Thank you for your outstanding customer service and helping us locate the vehicle our family was looking for and securing the deal! Travelling 3 hours... to get a vehicle seems a bit challenging, but you made it all worth it. We hope to do business again in the future!
Let me start off saying however, during the purchase process, the service was excellent. I was well please with how my wife and I were treated and helped... though the buying process. It's the after that questions my thoughts of Perkins Motor Plex. Its a long story, but I'll shorten it as much as I can. After the purchase I drive the truck for about 5 days, taking it to the car was, afterward my headlamp when out, I took to Nissan dealership to get replace and they informed me that the whole headlamp assy would need replace as the truck had been wrecked and it would cost me $1200. After a "closer" inspection of the truck, I could see the headlamp assy housing was broken, also the grill was lose only being held on my "zip ties". When the hood was shut, you could see a larger than normal gap between the hood and fender. Also down along side the driver side fender and door, you could see dings in the body, you couldn't see them that well out in the sunlight, but under the shop lights at Nissan, you could clearly see them. I called Perkins Motor Plex and the salesman that I worked with told me to bring the truck back in, I also had a large, loud squeaking coming from the wheels. I dropped the truck off and they did give me a loner car. The next day the Salesman called me back saying that it was going to cost me $350 for the headlamp, which personally I don't think I should be paying for because this is something they should have caught. He also told me that the headlamp had to be ordered. I agreed, not with any pleasure, to paying the $350. My truck stayed there over the weekend, I called Monday to check on the progress of the truck, although the headlamp hadn't come in, I figured all other work was being done with it. NO!!! The salesman told me he would get it over to the body shop to get the dings worked out of it. The next day, Tuesday I call and he said the body shop did a great job and that I could pick it up. I picked it up, drove it home and it was still squeaking very loud. I knew the headlamp assy would be in that weekend, so I figured that they would take care of the rest of the work when I took the truck back. On the following Monday, I called and the salesman told me the headlamp came in, I took the truck up to him that day, he also gave me another loner car then. Tuesday I called and check on the progress and he said everything was complete and I could pick it up. I picked up the truck, drove it home and STILL heard the loud squeaking coming from the tires. The next day, I called the salesman and took my truck back up there that day. They (Perkins Moto Plex) sent it to Nissan for repair, they said it needed break calipers. The salesman told me that it would cost x amount of dollars and he was looking for "cheaper" calipers.. I'm going to make this a short end... Perkins Motor Plex chose to put me, the customer at a big inconvenience for the price of cheaper break calipers, I had to wait 9 days for the brake calipers to be put on the truck. The Nissan dealership told me they could have had it fixed in a couple of days using the Nissan parts (that Perkins Motor Plex) didn't want to pay for. So Perkins Motor Plex put me at an inconvenience for 9 plus day for cheaper parts and they also charge me $350 for a headlamp assembly that I shouldn't have had to pay for in the 1st place. I bought my truck and out of the 1st 32 days of ownership, I only drove it, had possession of it for 14 of those day. I find this totally unacceptable. I find myself questioning what type of dealership Perkins Motor Plex really is, that's willing to put their customers out like this, at that level of inconvenience. I had to already cancel one weekend with my family because of this. I find myself what else is going to go wrong with this truck I bough? Did I buy a lemon? did I get taken? we will see.. I just don't have faith in Perkins Motor Plex
Bought a 2016 Chevy Traverse back in October 2018. I understand I bought the vehicle as is, but I didn't expect to have engine problems 3 months after... buying a vehicle that I've only put 5,000 miles on. I was never shown a carfax so I don't know the history. Has it ever had any issues? About two weeks after my purchase the steering starting getting jerky to the point that we don't even like to drive it. Three days after purchasing it the GPS stopped working and hasn't worked since. Since I've owned this vehicle it has never been abused it only has 55,000 miles. IF YOU'RE BUYING A VEHICLE FROM PERKINS MY SURE YOU DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE IT TO BE LOOKED OVER BY YOUR MECHANIC. JUST A HEADS UP.
Grant was a very good salesman to work with and made my vehicle purchase a pleasant experience. I made my second purchase from this dealership.
Eric Hampton was a pleasure with whom to work. He made great efforts to see that the Yukon transferred from the company’s Kentucky center was in excellent... condition.
Wanted to upgrade our tow vehicle but could not find what we wanted locally. Perkins had the truck with all the options I had been looking for. The price... was good, the trade in price was fair and The salesman (Country) was very professional to deal with. Drove total 6 hours round trip to do the deal. Great place to shop and inventory looked great! Thanks again (Country) for your help .
Grant was more than accommodating during this process. We have a growing family, and I needed a SUV. I called the dealership, and Grant was able to text... me all the information I needed about the process, new car, and my trade. We scheduled a time, and when I got there, my car and paperwork was ready to go to make the process as seamless as possible. 100% would recommend Perkins in Nashville.
Best dealership I have ever been to. GRANT was very very easy to work with went through all options to make sure I got the best deal.
