I stopped in to look at a car here on a Saturday. It was about 15 minutes before closing, I assumed that since I was a (potential) customer and this was... a place of business, and the sales people were paid on commission, that the time wouldn't be a big issue. There were no other customers in the building but surprisingly the receptionist had to actually tell a salesman (who saw me standing there) he needed to help me. When I told him I was there to see a car they had a advertised online for sale he said "well, do you just want to look at it real quick?" Now under other circumstances I could imagine that being an innocent question. In this case though, since when I walked in, he was just standing there talking with the other staff talking about getting out of there, ( I could hear what they were saying) I could tell he was asking because he was more interested in going home than in helping me. After some typing and then walking around the lot for 5 minutes, he came back to tell me the car was in the back and was not "ready" for sale yet. He wanted my contact info so he could let me know when it was ready. If I had wanted to give a used car salesman my contact info I would have called first, but that's another issue. Disgusted, I muttered, "this was a waste of time." Instead of apologizing for advertising a car that wasn't ready for sale or for being more interested in going home than in making a commission by helping a customer, he was offended. "You didn't call to find out first and you come in right before closing and say it's a waste of time?" Good to know! If it's my fault they advertise a car that's not ready and my fault that he wanted to go home more than he wanted to help me and earn a commission, and my fault he was rude instead of conciliatory, then I definitely won't make that mistake again. Justing by past my experience, this is the kind of place that is more interested in the handful of dollars they will make on their current transaction than they are in setting themselves up for long term repeat customers. Avoid buying here if you want to be treated as a customer...
