Hi, Seventeen days ago, I wrote a review on Yelp and

Hi, Seventeen days ago, I wrote a review on Yelp and filed a complaint with the BBB regarding my situation. Following my reviews, VP Yvonne and Brianna contacted me and attempted to assist. I'm grateful to Yvonne, as it's likely that without my review, I wouldn't have received any help. However, I purchased my car on a specific date, and immediately the next day, and multiple times the following week, I had to visit the dealership. I've already been there five times because new defects keep appearing with the car. This time, they took my car and provided a loaner after Yvonne intervened with the Customer Service department—something that hadn’t happened before. Despite this, no one had the courtesy to update me on my car's status for an entire week. I had to repeatedly call them to get any information. When I finally got through, they couldn't even explain the problem but claimed the car was fixed. One of my visits involved the engine light turning on, and they incorrectly told me it was a battery issue. This convinced me that they didn’t know what they were doing, as a battery issue would trigger the battery light, not the engine light. I’m paying $650 per month for a VW Taos, yet I have no peace of mind. If I hadn't been persistent, who knows when I would have gotten my car back. I requested a new car, considering the numerous defects, but the Assistant General Manager had the audacity to suggest running my credit again and requiring a down payment. Let's see if another issue arises with this car and how long it will take to address it. I hope this time they have truly fixed it. To all prospective customers, think twice before buying from here. The staff is rude and incompetent—they only care about your money and their commission, leaving you to fend for yourself afterward. I will continue to update everyone on my situation and post pictures of my previous reviews to reveal the truth about this dealership. I will share my experience on BBB, FTC, auto consumer advocacy groups, Lemons to Lemonade, Google, and Yelp reviews so that no one else has to go through what I did.

Bait and switched.

Bait and switched. I called before coming and spoke with the internet salesman who confirmed the car listed on cars.com was available. We made an appointment and I called again just before coming but when I showed up the salesman waiting at the door told me I’m supposed to work with him. He brought me to the internet salesman to confirm that and then told me they were looking for the car but they have numerous cars to choose from. This was right away without even trying to find the car. I said don’t bait and switch me, I came to buy THIS car! Sure enough the manager told me that car was no longer available and tried to sell me a different one for $2000 more dollars. That’s a substantial increase on a $15k car! Wasted my day for nothing. I should have paid attention to the 2 star rating.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Palmetto Volkswagen dealership in Miami. My car broke down this morning after being in their possession for a month. Despite informing them about a faulty starter covered under warranty, it was not addressed, that will eventually lead to further issues and money out of my pocket despite the warranty. The lack of effort in detecting potential problems the FIRST TIME, such as damage to the ABS module due to extreme heat, is concerning considering I broght the car in for overheating and it was returned to me with even worse overheating issue. Subsequent diagnostics at another shop revealed additional issues that were not communicated to me (keep in mind this was the same day my car was given back after being there for the second time for another month) This lack of attention to detail and communication is unacceptable. Efforts to contact the warranty company were met with little difficulty by me, but was supposably unresponsive when speaking to the dealer which obviously was misleading, highlighting the dealership's lack of effort in resolving the issues with my vehicle. It is evident that my car was not properly serviced, and I regret trusting Palmetto Volkswagen with its care. I will not be returning to this dealership for any future maintenance or repairs. Clients should be treated fairly and with care regardless of the workload, and the service I received fell short of these expectations. I was helped by Elaine Montes. If you are looking for good communication and frequent updates on your vehicle I don’t recommend her or this dealer at all. I’ve had my car for two months. I’ve only been Able to drive Five times, this is heartbreaking

VW BEETLE

Dishonest, thief.....? Today I went, as on other occasions, to the technical service of this dealer.  I delivered my wife's car with an indicator on the "Display" related to the coolant system.  After delivering it to the maintenance section, they called me and told me that the coolant tank sensor was defective, they told me the cost of the repair, I accepted it and when they called me again I went to pick it up and observed that the indicator was still on.  I told the person who received the car, he took it back to the workshop and in less than 5 minutes he handed me the car and told me to be careful because if I touched a button I could turn "that" indicator back on. Later I read the user manual in detail and I could see that the indicator for which they charged me a "damage" is only "informative". In the user manual they say that the malfunction is shown in the fuel gauge. Dishonest or they don't know their job?

The "Palmetto57 Price" is not the price.

Jack K. Miami, FL 04 12/13/2022 The price of the car (2023 Taos SE) listed online did not match the price at the dealership. Their website quoted a "Palmetto57 Price" and "Cash Option" price for that vehicle of $30,838. Fine, no problem. Upon arrival at Palmetto57, the "Palmetto57 Price" presented to me was much higher. In my case, for a 2023 Taos SE it was exactly $4,000 higher. Surprise! Also at their website is a "value your vehicle" option (powered by KBB) which I used to get a price range. At the Palmetto57 dealership, their offer on my trade-in was thousands lower than the bottom of the price range they quoted online on my trade-in. The facility is clean, well maintained, and pleasant.

Jack, we apologize that you felt you did not have the best experience at our dealership, however, your statements in this review are not correct. On November 20th, we actually sold you your vehicle at $1,000 dollars UNDER MSRP. We would love to speak to you again and show you the breakdown of the price. Our dealership strives for transparency and we never try to trick our customers. If you are willing to discuss this further, please feel free to give me a call. Thank you, Yancarlos Garcia - General Sales Manager - (305) 474-4070

Avoid Yancarlo Garcia

Normally I don't waste my time writing reviews, but I feel I had to with this one. I am only giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. If you can please avoid this dealership specially because of general sales manager Yancarlo Garcia, the nastiest sales person I have ever had to deal. He basically threw me out of the dealership just because I did not agree with the numbers he gave me, he just turned his back on me and walked away before I could say anything, I am sure if it was a man standing in front of him he would not have acted that way. Not only that, I called before hand to see if they had the car I wanted, so that I wouldn't drive from Homestead to Hialeah for no reason, I am a nurse and I had worked the nightshift the day before and I did not want to make that drive for no reason, but when I got there they said they had just sold that car and the system had not been updated. I do have to say the other sales staff like Fermin and Luis were nice and helpful, however just because of Yancarlo Garcia I will never do business with this dealership as long as he is part of the staff.

Jennifer, I would like to sincerely apologize for this experience. This is not the kind of feedback we are accustomed to and it is concerning that our team didn't deliver the friendly, communicative service we pride ourselves on. Your time is important to us and I will share your comments with our staff so we can improve for our future guests. In the meantime, if there is anything we can do to make things right for you, please contact Yvonne Samper, Review Channel Admin, at (305) 474-4045. Thank you.
