Buying a car … picking brand, model, color, packages … is

Buying a car … picking brand, model, color, packages … is stressful because there’s so much money involved in all the choices. Brunswick Toyota Auto Mart is our closest Toyota dealer. For our last two cars purchased from them, we have also been subjected to a shell game of final numbers. Two different Sales Mangers treated my wife and I with disrespect and insulted us throughout the process. In our most recent experience, we ordered and paid a deposit on a vehicle made in Japan. At delivery time, the dealer had substituted a similar vehicle made in Canada. $315 worth of accessories were substituted for those totaling $1,308 on the original order. Yet, the final sales price was the same on both orders. I requested a refund for the difference in the lower-cost Canadian vehicle. What ensued was an argument to maintain the unchanged final figure. At this point, Sales Manager Mike got angry, shouted at me and terminated discussion. Salesman Ron said he could refund part of the money on the credit card used for the deposit, but the rest would come in a mailed check. I requested the dealer to issue a check or cash before I left, because I could no longer trust the dealer. Instead, the salesman drove me to a bank to deposit the original cashiers check and issue a new one for the adjusted amount. The entire transaction took over three hours. I felt angry and demeaned by the attempt to give me less vehicle for my money. We will erase Brunswick Toyota from any further purchase or service on our vehicles.

Incompetent Parts Department

I called the Parts Department needing a screw for the mud flaps for my Toyota. The parts person I talked to told me I must purchase both mud flaps to get the screw. I called Metro Toyota and they sold me the screws. If the mechanics are as incompetent as the parts person I would NEVER bring my car there to be serviced.

Buildn

This is our second new vehicle in a year. Dave M. Really made the buying experience top notch! Last fall of 2016 we bought a Toyota Sienna AWD that my wife had her heart set on a gold one which with help from Cars.com I used to locate one out of state. Dave M. and Brunswick Auto got a hold of that van and worked a deal to get that van for us all in time for our road trip. This is why I just purchased a 2017 TRD 4x4 SR5 Tundra. Dave M. worked with me until I was happy with my Tundra. This is my third Tundra and my second from Brunswick Automart. I would recommend in sales Dave M. Best of luck in your purchase!

good to work with.

They worked with me and were easy to work with. They took my trade for 1/3 more than what they said at first to make the deal happen. They let me sign all the paperwork then have it checked by my mechanic, I could have brought it back if I wanted but I liked the van.
