honda. Bob Baker Subaru is next door and they have a superb sales and service team and Subaru stands behind their vehicles. Ken Grody Ford across the street is a close second. In fact, any dealership is better than Hoehn Honda of Carlsbad. Norm Reeves Honda in Vista has been helpful. Ryan their service manager has been professional, prompt and involved. I would go their if you want to purchase an unreliable Honda😊

We had an excellent experience with the sales person Palan Saha, he was honest and very dedicate in helping us with his knowledge to make the best purchase and fit for us. I am more than pleased with my experience at Hoehn Honda and more specifically with the service received by my dealer, Angelina. Her professionalism and friendliness made the entire car buying experience a pleasure. When I was shopping, Angelina spent the time with me to make sure I was in a car that I loved, then made sure I understood all of its features and benefits before I ever drove off of the lot. When I came back to purchase the vehicle, I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend Angelina and Hoehn if you are in the market for a Honda.
