Charlie's Honda was recommended to me by two different people. Now I understand why. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and most importantly to me, didn't mess around or waste time. I had a firm idea of what I wanted and they didn't try to push me toward something pricier. I appreciate that. Harrison is a great guy - he knows his stuff and was easy to do business with.
New Honda Odyssey Purchase
I have previously bought 16 new cars. NEVER before did I receive the type of service that Charlie's provides, MOST notably from the sales guys that I had an extreme pleasure to deal with. I live in MA and was purchasing a new car for my son who was moving to Winthrop, Maine. My first contact was with ALAN KENNEY who right off the bat gave me what I knew was a UNBELIEVABLE DISCOUNT!! I spent many years in the new car business and recognized the discount I got on THE 2018 Honda Odyssey as HUGE. I calculated it was below invoice.... In any event in addition to the supa $$, Alan communicated with me via e-mail (as he pointed out once we met at the dealership) OVER 60 TIMES! What sales person in any dealership would respond to SIXTY E-MAILS!! ?? Alan advised me and patiently answered all of my questions as the registering process is totally different in Maine vs MA. The was also NO "games" played with silly unnecessary "BS" being offered as ad-ons to the purchase like most dealers do. The actual delivery was done by Pat Michaud who went over the cah with my son as if he was his own son buying a car for the first time. Never before did I see any sales person spend so much time explaining EVERY detail of the cah. Pat even insisted on taking my son for a "test drive". Something that you only expect when your looking to purchase a cah. Pat was spending so much time going over the car it prompted me to tell him that my son didn't need anymore assistance as he could read the manual. Pat would have nothing to do with that as he insisted on going over every detail. The finance manager, Alex Musica was thorough and went over all the figures and you cannot beat Honda financing at 1.9% . All-in all my experience with doing business with Charlie's and their staff was the most satisfying I have ever had. Only a month earlier I had purchased a "pricy" BMW in Ma and had gotten the run-around with all sorts of BS during the negotiations and upon delivery of a cah that cost 85K the salesman tossed the keys to me and said "here you go". If you live within 100 miles of a Charlie's dealership when you need to purchase a car and you don 't do business with them then you are out of your mind. Bill Mullen Quincy, MA
We needed a car with passenger seats that have a particular attribute. My research showed 2 vehicles. One was a Toyota Sienna. The other was a Honda Odyssey. For 28 years, all of our new cars have come from Charlie’s. With the help of Jeff Hanson and Paul Dustin our needs were completely fulfilled. Thanks for the help and understanding. Also thanks for another pleasant buying experience. GO HONDA!!

First time car buyer
I worked with Paul, Phil, and Alan and they were amazing! It was my first time in a car dealership by myself and I was nervous. As soon as we got talking about numbers, they talked to me like I was a member of the family. I would recommend Charlie's Honda to everyone! Especially first time buyers.
Just wanted to follow up to say thank you for your help purchasing our new Pilot. I really appreciated the ability to discuss a deal over the phone with you and basically work everything out prior to driving up to Augusta. Like the first time we worked with you four years ago, I found you to be straight forward, honest, and kind. Compared to other dealerships I?ve been to, yours is the most welcoming, least stressful, and cleanest. Throughout our time there last night, everyone, including Paul, Lori, and you were very welcoming to my 4-year-old daughter, and I truly appreciate that. And that being said, I know you also stayed late last night for us, which meant you had less time with your own daughter. Thank you for that.
I've been using this facility for several years and have had one great experience after another. They know me by first name as soon as I come in the door. I've bought several Hondas there and had every single service done with them. I will keep going back. I have already recommended them several times.
The leasing experience was excellent from start to finish. Dave, Josh, and Alex were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. We will return to Charlie,s for our next vehicle. Thanks for a nice experience.
We had a dented oil pan on our Subaru that the Prompto oil change place in on Western Ave in Augusta pointed out to my wife. She got two estimates to fix at local garages - it is a very straightforward fix. She wanted to go to the dealership (Charlies) to give them a shot, I told her it would be more expensive, but she liked the last dealership she had dealt with where we lived previously. They put the car on the lift, told her it needed a new oil pan (which she had already told them) and they quoted a price almost twice as much as the other two shops. She told them it was a lot more expensive than the other quotes. They then told her it would be $49 for the estimate. When she balked they said she couldn't have her keys back until she paid up so she did. I called them later that afternoon to complain, they sounded miffed, said time was money. A minute later they said they would refund half of it. I told them that since they never told her they charge for estimates that they could refund all of it or I would call the State Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Division and Subaru Corporate. They refunded it all. Great service! Blacklisted for life.
