VPE!

VPE! Very Pathetic Experience. We live in PA, over 200 miles away. Requested info on a specific used vehicle that for some reason, they didn't post any actual photos, just a "stock" manufacturer's photo of a new vehicle of the same type like you'd see in a new vehicle brochure. We specifically requested they email just a few photos that we could consider. Instead, we get numerous emails & texts asking how they can help us, when they could schedule us for a test drive, etc. Everything but a few photos. A day or two later, a text from another salesperson telling us the vehicle was sold. Days later, a salesperson emailing asking when we wanted to come and see it. Too much salesperson competition, and too much time wasting garbage surrounding getting a straight answer, if photos were available. Definitely would not recommend wasting your time on this dealership's internet info, unless you live in their vicinity.

Satisfied customer

I found a used Rav 4 online that I was very interested in taking a look at. I asked if they still had it, yes but then called me back later to say it couldn't be officially located. Within the hr I received another call it was found! I was able to check it out and purchased it. Cheryl was great. The only negative I have to say is the lengthy wait to talk with credit mgr & review of extended protection plans. So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great car buying experience

Volkswagen or Old Saybrook was the best buying experience I have ever had. They work with you and are on your side and want you in the car you want. No haggles. We worked with Laurie and Bob and they were wonderful.

My heterosexual life partner had gone to the dealership...

My heterosexual life partner had gone to the dealership over the weekend and test drove a 2019 white Jetta R-Line. She was very happy with the car and decided she wanted to go back and take a look together and make an offer. She called ahead, letting her salesperson Tim know when we would arrive to look at the white Jetta R-Line that she looked at this weekend. I get out of the car, and Tim is approaching and starts telling me to get a copy of the registration. Not sure who Tim thinks I work for, but I can assure him it isn't Tim or Valenti. Tim spends some time looking over our trade. He tells us he is going to pull the car we are looking at around, but after a pretty long period of time, a 2021 Black Jetta R-Line. Obviously we immediately questioned this switch, and we were told the White car had been 'traded to Mystic'. Huh? You knew we were coming and what we were coming for. We offered to purchase the newer vehicle for the same price as the car we looked at, but Tim didn't seem to be too entertained by that. I thought it was fair after the weird and shady story we got. He disappears for a while, without an explanation. We almost left because we had no idea if he was coming back or not. But we had to stay because he was holding our trade in car's registration hostage inside. When he does come back, it is with the original 2019 White Jetta?! I start looking at it and have to ask if they keep their cars in a cow pasture. Both cars had debris sticking out of them, and this white car is caked in mud and filth and the inside is filthy as well. More filthy on the inside than any car I have seen before. I start walking around the car inspecting the tires. Not expecting to find much with only 17k miles on it, but always good to check. I notice the tread on the rear tires is a lot less than the fronts. I notice melted rubber on the front fender. We notice that there is a newly caved in front fender with blue paint transfer, but the blue paint isn't also on the front wheel, it is on the rear wheel with no painted surface showing damage back there. We point this out with a healthy dose of "xxx?" to Tim, and he admits that wasn't there on Saturday, but is now there on Monday. So he is trying to sell a car that he knows got crashed in the last day or two, had the wheels and tires swapped after doing burnouts/donuts/whatever and thinking, I guess, that we wouldn't notice? There was also damage to the hood projecting up from the hood, where someone had left something under the hood and slammed the hood on it. There was also jack damage under the driver's side quarter panel where an idiot didn't know how to use a jack. Probably the same one that smashed the car up and tried to cover it up. So if shady business is your thing, I would highly recommend this dealership. Thanks for wasting our time. We won't be doing business there. For reference, the VIN was 3VWC57BU3KM015631 I guess they need to report that damage now. Ooops.

So thankful for this dealership

I have been coming to this dealership for years and they always treat me like family. This last week I was forced to stop in due to my check engine light coming on. Jeremy and Gary worked with the technician to get my vehicle right in and find out what was going on. A sensor I am told had gone bad, they replaced it and get me on the road again in under 2 hrs. Thank you to the entire staff, they are all so friendly and it is so nice to be able to pop in unannounced and be taken care of so quickly.

They always help me!!

I have been coming to this dealership for some time now, sometimes for scheduled visits, sometimes for surprise visits like this last week when my check engine light came on. Jeremy and Gary worked with the technician to get my vehicle right in to find out we had a sensor go bad. The sensor was replaced and I was on the road in under 2hrs. So thankful they are there.

Bad experience

Worked with Zach here And I purchased a used certified car here steering wheel controls don’t work visor keeps falling off the car shakes when you hit the brakes I tried talking to them the next day and they told me what do I expect it’s a used car. check all other reviews about this place I should of. Terrible customer service here I never seen anything like it. That 100 check list does not apply at this place they check everything without looking I should of listened to the the reviews on the other websites
