Saw the Veloster posted for sale, it didn’t even have a picture up.. Contacted them through multiple channels and talked to them in detail and interest. I was told it wouldn’t be ready for a few days and I said keep me posted I am very interested.. Never a reply and was sold.. Not the best business practice, but expect it with dealers..

Worst treatment by a dealership EVER.
Worst treatment by a dealership EVER. I went to the dealership to look at a 2014 Subaru outback. Liked the car, but the original sales person that I was working with was not available yesterday. I informed the sales person that did help me look at the car, that I would be back today at my scheduled appointment (1230) to complete the paperwork and complete the purchase of the vehicle. When I arrived 30 minutes early, I was told the car had been sold to another individual. I could have been there at opening but waited for my appointment, I’m old school, believe in loyalty. No heads up, no courtesy call (he had my personal number in his phone). the sales person that assisted me yesterday acted like he did not know I was returning today(as I said, my number was on his phone). What a croc…… where is the customer service. This would not have been the first vehicle I or my family have purchased from Checkered Flag, May not return

I went to the dealership twice to see a Toyoda truck
I went to the dealership twice to see a Toyoda truck twice and they could not produce it, but yet they still are advertise it as being available.. I was told it was in their shop - 6 days. Their follow up is lacking. I never got the chance to see or test drive the truck - sad.

Horrible Lack of Integrity
I stopped by to look at a vehicle that was advertised and spoke to Lucas. I explained that I had limited income and was hoping to get a loan, but due to a low credit score and being self-employed in addition to no proof of income, i was likely going to have to ask a family member to co-sign. He showed me a vehicle that was disgustingly gross inside and ridiculously over-priced in addition to being several thousand OVER what I said I could afford. Then he talked at length about my credit situation and attempted to start the inquiry before I explained myself in detail. He seemed very nice and I felt very comfortable talking to him. After taking my info and diddling on his computer for a few minutes he told me 'You know what, I'm not even gonna hit go on this because it would only hurt your credit score and I think you should get that person to help you out by co-signing and then come back and see me." I thanked him and left there knowing I would not return for a car, but was grateful because I thought he did me a solid. As it turned out, he DID in fact hit "go" and my credit score took a second hard hit in less than two days, working against me. I was disgusted to be taken advantage of and lied to in this way! It speaks volumes about his lack of integrity that in turn should tell anybody all they need to know about what kind of business they are running at Checkered Flag Outlet. SHADY. RUN!

Terrible car buying experience
I attempted to purchase a 13k car from sales man Michael. It was worst car buying experience I have had. It seemed I had to beg him to give me information on what I needed to do to purchase vehicle. I had been approved for 20k at another dealership , so I did not see that 13k would be I problem..I requested same finance company at gave good rate on 20k..He was very unaccomdating. I contacted manager to see actually what I needed to do to purchase vehicle..He stated he would call back in 5 minutes. He did not return call. I wanted to purchase car because it was a good deal, but definitely not worth the hassel.

Jeep dealership
While I’ve always loved Checkered Flag Auto, my experience with the new Jeep dealership was awful! The claim (on their site) says trade ins are based on Kelly Blue Book (of course condition of vehicle on inspection is taken into account). I used the link they provided for appraisal, it came back with $40,800 for trade in. Vehicle is almost two yrs old, 6,000 miles, mint condition. Found the new vehicle I wanted, they offered 10,000 less for my trade! So, website is incorrect.... they don’t use KBB for appraisals, rather to get customers confidence in them and get sent via KBB site to them. I left, got $38,500 from Southern and my new Gladiator was $4,000 less. PS.... the GM was rude at best! When I told him I planned on posting a review of my experience he said “We don’t care about all that”. Last I heard customer service was number one in all industries? Obviously not important to Mr. Lawson🤬

Best Experience
This was the best experience I have had while buying a vehicle ( 12 over 40 years). Lucas Giles made the process easy and stress free. While reviewing the vehicle (Tacoma) a number of issues of concern were raised and Lucas assured me that each would be addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. True to his word, the finished product exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier with the results. Kudos to Lucas and the various service departments that made this happen.Checkered Flag rates high marks because of people like Mr. Giles and all the conscientious service techs that contributed. Thanks.

12 month/12000 mile warranty
The advertised 12 month/12,000 mile is mostly a scam. Bought a beautiful VW Tiguan from these guys and it almost immediately started having engine problems. The first round of repairs involving leaking oil were not covered by the elusive warranty which is through a 3rd party who sends out a contracted other 3rd party to determine eligibility. Manager Randy Turk after calls and email decided to take responsibility for the repair. Get the car back after fighting a couple weeks to get repair covered. One day later engine light comes on and can barely get it to service location. Guess what everyone determines? The newly discovered problem, 2 bad ignition coils, of course aren't under warranty! And they miraculously went bad one day after it left their shop! AO Manager Randy Turk REFUSED to repair and will not reply to emails regarding this continued comedy of errors with a vehicle. Run from these guys and don't have faith in the 12/12 warranty!
