We found the Honda Ridgeline we wanted at Ocean Honda in Ventura, CA. which is about 80 miles from where we live. We contacted the dealership and spoke to Stuart Lipschitz. Over the course of a Sunday afternoon, Stuart along with Ocean Honda staff, guided us through the required paperwork to complete the purchase. Later that evening the truck was delivered to our driveway by a lovely woman named Lori, who helped us with final in person signatures and gave us the keys. Overall, the best car purchase we have ever experienced.

I had a great experience with Cris, the senior sales
I had a great experience with Cris, the senior sales consultant. He was friendly, professional, and very helpful. After our test drive on a used CR-V, he helped negotiate a fair price on the vehicle I wanted. After he had documentation on the agreed upon price, he let me know he would have the manager, I believe his name was Juan, come to talk with me. I had let Cris know I would like to take the vehicle to my mechanic before purchasing it. Juan came and agreed to let me borrow the vehicle to take to my mechanic. He said he would go get the permission to borrow form for me. He returned shortly and said he couldn't let me take the vehicle after all. I was surprised, since he never said he had to ask someone else for permission to let me take the vehicle. Cris, my sales consultant was with my family at this time, getting a beverage for my mom and sister. I let Cris know the change in plans that the manager made, and I thanked him for his great service. He apologized that the plans changed. I did not purchase the vehicle, since I felt it was a red flag to me that I was not allowed to take the vehicle to my mechanic, especially since the manager told me I would be able to. I was prepared to purchase the vehicle if my mechanic would have inspected it and given me the assurance that the vehicle was in good condition, as I was told it was.

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the helpful, low-pressure attitude and professionalism of the sales team, and with SA Hector Vazquez in particular. All my questions and concerns were addressed, the Sales Manger Greg was flexible on some of the dealer add-ons I didn't want and some options I wanted, and Jen in the finance dept. was efficient and friendly. After-sales support with delivery of the car went above and beyond.

Very gimmicky sales tactics. They dont list their used vehicles for the actual price they are asking. They get you to caland l with a good advertised price. And then they tell you but the pricw doesnt include the $1895 gps tracking system and $300 paint spray protectant that you have to add to the vehicle. Just be upfront. Dont hide these details in the small print. Theres a reason car salesman are ranked just behind lawyers with trustworthyness.

Their pricing online is very misleading.
Their pricing online is very misleading. They listed a Toyota RAV4 for $22,979. When we arrived at the dealership, it was stickered for $28,000. They said the $5,000 was an additional fee they would not take off. When we showed them the listing, they say "This is how everyone does business now". I would encourage you to avoid this dealership but if you see something you like, definitely call ahead. Dealerships can be sketchy and at least you are saving yourself some gas.
