Purchasing a vehicle from Auto City STL was a great experience. From the moment I saw the car in the ad, to the moment I was handed the keys, the experience was top notch. No hassles and very responsive through the whole process.

Great experience
Great experience in all regards. We traveled 250 miles to purchase the car and were able to work out all details in advance. Greg was extremely accommodating and the 911 was in excellent condition and exactly as he described. Nice selection of vehicles of all types, with honest , fast and friendly service.

Excellent service and nice vehicles on the lot.
Worked with Greg. Laid back easy transaction yet very professional. Car was exactly as described. Vehicle was cleaned (again), gassed up, temp tags were attached and paperwork ready to sign upon our arrival. Greg does his job very well. The wife is happy so I did my part.

Small lot, large car variety, MEH cust. service
Purchased under a wk ago. GREAT(1)wide range of vehicles(2)thus far I really love my car(3) no haggling(4) 3 month 3kmile extended warranty(5)Already pre- financed before car shopping, so the purchase process was quick & easy(6)the salesman we worked with, Kirk, was pleasant throughout our transactions and Craig was great to chat with GOOD(1)reasonable pricing AVERAGE (1) so so trade-in pay(went up a few dollars when asked)(2)overall customer service. NOT SO GOOD (1)had to look past a not squeaky clean interior(rusty nail in console included)in order to appreciate the vehicle (car lots usually have their cars clean, even the junkers); Kirk did personally wash and vacuum the vehicle before we drove home at least(2)When I went back in to purchase the vehicle Kirk would not fill up the tank, his answer was more or less that as a small lot, they couldn't afford it..sure,but ok since I'd made my decision & really liked the car(only a little over 1/4 tank when I purchased); had to return for inspection and minor repairs, I again asked about a courtesy fill up; at first I got the same answer, but after mentioning feeling undervalued, Kirk did agree to top it off which maybe was $10,since I'd filled it after purchase; was a principle thing for me; I'd just paid over $17k for a car; him paying $40 tank of gas in the beginning is nothing; also, he told me the car would be detailed before I picked it back up, it wasn't; he said it'd just gotten back to the lot and he didn't have a chance to have it done;what he didnt know is I have the app & saw when it went & to the repair shop & returned. We dropped off @ 9am, went to shop approx 12made it back to the lot right after I called to inquire about the progress approx 5:15pm;there was time before it went for repair & I'm wondering how long it actually was worked on BAD(1) I asked questions about the vehicle that could not be answered, they are trying to sell cars; I assumed that they'd research and know about the cars before selling them; on the other hand, excepting a couple of verbalized(incorrect) assumptions, at least they didn't outright lie about not knowing some of the answers (though one answer clearly was made up for to get me off the lot(if you read this, salesman, there is a cover over the input jack, no it's not something broken inside of it, just doesn't work)(2) During our visit to test drive the vehicle, the owner did ask if we'd been helped, but the remainder of the visit, not a word, nor did he really acknowledge us much when we went back for purchase. It's a small lot and someone came back to purchase one of your vehicles, at least, say hello, thanks for coming, or for buying one of our cars”. I did observe him having a nice drink (Brandy, Scotch?) with another set of folks, but I literally had to say hi to him as he walked by several times in order for him to speak (3) don't yet have the title which I'm really not happy about; Kirk said something along the lines of the bank keeping them for security reasons and it could take up to 10 days (??)never heard of that & could be wrong but suspect that since I already had pre-financed through my CU which although well known, is not one they work with, he really wanted to ensure the $$ order was legit. The experience was ok, but I guess I'm accustomed to a little more, "you’re a valued customer", experience.. Oh, can I please get a bottle of water (again chalked up to it being a small lot & offered tap, no it's Covid time)?? I hope that title comes soon because I don't like driving on temp tags & I really technically don't own it yet...guess I should've put a deposit down and waited until everything was ready to go. Not the worst experience by far, but I've bought several cars through the years and this is the first time I've come away with a "meh" feeling about the experience

Good Experience
Auto City STL is a small dealership, but don't let that scare you away. They have a good selection of vehicles, and the best price-mileage combination I found after 2 weeks of research. The entire process from test-driving to negotiating a price to getting a loan went very smoothly. I also like the more low-key sales approach they take where at a larger dealership I always feel pressured to buy something now. I highly recommend taking a look at Auto City when you are in the market for a used car.
