I saw the Chevrolet Suburban online and decided to visit

I saw the Chevrolet Suburban online and decided to visit the dealership on a Friday evening. My wife and I were met in the parking lot by a junior sales rep (based on his inability to answer basic questions and having to defer to the manager and others). My wife and I took the vehicle for a test drive and it drove good. We returned to the dealership and the sales rep invited us inside to discuss figures. He introduced us to the GM "Ron". I completed some paperwork and they did the credit check (my credit score is an excellent rating). Once pulled, Ron made a joke that my rate would be a high rate (can't remember the exact rate) and he could tell the joke didn't go over very well by the look on my face. I seriously said to my wife, we can leave then. He said "no, I'm just kidding. Your credit score is very good". I said "I know that already". They put together the offer and presented it to us. We looked it over and discussed it and agreed to the terms. The finance manager began to process the paper work to deliver the vehicle. My wife and I sat there for about an hour and a half. Finally the finance manager calls us to his office to sign the paperwork. There were a list of things they needed to do the vehicle (clean/polish rims and fix the wind guard at the bottom front of the truck) and it was too late in the night so we agreed to return on Monday morning. We go back on Monday morning and we're told that the rate that was quoted on the car loan was incorrect and it should have been about .5% higher. Of course I'm disappointed and the owner of the dealership said, if we can't accept the terms of the new rate, we can leave the vehicle. My wife had grown to really like the truck, so we accepted the new terms and in turn they offered free oil changes. We once they mechanics returned to truck after addressing the needed repairs, they returned the truck and the GM (Ron) said they weren't able to polish out the defects in the rims and I found out they glued the bottom of the wind guard - that's right "glued". Of course they could have purchased the pin and repaired it correctly. I have a very close friend that works at a local news channel and does consumer investigative reporting. She and I talked and she was ready to jump ALL over this dealership as they did a story some time ago about these scam used car dealers on Crain Hwy in Waldorf (wish I had known this in advance). I should they text to Ron and all of a sudden, everything that I needed was done expeditiously. I stopped dealing with them and would NEVER refer anyone to them. They are brazing liars and scammers. Avoid them at all costs. You'll be thankful you did.

Beware of this dealership.

Beware of this dealership. They scam you with the prices. For us the base price of the car we bought from them last month was 17k and they tricked us into signing papers for 21k base price. They didn’t even do the title transfer paperwork and now MVA is asking us for $1500 for tax and title. Do not waste your time and money by going to this dealer. They will rob you blind.

Worst experience I have ever had a car dealer.

Worst experience I have ever had a car dealer. I was looking for a very specific vehicle and they happened to have it. I read the reviews of the dealer etc and figured they seemed decent enough for a quick purchase. I contacted them and everyone was friendly so I drove the hour to their lot. I arrived on the lot to find many late model really nice vehicles that appear to be in great shape. I then inspected and test drove the vehicle I planned to purchase. Everything checked out so we began the negotiation. First they tried to include an absurd dealer document fee which I refused to pay so the negotiation took longer than expected. During this time, hours had passed at this point and no water was offered. I asked for water and was pointed to the vending machine. Great, the deal is done. It was a cash purchase so I went to the bank to get the cashiers check. The entire time the car had been sitting and not cleaned. So now I was forced to wait around while the car is cleaned. They bring the car back and no one ever put tags on it, so again I had to wait. Finally I drive off. Not the best experience but at the time, I figured it could have been worse. Despite asking about a 2nd key and the time of purchase and not being provided one, the next morning (Friday) I get a call that a second key was found and that I can come get it. The next day (Saturday), I get in the car to reluctantly drive an hour to pickup the key and the check engine light is on. So when I arrive I tell them that I have had the car for barely a day and the check engine light is on. The GM, Alex, asks if I can bring the car back to have his service dept look at it on Monday as they left at noon. I moved my schedule around and went back on Monday (another hour each way). I get there and there is no urgency to help me. I approach Alex and he looks dumbfounded as to why I am there despite him asking me to come on Monday at 1pm. I sit there for HOURS just for him to come back with a sheet to tell me that there is an issue but they can’t repair it because I purchased the car as is. Now I look at him dumbfounded because I know what an As Is purchase is, however, I had the car less than 2 days before the CHECK ENGINE light came on. Meaning that it was likely on and they turned it off knowing that it would come back on after the purchase was made. This is also despite them claiming that the car was “certified-preowned” and underwent a rigorous inspection prior to sell. Which was a lie because the car had never been as much as cleaned after it arrived on their lot and prior to the sell. But it gets better. I ask him if he’s telling me that they aren’t going to stand by their product that I just purchased from them for over $20,000 and he just stared at me and repeated that the car was purchased as is. And that he hasn’t done anything wrong since the car can pass emissions in MD with the check engine light on. Even though he fully knows I live in DC and can’t pass emissions with the check engine light on, this can’t obtain proper registration or plates until it’s repaired. So I asked him for a cost breakdown of the repair and he says “we will work with you and take off some labor.” Then he returns with a quote for $2450!! I tell him thank you and leave. I obtain a repair quote from my mechanic for $2800 and scheduled the repair. I do not trust anyone at this company and would NEVER do business with them again. I just purchased a $20K vehicle cash, it was never about the cost of the repair, but the principle. They are lying about their products and selling cars and are refusing to stand behind their products. Yes, I have the ability to pay for the car and the repair. But I am sure that I am the exception for their customer base. What they have done is morally wrong. As an officer of court, I just cant ignore it. I have filed consumer complaints with the BBB and Maryland’s MVA and OAG offices.

FRAUD is what comes to mind at this dealership... DO NOT BUY FROM NATIONAL AUTO OF WALDORF!!!! They knew the car they sold me had major quarter panel damage to the car and sold it as clean 1 owner and no accidents... repairs are $5,000+ Take your hard earned money elsewhere to purchase a car because this place operates a shady business.

Tyja was outstanding!

Tyja was outstanding! He hooked us up! Walked out with a smile and feeling great. He was very professional and courteous. Took his time, let me know everything needed and once we arrived had our Challenger gassed up, cleaned and ready to go! I plan on going back to trade in my older vehicle, he will definitely be my guy! 10 out of 10! And the manager who worked my numbers, can’t remember his name brown skin with the bald head, excellent! Go check them out!

Misleading advertising leeds to dishonest business practices. $500? What other deceptive or misleading information has to be uncovered? Wrong way to start an armslength transaction.
