Ripped off on estimate
I have used this dealer for at least 10 years but their customer service and repairs have gone down hill. I went in for an oil change on my 2008 Elantra. They called to say the oil change was done but I need an entire overhaul on the brakes which would cost $1500. I said no way, because the brakes were working fine and there was a squeal when starting out but not while stopping.I took the car to an auto repair shop recommended by a friend. He found that the parking brake had seized and dragging caused the squeal. He said I did not need any serious repair,he disassemble park brake,freed seized lever and adjuster,gave a lube and reassembled. Total cost about 125.00. Who is running this service department?

Went to Huntington Hyundai to look for a new car. First of all, the parking there is awful. I walked into the dealership and was given William Walsh as my salesman. He was so unpleasant. When I asked about the differences in models, he sneered and was incredibly condescending. I asked to see the differences between packages which he said he didn't have - I found a book of exactly this about five minutes later on my own sitting right in the center of the showroom. He seemed annoyed by every question I asked. During price negotiations he raised his voice!! Incredibly unhelpful and he lost my business and the business of my friends.
my comments pertain to the service dept at Huntington Hyundai - I took my 2013 Elantra in Dec 2015 to install a remote starter and they charged me about $400. I subsequently took it in 5 times over the course of the year because the starter would not work after a couple of days/weeks. By Dec 2016 they could not fix it and they removed it and refunded my money. But, they left me with no clickers to open/close the car and when I asked the service managerJohn Byers if I could speak to the general manager or the owner his response was: "absolutely NOT, I am the manager". Also, note when they installed the remote starter the car stopped beeping when opening/closing the door. They told me that was normal as I did not have an alarm in the car. In January 2017 I took the car to Advantage Hyundai in Hicksville and they installed a new remote starter. It works great AND the car beeps when opening/closing the doors. I have written and spoke to Hyundai USA about the incompetence and abnoxioousness of the dealership especially the service manager. I would recommend that you stay away using them for any repairs.
Best Hyundai dealer I have ever been to. I needed the clutch fixed in my 13 elantra coupe. Even though the car had more than 12000 miles, they still got my repair done under warranty, and now it drives better than the day I bought it. Artie was fantastic to work with as was Scott, not to mention the mechanic Nick knows his stuff. I will only be taking my Hyundais to Huntington for nick to work on. Huntington Hyundai has a customer for life!
Never Use This Dealer
This was one of the worse experiences from buying a used car that was represented as a clean car that we then find out had an accident on the lot to the most horrible service department I have even experienced.
