I bought a new 2026 CRV a few weeks ago and noticed the

I bought a new 2026 CRV a few weeks ago and noticed the GPS electronic display did not work. The speed readings jumped back n forth between numbers and was a clear indication of an electronic malfunction. Lots of people at this dealership tried to “help” including my salesperson and technicians. They test drove it, told me they replicated the GPS problem with Google Maps and Waze. First I was told it was an Apple Car Play issue, then a Google Maps issue (even though Waze didn’t work either). They kept telling me it wasn’t their or Honda problem, the blame kept shifting to Apple and Google when it was the Honda parts failing to work. They gave me a 2025 CRV loaner and the GPS applications worked just fine so obviously the unit in my car was defective. I asked for a new car replacement but it was denied. They also refused to do any repair. I would not buy a car here because this dealership will not genuinely take responsibility to resolve your problem. They also said this infotainment problem exists in the 2026 CRV and HRV models so do not buy any of these until Honda and/or the dealership agrees to fix the problem! I’ve also reported this problem to the State Attorney General - if it is as widespread of a problem as they say and there isn’t a fix for it then a recall is warranted.

I am sorry for your situation, but please allow me to clarify our side of things. There is nothing wrong with your infotainment screen or your navigation system. The "help" you mention included the General Manager, a 27-year Sales Manager, a 30+ year Honda Master Technician, and Honda TechLine, The issue lies between Apple CarPlay and any connected navigation system application that displays a speedometer. This was tested in your vehicle as well as a similar 2026 Honda CR-V EXL with the same result. The information from an Apple iPhone does not communicate the speed properly. We also tested this through the Android Auto system with a Samsung phone. When connecting the same way, Google Maps did not display the speed on the screen. Everything was done to try and rectify your situation. It is an application issue and not a Honda issue. We even tested through a wired connection of Apple CarPlay with the same result. This was communicated to you several times. I am confident Apple will have a fix in the near future. I am sorry you feel we didn't do everything we could to assist, but I can assure you, South Tacoma Honda went above and beyond to try and resolve your situation.
