This dealership is committing tax fraud using the EV

This dealership is committing tax fraud using the EV credits and “premium addons” I was very clear on the phone and wasted 4 hours driving to this bait and switch dealership. One of the “addons” that was “already on the car” was for a warranty product. They printed a quote at 7:04pm which had CarShield for $999 and then after discounting the car by $1500 the CarShield was miraculously $2,495. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION. SCAMMERS THROUGH AND THROUGH.

Jim McKay Chevrolet is everything wrong with shady

Jim McKay Chevrolet is everything wrong with shady service departments. I brought in my 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel for what they claimed was a “completely full” DPF filter that “couldn’t be cleaned.” Instead of offering a proper cleaning or accurate diagnostics, they tried to charge me $2,500 for a replacement or conveniently offered me $2,500 to trade in my car, which only has 90,000 miles on it. The audacity is wild. Here’s the kicker: I fixed it myself. I did the regen, cleared the codes, and now the car runs smooth no limp mode, no DPF issues, no problems. So either they flat-out lied, or they were completely clueless. Either way, they charged me for a diagnostic and did nothing of value. This place is a textbook scam. They prey on people who don’t know their way around a diesel, and then try to flip your car for pennies and profit off your stress. If you value your money or your vehicle, do not go here not even for an oil change. Total disgrace.

Don’t do business with Jim McKay Chevrolet for 3

Don’t do business with Jim McKay Chevrolet for 3 reasons 1 - Listed used car price is a fake. They wont sell you a car until after they add $1,000 dealer markup and add extra dealer added unnecessary items. In my case they added almost $3,000 with LoJack / Clear Coat / Fabric protection and started the negotiation $4,000 higher than advertised 2 - They claimed that the car was cleaned including the air filter. Total lie. I pulled the cabin air filter and it was filthy 3 - I was only given one key and when the sales manager was notified that this was a safety and security issue with a minor driving the car, she offered only a nominal rebate which wasn’t enough to de-program the missing key. I gave the entire team the chance to deliver 5 star performance and they underperformed with the shady adders I didn’t want, the cabin air filter that wasn’t replaced and a missing key they refused to replace or deprogram. Disappointing first car buying experience for my son. Shame on you Jim McKay.

I don't like to review something if I didn't have a great

I don't like to review something if I didn't have a great experience because I know I am just one person. After receiving a few pokes from your dealership to leave review, however, I finally did. I will share with you what I wrote for the Google review. First visit and frustrated - I have a certified, pre-owned GMC and after 2k miles, my brakes started to squeal, when driving in traffic. I made an appointment and was told this would be covered under the warranty. I then requested to have the heating airflow and a hanging cable checked while they had my car. When I dropped my car off the night before the schedule service date, I was asked what services I needed again - slightly annoying but not a deal breaker. The next day I received a call (at the end of the day) saying all their techs were at some training but they would take a look at my heating air flow the next day. This was frustrating for two reasons; I wasn't informed they wouldn't be looking at my car on the day I scheduled service and there was no mention of brakes at all, which was the primary issue. When I inquired about the brakes, I was again asked what the issue was. The next day I was told that my car was taken for a test drive and that squealing brakes in traffic is normal and my brakes are fine. When I expressed that it should not be considered normal and that I had concerns for the rotors, I was then told I could pay for the service to be done and that it would not be covered. When I picked up my car, my receipt showed that the odometer in and out was 2 miles. My actual odometer did not show a 2mile trip. Trust is huge when it comes to service and I am not feeling it.
