AWESOME EXPERIENCE

NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS BEFORE @ A DEALERSHIP. WE USUALLY BE HOURS AT A DEALERSHIP. AFTER THE TEST DRIVE. TRANSACTION TOOK LESS THAN HOUR FROM BEGINNING TO DRIVING OFF WITH THE TRUCK. TIFFANY WAS WONDERFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. WILL BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

My truck broke down and now I'm stranded

I went to Oldham Motor Company for my first truck, and I was guaranteed that the vehicle had been looked over thoroughly by their mechanics. The check engine light came on after buying my new diesel truck. The salesperson said it would go away and didn't seem too concerned about what could have caused this issue since I'm not an expert in these types of trucks anyways, so she told me just to bring her and they would look it over. Reset the codes, and I’m on my way. A month later (with two rear tires replaced already) plus another oil change where they found blacker than expected just driving around town...I’m beginning to think maybe there's more going wrong than just "some code" needing resetting?? In my second month of driving this truck, I had a complete brake failure on my front two wheels. If it weren't for the trailer brakes, that would have meant losing a life! I spent over $3500 in repairs -- alone from getting tires fixed. At the start of the third month, I brought my truck to the Ford dealership, and they told me that I needed to replace the entire fuel system totaling $20,000. I reached out to the dealership, and they didn’t take any responsibility or knowledge of the repairs that should have been done before I got the truck. They stated that I had the best warranty you could buy; after reaching out to them, they only covered $5,000, so now I am stuck with a truck that I have had less than four months and still making payments on the car, and they were not willing to help with the cost at all. I do not recommend anyone purchase a truck from this dealership. They are amiable people at first, but they are just like the rest of the small dealerships. They will sell you a lemon and then act like it’s not their fault!

Dealer response

Hey Mr Branch I do apologize that you feel this way about us. Let me start by reminding you, we had to lower the price of the truck $5,000 to get the financing worked out for you.. When we did this, you knew you were buying it AS-IS.. Which is the case with any used car in NC. However, we did fix a few things you wanted fixed on the truck before you bought it. I did offer you to take the truck to my diesel mechanic, and you did not want to do that, you wanted a Ford dealer to look at it. Which everyone knows, the manufacturer is 3/4 X more expensive due to putting new parts back on the truck even though it is 5 years old, and has over 150,000 miles at the time of purchase(5 months ago). Our mechanic would have been below the $5,000 payout of the warranty, so the truck would have ben fixed. I know it is frustrating to buy a used vehicle, and to have issues with it. However buying a $30,000 truck that sold new for $90,000, and buying the warranty makes good financial sense to alot of people. Using the truck as a 'HOT SHOT' transport truck does put a strain on a truck, and puts you in a bind, work wise, so again, we apologize. Feel free to reach out to us. Thanks Tiffany

treated like i dont matter

they are still advertising a vehicle with a clean dash picture, but when i drove 3 hours to look at it a week and a half ago it had all kinds of service lights on. i was told it wasn't ready for sale yet and it has to go to the garage. a week and a half later i call for an update. i was first told it was sold, then i was told it was being marked as sold because its to expensive to repair and they were going to sell as is. i asked what the garage had told them. i was then placed on hold and after a few minutes they hung up on me to never call me back. after many attempts to get some answers to perches this vehicle or another vehicle i am interested in, i am now under the impression they simply don't care to make a sell.

Great Customer Service

Drove 8.5 hours from Florida to buy a used truck. Was able to go through the entire negation process over the phone to the point it was just sign the paperwork and out the door on arrival. Steve knows what he’s doing, very professional and a pleasure to work with. Very formal, quaint business. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great deal on any used trucks.

Oldham Motor Company at Zebulon, NC

I bought a used Nissan Juke a few days ago from the Oldham Motor Company in Zebulon, NC, and every worker there was very respectful and helpful. They helped me through the entire process and also gave me an option for having warranty for my car. They have many great vehicles on the lot and they are all in top condition. I highly recommend this dealership with anything from trading in to buying a new vehicle.
