I am extremely disappointed with our recent experience at
I am extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Fred Anderson Nissan of Raleigh. After signing a purchase agreement for a vehicle, we were shocked to learn that the dealership sold the vehicle to someone else while we were 3 hours into our 4 hour trip there to finalize the paperwork. This is not just frustrating—it’s a breach of trust and a violation of North Carolina contract law; N.C. Gen. Stat 75-1.1. Under North Carolina law, a signed purchase agreement constitutes a binding contract. Once both parties have signed, the dealership is legally obligated to uphold their end of the agreement. If not signed by dealer and only the buyer, proof of implied consent such as text messages or emails are acceptable. Selling the vehicle after a contract has been executed is considered a breach of contract. On June 25, 2025 at 10:20 AM, we served Fred Anderson with a Letter of Demand via certified mail. If it is not complied with by the due date, our attorney is prepared to file a lawsuit. Jordan promised they would do everything to make it right and they simply didn’t. We paid the same price for a vehicle 2 years older with less features and more miles. Additionally, on our way home the following day, the tire rotation and oil change light came on. I contacted Jordan about this and he said someone from the service department would reach out, which they never did. My wife posted a Google review, and Jordan offered us $200 for diagnostics to be done on the vehicle and for the Google review to be removed, which we declined. We want to warn others: do not assume your signed agreement means the deal is final at this dealership. Our experience shows that even with paperwork in place, your vehicle may still be sold to someone else. Proceed with caution.

What the car buying process should be, but usually isn't.

Great Experience with very minor hiccups – Fred Anderson
Great Experience with very minor hiccups – Fred Anderson Nissan of Raleigh We recently purchased a 2025 Frontier Pro-4X from Fred Anderson Nissan of Raleigh, and overall, the experience was very positive. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by John Ruggere, our sales professional, who welcomed us with a pleasant smile and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. There was no pressure whatsoever, and the atmosphere remained relaxed from beginning to end. John was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, addressing our questions with patience and professionalism. During the test drive, John was especially engaging—he highlighted key features of the Frontier while still giving us space to experience the vehicle in its natural form. There was absolutely no pressure, just a genuine effort to help us get to know the truck. That balance made a strong impression and set the tone for the rest of the process. The showroom was clean, bright, and well-organized, with plenty of seating areas to lounge in while waiting. During our visit, we were also shown the service area, where we met Chaz, who was just as pleasant and informative. We also worked with Mario Mejia, who handled the documentation process. He was meticulous, ensuring all the paperwork was accurate and clearly explained. Beyond his professionalism, Mario brings a personal story that reflects deep dedication—we sincerely appreciate his and his family’s service to this great country. You’ll understand exactly what we mean once you sit down with him and have a conversation in his office. While the experience was largely smooth, there were a couple of minor issues: the truck was missing the first aid/medipack kit, but John quickly provided one after we mentioned it. Additionally, the fuel level at delivery was below 3/4 of a tank—not ideal, but we chose not to wait as we had already spent considerable time at the dealership. Despite these small oversights, the overall experience was professional, low-stress, and transparent. We're thrilled with our new Frontier Pro-4X and would gladly recommend Fred Anderson Nissan of Raleigh—especially John Ruggere—to anyone seeking a no-pressure, customer-first car buying experience.
