Based on my most recent customer experience, I am rating
Based on my most recent customer experience, I am rating Chevrolet of Palatine “5 Stars.” The main reason is the exceptional level of service and attention I received from my Service Rep. (Efrain). He provided a 100% better customer experience than previous Service Reps. did. Keep up the good work.

People are nice to work with.
People are nice to work with. Unfortunately, per the work order my oil change monitor was reset which it was not. It was still showing 63% when I looked to see if the washer fluid was filled to the top it was not I will say the tires were all brought to an equal psi. I also asked the service representative multiple times about a brake estimate which I was told would've been emailed the same day I was there and it's now been four days and I have not gotten it yet. So missing those things it makes me wonder about the rest of the inspection

One of the best experiences I've had buy a car.
One of the best experiences I've had buy a car. Melissa was an excellent sales representative both helpful and familiar with her products. Steve was a great sales manager walking us through the sale. Lastly, what is normally the worst part (finance) was smooth and easy. I would recommend the dealer to anyone.

After multiple phone calls and texts, I can say with confidence that my service advisor was totally clueless and unfit for that position. My utter lack of confidence in this dealership led me to have my car towed to another shop for repair. Palatine Chevy will no longer be getting my business.

This has been months of unimaginable stress and
This has been months of unimaginable stress and frustration, and I am at my wit’s end. My husband and I purchased a brand-new 2023 Chevy Trailblazer from Chevy of Palatine in October 2023, excited for a reliable family vehicle. Little did we know, our lives would soon be turned upside down by a series of events that have caused us both immense fear and distress. In August 2024, just ten months later, the check engine light came on. We took the vehicle to Chevy of Palatine’s service department, as it was still so new. The service team informed us that the fuel pump needed to be replaced, so they gave us a loaner vehicle and ordered the necessary part. It took a couple of weeks for the replacement to arrive. Once the vehicle was repaired, we picked it up, only for the unimaginable to happen just days later. While driving on the expressway, on our way to pick up our 3-year-old daughter, the vehicle suddenly caught fire. This was the most terrifying moment of our lives. We had no choice but to jump out of the truck and run to safety, then call the fire department to extinguish the flames. In a state of shock, we had the vehicle towed back to Chevy of Palatine and filed a claim with State Farm. In the meantime, we were forced to Uber for two days and rely on a rental car, as we had no other options. When the adjuster from State Farm inspected the vehicle, the dealership admitted fault, acknowledging that GM had sent them a defective part and that my car was still under warranty. They assured State Farm they would take responsibility for the repairs. State Farm then dropped the claim, as it was clear the issue was caused by the dealership’s mistake. I immediately contacted the dealership, expressing my deep concern about the safety of putting my family back in the same vehicle. I told them I no longer wanted the car, as I could not in good conscience risk my children’s lives. The manager I spoke with agreed to help us trade the car in once it was repaired, offering significant discounts due to the trauma and inconvenience we’d endured. However, months later, after the truck was repaired (again), the dealership’s offer was a slap in the face. They insisted the best they could do was a $4k discount on a new vehicle, with the store manager, Brandon V, telling us we should be “grateful” for that. The salesperson, Carlos, even had the nerve to claim that the fire was not their fault, asking us why we were upset, as if the near-death experience we endured didn’t matter. When we explained our concerns about the safety of putting our children back in the same truck, Carlos slid the keys across the desk aggressively, saying, “Well, take your car back then.” We left with no solution, still driving the same vehicle that almost cost us our lives just three months earlier. It is painfully clear that the staff at Chevy of Palatine have no understanding of the severity of what happened to us or any respect for the safety of our children. They showed no empathy, no accountability, and no appreciation for the trauma we’ve experienced. While we will trade in the truck, it will not be with Chevy of Palatine. I would never wish this experience on anyone, and I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with them to think twice. This isn’t just about bad service – it’s about life and death. It could very well cost you your life.
