Had a truck just like I wanted but they did not have the Carfax that I could see so I asked for it to be printed out. As I read it the first 8 years had been in NY so I decided to look again under the hood and body, there was rust everywhere - Happy I caught it - ask for carfax report and READ it when buying used vehicles.

Bought a car.

Bought a car. Took it in to get a thorough inspection. Found substantial damage. Dealership said they wouldn't help. Now I have hired an attorney. Avoid this place at all cost!

RUN! Stay away

I contacted them about the 2016 Maserati they have. I spoke with Anthony. I asked if the car needed anything, and he said no it's 100% good to go our service department checked it. I saw in the Carfax two weeks prior to them getting the car a Maserati Dealership in Va Beach serviced and had the car. So, I called them and asked about the condition of the car. They said it needed over 10k in repairs and emailed the report. I attached the inspection report STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Google this place and you will see where I posted reviews else where warning others and posted a picture of the inspection report.

I bought a LEMON!!!

I would not recommend this used car dealership to anyone. I went to this dealership a number of times before purchasing and finally gave in. I arrives on September 16th and was greeted by a drunk salesman. He was sweating, loud and all in my personal space. He insisted on going on a test drive with me and the smell burned my nose. I fell in love with a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. I came back a week later and purchased from Kathrin the Manager. I asked all the necessary questions in reference to inspections, repairs, mechanical issues, cosmetic issues etc. AND WAS REASSURED THE CAR HAD BEEN THOROUGHLY INSPECTED. There was nothing wrong or anything to be worried about. With in 4 days I was at the Benz shop putting $2,100 into the vehicle. They had also found another $2,500 worth or visible repairs under the car that needed to be fixed. I reached out to Kathrin because she sold me the car and reassured me she would talk to her manager to see what they could do. My warranty company refuse to fix any PRE-EXISTING problems and strongly suggested I take the car back where I got it from. I called and called and called the office as well as showed up but Kathrin was never available. I purchased the car for $22000 and now I'm stuck with a lemon until further notice. The car has a cracked windshield, missing panel they said they would replace but has not, after being inspected by Mercedes-Benz they found a leak under the car, cracked disc under the car, when heating the car up it smells like a can of gasoline was dumbed in my car and it makes speaking noises as I turn my wheels. I trusted the wrong used car lot and I'm am urgently speaking out so no one else is left with a large amount of debt because of falling in love with outside beauty. Photos of vehicle and repair receipts to come....

DO NOT BUY!!!

About a month ago I saw a car advertised through Car.Com for Raleigh Pre-owned.. 2018 Nissan Maxima Platinum.. all bells and whistles.. Beautiful car... Took for a test drive .. started hearing noises.. the more I drove the more noises I would hear .. took it to a local repair shop to get a once over... SO glad I did!!!... Upon further inspection discovered car had been in a PRETTY serious front end collision!.. impact so hard pushed everything back under the car!.. flexible pipes replaced with other pipes.. cut and welded together..hood replaced ( flimsy job)... Got back from inspection told them of their issues with that car ... ALL deer in the headlights look!!!.. they pulled up the "Carfax" ... ( Never showed to me by the way)... Told " no ACCIDENTS no ISSUES"... STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!... SEEMS VERY SHADY AND FLY BY NIGHT... thank you to the repair shop saved me $25,000 on an "AS,IS"... 🍋

Horrible!

Horrible. They sold me a car that started overheating within 2 weeks. It has a blown head gasket that they were either too incompetent to notice or so deceitful that they knowingly sold a vehicle in such condition. After reaching out to them repeatedly for help regarding the vehicle, they offered to send me to a wholesale mechanic they use so that I could take advantage of their "wholesale pricing"... entirely at my expense. The mechanic has been in business for about 3 years, with no online presence, and almost no reviews. Estimates I have received elsewhere for replacing the head gaskets range from $3,000 to $4,000, and may not even fix the problem if the engine had previously overheated badly enough. My kids were with me when I bought the car, and asked why I couldn't just take it back to them like the salesman said I could when we bought it. I purchased the car as-is, with no warranty, during the pandemic when cars were selling well above the normal price. The salesman told me that if there were any major problems shortly after I bought it, they would help me out, because they take care of their customers. When I asked what he meant by that, he clarified saying that I could bring it back. If they cared at all about their customers or their reputation, they would have done more than offer to send me to a sub-par mechanic at my own expense. I will never shop there again, and neither should you. If you search online, you will find that LOTS of their customers had similar experiences. When I told them that I would be writing a review, something they asked me to do when I bought the car, the finance manager said it was unfortunate that I was the kind of person who would do such a thing. I am the kind of person who hopes that this review can help someone else avoid a similar experience.

Great Used Car Buying Experience

I bought a 2015 Subaru Outback for my son. The sales staff was incredibly flexible and supportive. They were not pushy and never gave me the hard sell. They let me take as many cars out on test drives as I wanted, and they let me take two cars to my own mechanic to have them checked out. When buying a used car, it is incredibly important to be able to take your time and do as much research as you can, and the staff at Raleigh Pre-Owned let me do just that.
