Great Quality & Very Helpful
Melissa & Mike were great. They were very helpful in helping me purchase my vehicle. I was having some trouble securing a decent insurance company and Melissa took time out of her schedule to help me look for and purchase insurance. They are very reliable and friendly people. I know that if I were to have any problems with my vehicle they'd help me out without hesitation. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle.

Lakeshore Auto Sales, South Haven, Buyer BEWARE
I recently was looking for a used car and I don't have the best credit. When I talked to the couple that own Lakeshore Auto Sales, they seemed like really likeable people. They told us about how well they have every car checked over to make sure it's mechanically sound. They said that's the only reason they are able to sell to people with less than perfect credit is by ensuring the cars they sell are mechanically sound. I normally would never buy a car without having my mechanic check the car over, but they are good at adding that sense of urgency in the sale. It's a new dealership and they have monthly goals and they have other customers interested in the car, and that car won't be there in a day or two if we don't commit to buying. So, against my better judgement, I purchased the car "As Is" without having my mechanic look at it. Immediately after taking the car home, I noticed there were major issues with the engine. I then took it to my mechanic and asked him to check it out. I was informed that the car had a condition called "Blow By". It wasn't something that just happened, It was caused by poor maintenance for many years, and it's not something that a mechanic would have missed if it would have been checked out. Of course Lakeshore Auto sales told me that the car was sold as is, and they weren't legally bound or interested in assisting me with the repair. So after just driving the car off the lot, I had to replace the engine. Please don't let them pressure you to not take the time to have your own mechanic check a car out if you are interested in anything on their lot. Don't believe that they make sure all their cars are mechanically sound before they put them on the lot. Be vigilant and look out for yourself because all they care about it making that sale and then getting you out of their way to more on to the next customer. There's no interest in building customer loyalty here, so I would be surprised if they are around long.

I am disappointed to see this but you can't please everyone. you were never discouraged from having your mechanic look at your car. I always encourage to take it somewhere because I do not have a mechanic shop. you took the car overnite before we did paperwork so you had every opportunity to do so. we did paper work on 09/25/13 you had car week before I could get the GPS done.. when you dropped it off for that you went on about the great gas mileage and what a great car it was. I did the GPS on 10/02/13 and you were happy. there is urgency in every deal because we do sell cars as fast as they come in.. for a reason. we do have our cars looked at and try to fix any safety items that may arise from info we get from the shops we send them too. not because I have too.. but because I do care about my customers.. I have a following of customers 10 yrs long and mike has 23yrs of customers that still buy from him...and my business survives off of repeat and referral business as the major part of our new business. once in awhile there is uncontrollable situations that cause a unhappy customer. I am sorry, but please be honest about it. you called me month and half after you bought car and said it went thru 2 quarts of oil and I said it wasn't doing that before. you said I know but my mechanic said it needed a $2,000 motor is there a warranty. I said there was no warranty it was as is but I could recommend some better places to look because I get motors and transmissions when I need them between 250-900 and most come with a short term warranty 90 day, 6 mo or yr. depending on what they have available and where you get it. told him mike was not in office but to call back on Monday and I would get some contacts together for you so you can get our pricing on what you need to save you some money. you never called back. probably could have saved you $1000 or so. I do this for folks everyday! I sell so many cars I am busy everyday but am always more than willing to try my best for my customers.
