Super friendly and easy car buying experience...
This was my first and most likely not last vehicle purchased from Novato Toyota. Our sales associate Richard was very helpful and thorough. My wife and I have been looking for a Rav4 Prime for quite awhile now and were even on a waiting list after placing a deposit at another Toyota dealership. While surfing Novato Toyota's website I came across the exact build we had been looking for and within 24 hours I drove home with our New Rav4 Prime XSE in Blueprint. If you are looking for an easy and friendly car buying experience go to Novato Toyota and ask for Richard....
Super friendly and easy car buying experience...

Helpful and Non-Rushed Experienced
We spend the afternoon looking at a few Toyotas at this dealership. The sales rep was very accommodating and friendly upon arrival. My girlfriend and I were given the opportunity to test drive a couple of vehicles and we didn't feel rushed at all during this process. I do wish my sales rep knew a bit more about the different trim levels of the vehicles that we were looking at. Our sales rep had to refer to a sheet when we asked them what the differences were and we didn't really get the information we needed from him. Also, when it came time to make a decision about what we wanted to do. We felt a bit pressured to make a decision right then and there. This was a big purchase for us and we weren't quite ready to make a decision at that moment. I think they run a great shop and they have a great selection of vehicles.

Honesty and Integrity? Award Winning Service?
I was approved for financing and started the car buying process looking for a new car. As the shelter in place for COVID 19 progressed, I decided to look at used vehicles instead to mitigate any financial risk if my employment situation changed. After agreeing on a vehicle, the price, and financing terms - I requested a test drive. Being in a high risk group for COVID, I asked to test drive alone and we agreed to meet at my home under all of these terms. Upon arrival, I was presented with a completely different vehicle. It was older and a different make and model as well. It was presented for the same terms as the vehicle I was expecting. Additionally, I was then told I was not allowed to test drive alone. This was uncomfortable on many levels, so I contacted the owner. The owner did not take this situation or my complaint seriously- and even tried to tell me that I was wrong! He did not try to make it right. The very things that they describe themselves as being- honest, having integrity, and providing award winning service certainly did not apply in my situation.

I contacted the dealership, they could not get me the car I wanted, and tried to subsitute it for another color.

Hello Disgruntled in Santa Rosa, I'm sorry to read we were unable to find the new Toyota you were looking for. Unfortunately, this happens more than you might imagine. The Toyota line-up is extensive and many models are in short supply especially if you're looking for a specific color with certain equipment. We are continuously explaining this to many clients but it sounds like this may not have been conveyed to you in the most professional or courteous manner. Fair prices, great staff
We started our search for a Prius online using Cars.com and looking at all the available Prii with the trim we wanted in the North Bay. Novato Toyota is closest to our home, and we have two kids and not much time, so I test drove one there, but didn't commit to buying it. The salesmen I talked to were great and there was no pressure. After doing our research, I called Novato Toyota and asked if they would match the price we got online from a few other dealerships. Novato Toyota gave us the best price out of them all -- so easy! But one of the best parts of the entire process was setting the whole deal up over the phone and via email so that when we went in to sign papers, that is all we had to do. With kids in tow we were in and out within 20 minutes, our new Prius was clean and waiting for us, and we drove off before either kid noticed they were bored. It was brilliant! (Since purchasing, we've serviced our Prius with Novato Toyota and it's always an efficient, pleasant experience.) I will buy my next Toyota from Novato Toyota for sure!

Low key and very helpful
We recently purchased a used Toyota from John Larsen. When walking around the lot looking at cars,I usually cringe when a sales person approaches, but John was different. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He showed us cars in our budget and did not try to up-sale us! I really appreciate him and would defiantly purchase from him again in the future.

I recently bought a car from this dealership.. my salesman was John Larsen and he was exceptional. It's so hard to find someone so genuine that is so willing to actually do their best to make sure you have a positive experience. This guy is awesome!
