I've been shopping a few different dealerships for a new vehicle. I'm looking for something very specific. After briefly talking with salesman Connor,... when the price was ready, Alfy showed up with a printout of the quote from the Kia build your car feature (this is available to anyone online). The printout had the exact specifications I was looking for. The price quoted was for MSRP. No discount. Nothing. Alfy told me this was their best price. The price they quoted at that point was higher than another dealer for the same configuration. After discussing with my wife, I said that I would like to think about, and asked for the printout with their price. At this point, it went downhill, quick. Alfy told me that I could not have this printout and started that this was 'internal information.' I'll admit that I was caught off guard, but I stood up and said I'll shop elsewhere... And then Alfy told me that 'he didn't need to sell me this car,' and that he 'could sell it to plenty of other people.' At this point, Alfy become noticably agitated and hostile towards me. This continued as I walked towards the door... With Alfy following me, and continuing to display his hostile demeanor towards my wife and me. There appeared to be two managers at a desk near the front door (I later learned one of them was a manager - Darren Matthews -the namesake?). Here Darren agreed that my request for taking the quote with me was reasonable, after I told him that Alfy's handling of the situation would cost them the sale. Here Alfy finally offered the quote to me... And I declined to take it. I was done. I will not be returning to Mathew's Kia of Cartersville. Ever. I will also enthusiastically share my experience with anyone willing to listen. This really was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Stay away.

I went to check out a Kia Soul Ex that I seen online and when I got there, I was greeted by Chris and then my friend, Dexter, who sold me my 2015 Optima.l... was truly blessed with this car, but fell in love with my new Soul Ex. I had a blast of meeting the staff, who was extremely courteous and helpful. I joined the Kia family in 2014 and felt right at home. I’m so glad that DEXTER is back. If you want a car sold with love, this is the place. Thank you again.
Went in for recall and they explained everything very friendly customer service people in the service dept very pleasant experience they also serviced... my rear end and trans. Great job
I leased a new Kia at the end of April this year on a referral from my parents who had just purchased a new Kia from what was metro Kia at the time. I... was told that since I was putting more of a down payment than I wanted and paying more per month than I wanted that not only would the lay payments be taken care of on my old car, but that the end of lease fees on my previous car would be taken care of. Skip to beginning of November and chase is sending me a bill for $5000. I started texting with someone who is at what is now Matthews Kia who said she would have to pass info to the managers. 3 weeks later I find out that none of the payments were taken care of. Not only that but nothing was ever written down about taking care of the other fees but they didn’t see anything about making the last payments. I had 3 payments left and Matthews only took care of 2 because that’s all metro had written down which they found on the original paperwork that had been filed away. Matthews legally did what they needed to but they should have honored what I was told. I have a text message from a Kia employee saying that metro did this to lots of people. I don’t understand how Kia as a company can screw people over so bad. They are a bunch of mismanaged shady idiots who take people’s money and don’t care what happens. Between their shady business dealings and chase’s idiot people I am not stuck with a $5000 bill and ruined credit because the payments were not taken care of 9 months ago. When I contacted corporate all they said was since it is a franchise they have absolute no impact on what they do and they don’t care and will do nothing to rectify the situation. What kind of business doesn’t regulate their franchises? I will never buy another Kia and I promise that my family and friends will not either. I will tell everyone who will listen including news/media outlets about your shady dealings. I can’t imagine the recurring revenue they are losing from all these people that got screwed over is worth the little bit of money they would pay out to make things right with their customers. DO NOT TRUST THEM AND DO NOT BUY A KIA.
I had to leave a review after the great experience I had at Matthews KIA. I am new to the area and was looking to trade in my car for a new Sorento. I... saw an ad online and decided to give them a shot and I am happy I did. My experience from the internet department all the way to finance was great. The whole staff answered all my questions and I felt that they had my best intentions at heart. If you are looking for a vehicle trust me when I say giving Matthews KIA a shot will be worth it. I just purchased a new Kia Soul from Mathews Kia of Cartersville Georgia and I live in Tennessee. Yes, the drive was well worth it, and I passed many Kia... Dealerships on the way as well. The GM, Darren Matthews was THE reason I drove over 2 hours. When I spoke to Darren Matthews prior to purchasing a new Kia Soul, his promise of exemplary customer service held true. So if you are looking for a Dealership who remembers that the Customer is the reason they have a job and should be treated with care, then look no further than Darren Matthews! Dont just take my word for it, go to Mathews Kia of Cartersville Georgia and ask for Darren Matthews and experience their Customer Service first hand.
If you value your kids safety please do not buy a car from here!!!! I bought a 2017 Kia Sorento. I was told to bring it back for a complete detail. I noticed... the next day that a piece around my windshield was missing so we call and the salesman told me he would order it. We called at least 8 times to get it replaced finally they said to bring it in and they would replace it with a used part we agreed. I took the car the same day to get the part replaced and the car cleaned. They did a horrible job cleaning the car and it took an hour and a half. While supposedly cleaning the car they unhooked my 4 year olds car seat and did not tell me. They also tried to hide it by shoving the belt in the seat. I talked to 2 different managers and the owner. At first they acted like they cared until I informed them that any amount of trust I had was lost and I would prefer to bring the car back and cut all ties with them. We purchased 2 extended plans also so we are required to bring my car there for service. I talked to Ralph over a week ago and he said that they would reimburse me the amount for the warranty and allow me to keep them to regain my trust and come get my car to detail it properly .... I have called back and emailed multiple times and now he won’t return my calls. I will report them to the better business bureau and take other action if need be. I am so disappointed with everything that has to do with this place. I hope I can save someone else the pain of dealing with such a horrible business. I have never felt so helpless as a mother and can not understand how someone could do that and then not say I unhooked your child’s car seat. It’s a simple sentence that could save my child’s life.
