Sold a known faulty, unsafe vehicle by GMA.
This is my first ever negative post about a business. I even feel giving 1 star is more than is deserved by such a deceptive business. I was sold a Prius and within two weeks a check engine light was on, the engine was shuttering on start, and I brought into Toyota for inspection. Upon review of the car and it's history, there was a KNOWN report months earlier stating the head gasket was in need of service which was NOT disclosed to me upon purchase, and I was quoted at nearly 4k worth of repairs. I bought the car for $5200. When I brought this issue up with GMA, I was met with resistance until I showed them the documentation showing they KNEW the car needed the work before being sold to me. ONLY THEN did they say to they would work with me on the repairs that were required for the vehicle to be road safe and drivable. After back and forth, MIKE at GMA finally agreed to have their dealership mechanic ( Safety Auto Repair) fix the head gasket and water pump and GMA would cover the cost. I have this agreement in writing. Great, I thought the headache was over. I felt glad they'd do the right thing in order to remedy the situation. I was so wrong. After a week I was told my car was fixed and ready to be picked up, so I drove back down to Everett from Bellingham to get my car they claimed to have fixed and brought it directly back to Toyota to make sure the work was done properly. It was not. The work was NOT done. Toyota ran the same pressure tests and still showed the same failure in the head gasket. I called GMA back to get answers as to what was done and what wasn't. I requested the invoice of the work and a day later, I was given a invoice of work done that was NOT the work that was agreed on and required to make the vehicle road safe, and not the work they agreed in writing to do. MIKE of GMA insisted I come back down to Everett to bring it back to the same mechanic that didn't do the work they promised they'd do. After obliviously being burned now MULTIPLE TIMES, I denied such offer and countered by asking them to refund my money and take their car back. The trust is gone. The reliability is not there. They knowingly sent me onto the road in an unsafe car TWICE and that is unforgivable. I am left with no other options but legal recourse. If I can beg of you one thing, it's that you do not make the same mistake as I did. During a global pandemic, these spineless cowards will only look to rip you off, waste your time and money, and put you in a certified lemon. MIKE from GMA kept claiming that his "20 years in business" means that he knows what he's doing, when really he should be embarrassed that his business is built on taking advantage of consumers for nearly 2 decades. This is the worst business I've ever dealt with. And unfortunately I'm stuck having to continue this nightmare until justice is served through legal means. DONT END UP LIKE ME. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
