I met with Kevin to inquire about purchasing a Toyota Rav4 they had listed on their website. Kevin was knowledgeable about the car and helped me with whatever questions I had. After paying for an inspection with an independent mechanic I gave the inspection report to Kevin who told me that they would take care of the noticed issues. The potential red flag that my mechanic noticed on this vehicle was the evaporation monitor not being complete or set. Kevin said that he would drive the vehicle around until the monitor turned on. I waited several days for a response from Kevin on the status of the monitor and the other issues that he said he would fix. During that time, Kevin told me that the owner took a deposit from another customer. This was a frustrating experience because of the time and money I had invested in meeting with Kevin and waiting on him to respond to me. He also did not tell me that another person may be placing a deposit on the car before/while I met with him. It seems to me that Second Car Center did not want to complete the work that Kevin said they would complete, so they decided to sell the car to another customer who may have been less scrupulous. I'm disappointed with the way Second Car Center has interacted with me and I hope they don't lead other customers on like they did me in the future.

They never contacted me back about the vehicle I was inquiring about. Hopefully somebody responds soon.
