Stephen Lao is a great resource. My first Acura RDX purchased from him @ Acura Pleasanton. He is Very helpful and Keeps you informed about every little... things right from the time he is assigned to you and till the handover of the car. Whole process of researching, selecting, trading my old car, Financing, purchasing (we've done both), and final delivery at the dealership was an extremely efficient and very pleasant experience. Just recently purchased a 2010 Acura MDX from Acura of Pleasanton about a month ago. The customer service there was phenomenal. The sales guy Michael Scott... was awesome but not just him, everyone was very awesome and knowledgeable about the vehicles. They did not make me or my wife feel pressured at all into buying a car, they listened to all of our concerns, questions and more and made us feel that we not only could trust them but that they actually had our best interest in mind. There was a point where we were not going to buy and they said that's ok and just contact them later. We did about 2 days later and made the purchase. Purchase was easy and very fast. I love this dealership, definitely recommend them and we will definitely be using them from now on.

2014 Acura RLX, with advanced package, purchased 3/14 at Pleasanton Acura ??? On going electrical, entertainment system, fit and finish, suspension, electronics,... backup camera, accessory issues: ??? 13 visits to dealer on car issues ??? 18 days the car was at the dealers for repairs ??? 4 immediate returns to the dealer due to repairs incorrect or not complete ??? 4 sessions working with dealer service personnel to show them how to debug issues; DTS audio, USB file interface, battery cell failure, internal recirculating fan ??? 2 wheels bent due to road damage ??? 0 time I have had wheel damage due to road damage on other vehicles ??? 1 factory wheel cost covered cost for 4 new wheels and tires in aftermarket ??? >40 hours, amount of time spent dealing with car problems ??? 1 safety issue, video recorded, which Acura says they will not fix ??? 4 videos recorded to show problems to service personnel because their first response is customer did something wrong ??? 14 weeks to get request to Acura customer service denied ??? 12 times I tried contacting Acura customer service ??? 3 times Acura customer service contacted me ??? 1 time Acura customer service told dealer not to talk to me ??? 10 emails to dealership and Acura management ??? 0 responses to email ??? 1 commute car purchased as I am worried RLX cannot stand up to commute and warranty is almost over Engine, LED headlamps, Sound quality are fantastic. Car has low resale value as my experience does not appear to be unique. So I have to chalk this up to a very expensive lesson. While the car is disappointing the response of the dealership and Acura/Honda customer service was more disappointing. Acura buyer beware. Second time we are buying from this dealer. First time was great a few years ago, but this time around is horrible. Sales person was not helpful, contract... was re-done 3 times - finance person just couldn't get it right. Price was changed as well. Too many surprises!!!
This is one of the worse dealer I ever experienced. Just after he introduce himself, this guy (jim) start to keep asking me whether I would like to buy... a car "today" and just give me the MRSP price for that. I showed him the truecar price he told me it was nonsense and he can only give me something several (not even specify how many)hundred above invoice price. I told him that I could not make a decision today, he started to tell me "whatelse can I do for you except give you a price?" Later on I got a costco price at Autowest Acura dealer with 500 lower than invoice and with 2 years free service. --- at the first quote with them. Stay away from this dealer!
Scheduling for service is a waste of time. I scheduled for routine service 3 days ago. When I went there this morning, more than 10 cars where is front... of me to be signed in, yet only one man was processing them. Further, he was not friendly at all. I just left in frustration. We had service there in the past, but it was marginal at best. Reminded me of the military! I suggest going somewhere else for service. Note that not a single one of the other reviews for this dealership is positive as of the time of my writing.
I had the horrible experience of visiting this dealership for a friend of mine... I am a proud owner of Acura and believe in the brand very much and hence... was totally taken by surprise that something like this could come up at an Acura dealership! We made an appointment to test drive a 2008 model car and then dropped by the dealership to then wrap up the deal... When we reached the dealership for the appointment, the store had already been closed and the people at the store had NO clue of who set up the appointment and other details. We went thru the whole grind of churning all information one more time and luckily managed to get the car we wanted to test drive. Test drive went thru fine and then negotiated on the price and after a series of back and forth discussions, settled on a price and started with the paper work.... 45 minutes into the deal while we were under the impression that we are almost done, the manager drops by all of sudden and tells us that we CANNOT proceed with this deal because the price they quoted was actually NOT for the car that we drove... the price quote they had provided was for a 2006 model TL. At this point not only was i shocked to witness such a thing happen, i was also thrown off considering the attitude and guts of these guys working at pleasanton acura to do such a gruelling act on a customer after spending a good 2 hours working towards wrapping up a deal. At an age and time when businesses go the extra extra mile to win a customer, it took me quite some time to grasp the fact that i was here at a dealership that absolutely did not understand the importance or manner in which they should deal with a customer! Pros: Close to 580 highway No other Acura dealerships in pleasanton Cons: Absolutely NO Ethics in business practice Different employees will give u a different answer Information provided keeps changing every minute DO NOT stick to the commitments they make in the first place
