Buying a truck from Woodhouse Ford Plattsmouth was one of
Buying a truck from Woodhouse Ford Plattsmouth was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. I purchased a 2005 Ford F-150 that was advertised as a “clean, one-owner, low-mileage” vehicle. I trusted the Woodhouse name. That trust cost me $4,394.12 in repairs within days of leaving the lot. The truck had seized brake calipers, brake pads worn down to <1mm, and other serious safety issues that made it dangerous to drive. No responsible dealership should have allowed a vehicle in this condition to be sold, let alone pass it off as “inspected” and “road-ready.” I contacted them immediately after discovering the issues. Their response? Silence. No apology, no help, no accountability. Just complete disregard for the situation they put me in. As a recent college grad, this kind of unexpected cost has been a financial disaster, and they couldn’t care less. If you're reading this and thinking about buying from this place, don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other dealerships that won’t sell you a death trap and then disappear when it all goes wrong. Woodhouse Plattsmouth clearly does not value its customers once the papers are signed. Avoid this place at all costs.

I recently purchased a used truck from Woodhouse Ford
I recently purchased a used truck from Woodhouse Ford Plattsmouth, and it has turned into one of the most stressful and costly experiences I’ve had. I’m sharing this in hopes that others can avoid what I went through. I needed a reliable vehicle quickly after my previous car—gifted by my grandparents—suffered transmission failure. I grew up in the Omaha metro area and had always viewed Woodhouse as a trustworthy name in the dealership world. That reputation gave me confidence when I found a truck advertised as a “clean, one-owner vehicle” with “low mileage” at their Plattsmouth location. During the test drive, I noticed the truck had worn ball joints and an exhaust leak. I told the salesman (who I later learned was new) that I would only buy the truck if these issues were repaired. They agreed, which reassured me that I was making a safe, fair purchase. I was told the work would take one week—but it ended up taking three. When I finally picked up the truck, it drove far worse than before. The steering was extremely stiff, and the brakes barely worked. Concerned for my safety, I immediately returned to the dealership. The staff was dismissive, and I had to push to get someone from service to test drive it. The technician returned after a few minutes and told me everything was “normal.” I couldn’t believe it—he was trying to convince me that a vehicle barely able to steer or stop was acceptable. Not satisfied, I took the truck to another Woodhouse Ford location that I’d had positive experiences with in the past. Their inspection revealed $4,500 worth of safety repairs were needed. The brake calipers were seized, and the pads were down to 1mm—nearly metal-on-metal. These weren’t small oversights; they were major safety issues that should have been addressed before the truck was ever sold. As a recent college graduate with limited funds, I had to max out my credit card just to make the vehicle drivable. On top of the loan I already took out for the truck, this repair bill has set me back financially in a serious way. If I had known the true condition of the vehicle, I never would have bought it. What’s most frustrating is that I trusted Woodhouse because of their strong local reputation. I believed they inspected the vehicles they sold and stood by their quality. That clearly wasn’t the case here. Whether it was due to a lack of proper inspection or a system that allows unsafe vehicles to be passed off as “clean,” I feel the dealership failed in its responsibility to sell a safe, roadworthy vehicle. This experience has shown me how vulnerable consumers are when buying used vehicles—and how little recourse we have when things go wrong. Stronger consumer protections are desperately needed. Buyers shouldn’t be left footing the bill for dangerous vehicles sold under the guise of being well-maintained. I urge anyone considering a used car from this dealership—or anywhere—to insist on a third-party inspection before purchase. Don't rely on reputation or trust that “everything has been looked over.” Get it in writing, and don’t hesitate to walk away if anything seems off. Unfortunately, I learned these lessons the hard way. I hope my experience helps others avoid the same costly mistake.

We had a great experience with Woodhouse Ford
We had a great experience with Woodhouse Ford Plattsmouth. Patrick was great to work with and Al of their personnel are top notch. It’s a short drive from Omaha and well worth it. They’ll be at the top of our list for our next car purchase.

My lease was running out on my 2022 Silverado so we stopped at the dealership and was helped by Jake. He went above and beyond what was expected and put us in a 2024 F150. Paperwork was a breeze. We had a great experience!
