I recently purchased a Forester at one of their competitors. Was going to buy a body side molding kit for $280 with free install there, but figured I get it at Byer's as they are closer. Byer's wanted same price for part, but $175 to install. Went back to other dealership and was told they were going by price Subaru had listed for everything. Also, had a 2011 Forester bought at Byer's Airport and they left oil cap off after oil change. Did damage. Approach with caution.

Worst experience attempting to purchase a car EVER!
Worst experience attempting to purchase a car EVER! We had started looking at a outback here at the beginning of last week due to being t-boned and our car being totaled out from under us meaning a new car payment and a lot of stress as my wife and I are a teacher and a mental health counselor and spend our days helping others. All we wanted was to be treated with kindness and respect. We found a car here and started talking to the salesmen about options and any room for negotiation on the sale price. He went to the manager and came back with the following statement (note this is important as it is proves that the manager is lying later on) "My manager says, the car has been on the lot for over 60 days and we don't have any room to move the price after that time" After finalized financing with our bank, which made up for the lack of movement from Buyers, and we called in at 9:18am to request a purchase order for a car we had decided on. I was asked if I wanted the dealership to attempt to counter offer on the financing and to wait a few minutes for them to do so. AN HOUR LATER I called back to be told someone was in the store looking at the car and that they might sell it to them, but to wait 15 to 20 minutes for them to let me know what was going on. I mean if their really was a couple was looking at the car when I called in at 9:18 why didn't I get told that then? Why did I have to call back to get told someone was looking at the car an HOUR after I had called in that morning? I waited another HALF HOUR and attempted to call back, now frustrated in the amount of time this was taking and the weirdness of feeling manipulated. I called in and was hung up on or put to voicemail for the next 15 minutes. At this point I called the parts department as they actually bothered answering without immediately hanging up and asked to be transferred to the manager of the sales department. I left a voicemail asking for a call back due to the odd circumstances and after another 10 or so minutes called in again and got a different sales staff member and asked what was going on. She checked and told me the first salesmen I had talked to that morning was going to call me back. When the fist salesmen called me back he told me he had back news and that the car had been sold. I was incredibly upset and let me wife know what had happened. She told me there was another almost identical model at the store that had just posted for sale that morning and it had more miles and a year newer, but was one thousand dollars more. At this point the manager called me back and was aggressive from the beginning of the call. I explained what had happened and expressed how it appeared our interest in the car had been used to sell it to someone else, but that I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if they would work with me on the 2nd model we found and just matched the price so we could use the bank financing we had lined up? Heres where the lying for sure starts as he rudely dismisses my concerns or how the events had gone down, blows off caring about what happened, ACCUSES ME of "waiting to long", and then when asked to simply help us out with the 2nd car says, "the car just got here and I don't have the ability to move the price as I KNOW what the car is worth!" He was basically yelling at this point even though I was the one being screwed over. And then without attempting to correct the problem, make a sale by counter-offering or doing HIS JOB hung up on me. At no point in this entire process did I yell, curse, or treat anyone poorly. While this manager yelled, demeaned, and lied to someone who takes care of other people for a living. Buyers and Subaru should be ashamed they allow someone to work for them that treats other people like this!

I have been coming to this dealership for service on my
I have been coming to this dealership for service on my 2016 Outback for the last 6 yrs. I mainly work with Thomas McLaymont In the service area and HE is the best!! Matt too! They are so personable , knowledgeable, super caring about you, your safety, the issue with the car and how timely they can get it fixed in your schedule. Thomas ALWAYS takes and makes the time to one on one Actively listen and be the resolve to the cars problem. He almost always finds a coupon for me on any work over $200 if my wild card coupon has expired. Who else and where else would do this??? Once car is fixed, I get a complete thorough explanation of what was wrong, parts needed to fix it, and how it’s running great again. Thomas (They) easily earned my Trust which had to be earned in their words = deeds , hand shake and car fixed right. I’m a gal, and have always been respected, treated well and taken seriously about my cars problem when I arrive in service area and talk with Thomas or Matt. They and the service I a receive are second to none ! Lori Hutchison
