Sales dept was great when I bought my vehicle brand new from Subaru Fairfield. In the last 4 years two of my friends have made purchases from Subaru based... on my glowing reviews. I WAS a Subaru buyer for life. I had a 1999 legacy, then my 2014 outback and next up was gonna be the 2019 ascent. . But I brought my car here in FEB to have an engine nice looked at because it made a scraping sound when it ran, l after a fender bender. I also asked by the way can you fix my airbag recall and my dent as well. Sure no problem. See you in two weeks.... that was Feb 20 2019. Take note today is June 20 - exactly 4 months later. 3 months of no updates from the revolving door of service managers that worked at that dept. Every time we called it was a new person in charge. Their turn over is RIDICULOUS. But I digress, May I call in and get a new person who connects me to a new manager handling my car and repairs. 1 month of lies and getting the "customer service treatment" only to find out the engine was NEVER LOOKED AT. They did a test drive with a mechanic at my request because when they called me June 19 to tell me it was ready, I KNEW they hadn't fixed it. then be told they will not complete the repairs for engine work - after spending a total of 4 months fixing the body work and air bag. Oh also they threw in a free battery for my inconvenience. How sweet right? the car was brought in for an engine sound it was making when it rev'd up.. I dropped the car off on Feb 20 - and on June 19th they took it for a test drive. After my boyfriend went in to try to explain exactly what we took the car in for and how this was going to need to be resolved before we move cross country in 10 days, they drop us and tell us we have to pay for the repairs they have done, find somewhere else to get the engine fixed and do it with 24 hours notice or they will charge us a daily storage fee. These people are extortionists and will pay legally for this emotional, financial distress they've put me under. Yes I will find another company to take my money too, and I will scream from every rooftop how horrible Subaru treated me as a loyal, paying customer.
When you came in to voice your concerns and dissatisfaction with the service you had received, we sat calmly and discussed everything. We completely ...acknowledged that the level of service you received was unacceptable. Immediately following our discussion, we had every intention of resolving your concerns and had your vehicle set for inspection first thing the next day. We understood this to be an amicable solution. Unfortunately, hours later, your boyfriend, the other owner of the vehicle, chose to come in and became verbally belligerent with our management staff and customers on the showroom floor. He chose to use inappropriate language and racial slurs with our staff. This was completely uncalled for and we do not tolerate behavior of this kind from anyone, including our customers. We had hoped that you would accept our apologies and allow us the opportunity to remedy your concerns, however, his behavior directly influenced our decision and our right as a business, to refuse to provide any further services to either of you. Best of luck to you both.
Do NOT take your car to this service center, under any circumstances. I brought my outback to this dealership to have a dent removed from the front bumper... and a have an engine noise diagnosed. That was 3 and a half months ago. I have not been updated on the status of the repair once, having to call 2 to 3 days in a row before I get any response back. I have been continuously given the runaround when they do finally talk to me, being told week after week after week that the vehicle will be done "next week". This is beyond outrageous. I still do not have my car back. THREE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER. This service center will take your car and you will not see it again for months, and you will not get a straight answer, ever, when talking to the representatives. You have been warned. Go here at your own risk. Update: After having my car for 4 months total, I was told the car is ready to be picked up and the repairs have been completed. Well surprise surprise!! We go to pick up the car and the dent was repaired... but the engine noise was still there. And the service center's response? "We didnt know it had engine problems too." We made them bring up the documentation with the reson why the car was brought to the dealership. It was right there in the explanation if the problems. So in 4 months, no one even looked at the documentation of why the car was brought in the first place, and no one ever so much as took it for a test drive. After calling them out on this massive failure, their decision was to drop us as a customer. We have been informed that they have consulted with Subaru corporate, and that corporate advised them that it was in their best interest to refuse to complete the repairs at this point. I will never own a Subaru again.
Mr. Daniel, As of yesterday, we had every intention of resolving your concerns as per our conversation with the other vehicle owner, Ms. Walker. Unfo...rtunately, you chose to come in later and became verbally belligerent with our management staff and other customers on our showroom floor, including your choice to use inappropriate language and racial slurs with our staff. We do not tolerate behavior of this kind from anyone, including our customers. Therefore, your actions directly resulted in our decision and our right as a business, to refuse to provide any further services to you or Ms. Walker. We encourage you to use better behavior in your future dealings with businesses and staff members as most of them are simply trying to do their best. Good luck to you
We had a good buying experience at Fairfield Subaru, because they had the color and model of the car that I wanted. on the lot.
Very happy with service. Provided a loaner without prior appointment. Serviced and cleaned car within the allotted time.

Service and repairs. I took my car in for a pre arranged repair and service. The amont of the repair was mis quoted more than three times and was brushed... off by the comment that the insurance would pay it. What should have been a simple warranty service took an entire week for no reason. Lastly, I asked several times if my settings had been restored. I was told that they were. When I got my car the safety settings were turned off and the GPS addresses were erased. Although the employees involved were very nice, the experience was very frustrating.

Brought my car in for an oil change was told that the prices changed at the beginning of the year. Oil change was $152.00, at that point I should have... said never mind and left. I asked to speak to the service manager and was directed to Wahid - Managing Partner. He said that they didn't make money off of oil changes and that's why the prices were doubled. Wahid also said that he new that he was going to lose customers, at that point I told him he just lost another. I won't be back to have any service done on my car at this dealership.
