F150 guy

I honestly don't know much about this dealership other than they had a truck listed below book price and it looked extremely clean so I contacted them, they told me they had money down on it to hold it until a certain time the following day, so I asked them to let me know one way or the other (which never happened) I later on saw the same truck listed as a new arrival so I contacted them again to which I was told after several questions that the possible buyer had put more money down to hold it longer. Now in my mind this could have been eliminated if the dealership was straight with me from the beginning, or maybe this is/was a bait vehicle I don't know and don't care at this point. But I think consumers need to be aware of this. If I am wrong I'm sorry, but if my gut feeling is correct I couldn't sleep without telling the general public.

Best truck buying experience ever

Mike Mattern the owner is one of the nicest guys and will do anything to get you taken care of and make sure you are happy. Jacob will make sure you get the lowest rate and are taken care off. I think I will always buy from small dealerships they do not give you the runaround. Thanks guys

Courteous Professional Service

Called dealer about a truck listed on their website. Salesman I spoke with was very courteous and knowledgeable. I decided to visit the dealer and ended up purchasing the truck. Great service and love my new truck!

Don't visit if you are a serious buyer

My wife and I went to Mattern Auto on Oct 31st to look at a car for our son. We test drove it and left to get insurance quotes. I called back to make an offer and was told by the sales person he would check and get back to me. I never received a call back and when I checked in 5 days later the vehicle was sold. Never experienced that kind of negotiating or customer service. Do yourself a favor and go to a larger dealer where you can get better service.

Sold me a defective car

I purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor from Mattern Automotive back at the end of February. I took it home and within a week I had a problem with the shifter being stuck in gear when the car locking up and not being able to move. I called the owner and he towed it to a repair shop and had the shifter replaced no charge to me, which was great. The car was fine for a couple of months and the same problem happened again. I had not even put 3,000 miles on the car and I am already having to have it towed. So I towed to a friends shop who advised me that it was something with the transmission. He did not take a look at the transmission as it was not his area of expertise. I immediately took it to a transmission shop. The transmission shop stated that you could tell that someone had looked at the transmission as most of the screws were missing. The car had a broken parking pawl and broken springs in the transmission along with a split transmission case. I had to get the transmission replaced and it costs me over 4K after parts and labor. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a quality used car.

bad vehicles for sell bad

Had what i wanted an got me in it .

They had the rare truck I was looking for an was willing to help me get it . They were by far the most friendly an helpful bunch of people I had dealt with . The truck has been as good an better than I could of hoped for an just as they said it would be . I keep a watch on their inventory because I will deal with them again .

The Right Dealer at the Right Time

My 2000 Mountaineer died on the road with my wife and daughter in it. I needed a car right away. I?m glad I checked out this small dealer whose lot is visible from Highway 40. I got a great deal and the transaction was easy. No pressure, Just some good information and advice I needed. I love my new used car. Mattern knows his stuff and really earned my trust. He was very helpful. I am recommending him to all my friends. I usually don?t write reviews but my good experience with Mattern really impressed me.
