Went in asking if they could do a quick diagnostic since
Went in asking if they could do a quick diagnostic since check engine light turned on - I thought the problem was a minor issue but they said no as they had "hundreds of cars" to deal with. i went to a nearby mechanic who in less than a minute confirmed it was a non issue. This dealer is the worst.

Twice have had an awful experience with Santa Monica
Twice have had an awful experience with Santa Monica Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge. 1- Came in for them to fix a door/window part and they never ordered requested in warranty part for repair. 2- Tried to setup emergency Service with this dealership as factory recall on brake pedal. which can lead to brake catastrophic brake problem. they did not want to have car in to be serviced there. made it clear they did not want to take the car in. Had to setup an appt at farther dealership. They stink.

A dealership ought not pick and choose what cars they work on. especially when it is an emergency recall on brake pedals. Only offering me a time to come in a month later to deter my service call. which i was able to get in next day at another farther away dealership

I had a service appointment at this dealership (which I also purchased my Jeep Wrangler from a few years ago) made a month in advance. My appointment was on Thursday, 28 March. I had my jeep there just two months earlier due to a loud fan noise. Turned out to be a coolant hose needing replacing and it was covered under warranty. During that visit, the Rep told me my brake pads were about to need replacing too. I had squeaky brakes for a while so I wanted to get that taken care of soon anyways. Just a few weeks before this most recent appointment to get my brake pads replaced, the loud fan noise returned but I had this appointment already set up so not too worried. I dropped my Jeep off on Thursday and get a call from the Rep a few hours later with the diagnosis for the fan noise and says that “yes, both front and rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced.” This time, the loud fan noise was due to the coolant reservoir leaking. Strange that they just worked on the coolant system only 2 months ago and now this piece of plastic will cost me over $900 to fix 🤔. Anyways, I was luckily prepared for a big spending day prepared to get all brake pads and rotors done. The Rep says if I authorize the work, they’ll have it done and my jeep will be ready by end of day tomorrow (Friday). I decided to leave town for the weekend and pick it up first thing Monday morning. So I walk in on Monday morning around 9am and it’s not done. He said it’ll be ready in an hour so I leave and he calls me about an hour later and says it’s finally ready. I Uber back over and when I arrive, he says “they’re finishing it up right now. But the tech recommends we don’t replace the rear brake pads because they can go a little bit more.” At this point Ive lost my patience because you said it was ready for pick up multiple times only to keep me waiting. AND the work I authorized to be done is only half done. I took my car back and as I start to drive away I can hear that I STILL have squeaky brakes. This place wasted 4 days of my time, lied to me and kept me waiting and coming and going in Uber rides, and I STILL have squeaky brakes!!! The whole thing is very suspect between the coolant system fixes and fixes and the delays for more time to hold onto my Jeep. All trust is broken. I suspect some real shady *** at this place.

I took my Grand Cherokee Jeep to Santa Monica Chrysler to
I took my Grand Cherokee Jeep to Santa Monica Chrysler to have them check, what I thought was my sluggish air conditioning, breaks, rear shocks, a few other things + an oil change. They called later and said the job would be a total of about $5000. Told them I needed a 2nd opinion paid an outrageous $265 for the diagnostic and $175 for the oil change. Although I felt totally ripped off, I honored my initial authorization and paid it. I then took my car to to an AAA approved, reputable mechanic who did the entire job for $1459, including a new diagnostic. I had assumed SM Chrysler Jeep was AAA certified but I found out after … they are not. I learned a sad $440 lesson.

DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY ARE NOT HONEST! BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I purchased a "certified pre owned" Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from them. As I drove out the lot, I noticed the alignment of the vehicle was completely off and the car was making very loud noises underneath. Additionally the battery was dead and a piece of the dash was broken. They told me when they sold me the vehicle that it underwent a 160 pt inspection, so I thought I was buying something safe for my kids to be driven around in. It turns out the vehicle suspension was completely damaged and had to be replaced. The axle was cracked! How did this car go through an inspection? That's nonsense. The car ended up being in the shop for 21 days right after I bought what I believed was a safe car in working condition. I paid for a vehicle that was inspected and safe. However, that's not what I got. There needs to be some responsibility on their part. They cant sell vehicles like this to people and get away with it. I paid a premium to buy the car from them. I could have paid a fraction of that and bought it from a private party instead. What is the point of buying a car from a dealership if they are going to sell you trash? They are not honest, they never tried to make it right, I couldnt even get the manager on the phone. Not a single apology from anyone! There are so many other Jeep dealerships around, DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
