Bait and switch

Poor customer service, look elsewhere. They add almost $4,000 in dealership fees to the list price. Salespeople are very young and inexperienced. They did not get my business.

%50 upcharge on cost of car. MOVE ON ELSEWHERE.

Terrible dealer. STAY AWAY FROM. Also Hyundai of Palatine. Seems to be same company. Looking at an $11k car and they wanted my stick me with $5k in add-on that I didn't ask for or want. That's almost a %50 bike in cost of the car. I wanted to tell them to go"F" themselves. They claim that they add the coat finish and lo-jack to all the cats for the benefit of the customer. And After some haggling to get them to remove the cost of both, turns out that they "haven't installed the LoJack yet" so they can take that off. Let's see, is been on their lot for 8 weeks and they haven't gotten to it and were claiming it was already installed and tried to charge me for it. The cost of the costing is $2595.00 and cost them like $250 plus a few hours of their $10 per hour porters to do. I was ready to pull out $13k+ in $100 bills. And they didn't want to lose out on all the upsale fees instead of moving inventory and recouping what they put into the car and decided to let it sit on the lot. Oh and after telling them that I only want to spend so much, they were like, "what's wrong with financing" I told them like 3 times, I don't want to finance. I want to out it outright.

I’ll provide the facts.

I’ll provide the facts. I went the dealer to pay asking price on new 2022 Tesla. Xzilon ($2595) was previously applied. I declined the following add-ons: $2900 used car surcharge, $2500 rust protection package, $1995 Lo-Jack. They refused to accept my own financing, so I offered to pay in cash. They refused to sell me the car because I was paying in cash. Such a weird experience, I don’t blame the sales or finance guys, these are corporate policies that prey on impoverished and less sophisticated consumers. I bought my car later that night at Tesla.com (no issues, no add ons).

Can’t be trusted. Steer clear!!!

Found a car on Car Gurus (2012 Hyundai Sonata) listed at $11,903. Went for a test drive and really liked it. In the negotiation portion, found out they had performed a $2,500 detail and paint protection service and that had to be added to the price of the car. In this day and age, you’d think car dealers wouldn’t bait and switch people or pull these ridiculous tactics. They take what should be a fun and exciting event and ruin it by lying, hiding, and changing things at the last minute. I’ll never touch a car at Palatine Chevrolet or ANY OTHER Leader Auto Group dealership and I pray you won’t waste your time going to any of their dealerships either. They can’t be trusted at all.

Stay Away Go anywhere but here!!!!

This place sold me a truck that was supposed to be accident free. Not the case this thing was in a major accident. Horrible experience they won’t even answer the BBB just goes to show you what kinda operation they run. Stay away from Leaders Dealerships. Go anywhere else !!!!!!

I guess I should have came here to look at the reviews

I guess I should have came here to look at the reviews before driving 5 hours to buy a car. Car was on their site for just under $27k we were putting $15k down and they brought us a paper saying we'd be financing $28k. So essentially our $15000 was covering their fees.. People please quit buying from these people.

False advertisement and lost all trust

Went in for a test drive and with the intentions of purchasing a certified pre owned Equinox. Get to the pricing portion and found out that a mandatory $2600 package is required to purchase their vehicles and you can not opt out. Continue to negotiate final price and warranty and at that point they say the car is used not certified which is all over their website that the selected vehicle was certified and had a warranty included. The manager tried to discredit the meaning of certified and said certified just meant adding a 12 month warranty which was nothing because we were adding on a extended warranty. When I asked if they could honor their website and 12 month/12000 mile warranty and they said no because they could not get it through the GM certification process. Walked away and will not return!!

The true definition of "awful" - don't believe the price

The true definition of "awful" - don't believe the price you see online. They will raise the price 20% after you take a test drive and blame low inventory. They also try to include a fee for "Xzilon" which is a scam, the fee is $2595.00. This is the worst dealership I have ever walked into. They also refuse to sell you a car if you want to pay out of pocket and not finance with them. Move on, don't go here. I never have any problems with anyone, for me to write this review says a lot. Please move on from the horrible place.
