I’m a disabled veteran and longtime Chevrolet customer. Two weeks ago, my 2022 Silverado Trail Boss (6.2L, 56,000 miles) blew its engine while towing - on the freeway, in summer heat. The truck is under the 5-year/60k powertrain warranty, and the failure wasn’t from abuse or neglect. It simply failed. I had it towed to @DougSmithChevy in Spanish Fork, expecting service and support. Instead, I got: ❌ No loaner vehicle ❌ No rental assistance ❌ No timeline on repair ❌ A lowball trade offer before I’d even gotten an estimate I was stranded - with a trailer - and not one person at the dealership offered meaningful help. GM’s own warranty mentions “Courtesy Transportation,” but apparently that doesn’t apply when a disabled veteran actually needs it. As of now, I’m paying out-of-pocket for a rental while waiting on GM to find a new engine. No ETA. No accountability. Just corporate silence and dealership indifference. @Chevrolet @DougSmithChevy - this is your moment to fix it. Back your product. Back your warranty. Back your word. Approximately eighteen months ago, I acquired a Chevy Trax, emphasizing to the dealership my requirement for a dependable vehicle. They assured me of the car's reliability; however, soon after the purchase, I began experiencing frequent repair issues, culminating in the discovery that the engine is defective, as verified by two independent mechanics. The dealership boasts of conducting meticulous inspections to guarantee the quality of its vehicles. Notably, a friend who purchased a vehicle from the same dealership during the same period has encountered similar problems. Initially, I suspected an isolated incident, prompting me to investigate another vehicle at the dealership. Upon inspection by two mechanics, this vehicle was found to necessitate $500 to $1000 in repairs. Moreover, the dealership asserted that the vehicle had only one previous owner, despite evidence of ten liens and annual computer refurbishments. The dealership also provided conflicting statements regarding the rotors, initially stating they were refurbished and later claiming they were replaced.
