As a Treasure Coast resident who values community, I'm

As a Treasure Coast resident who values community, I'm sharing my troubling experience with Classic Cars of Palm Beach (CCPB) to inform potential buyers. Introduction to the Issue: I purchased a 2015 Mercedes ML350 from CCPB, initially drawn by their friendly demeanor. John and Frank shared stories of their children in the arts, mirroring my life as a musician, and offered a $500 education discount, aligning the vehicle's price with my insurance payout. This rapport turned questionable when severe mechanical issues emerged soon after purchase. The Discovery of Pre-existing Issues: Shortly after buying the car, I faced major mechanical failures, including an oil leak and camshaft issues, with repair costs from certified mechanics exceeding $13,000. These were not minor problems but signs of significant, undisclosed damage. John's Response to Complaints: John's response to my Better Business Bureau and Bureau of Consumer Affairs complaints was dismissive. He highlighted the AS-IS sale and my declined warranty option to deflect from the real issue—the sale of a vehicle riddled with pre-existing problems. Analyzing the Dealership's Reactions: A reputable business might offer help or at least an apology when a defective vehicle is sold. Instead, CCPB shielded themselves with the AS-IS clause, showing no intent to address the problem or offer support, contradicting their initial assurance of quality. A Troubling Explanation: John's claim during a Consumer Affairs inquiry that they "try to steer customers away from franchise stores due to high labor rates" and use local shops "like an extension of my business" fails to explain why he didn't direct me to his service network when my car's issues surfaced. This oversight and his reluctance to accept responsibility for the sale expose a lack of genuine customer care. A Pattern of Deceptive Practices: This incident isn't isolated. Other consumer reviews describe similar experiences with CCPB, suggesting a pattern of selling vehicles with hidden defects without proper disclosure, followed by inadequate responses to complaints. Conclusion and Reflection: If CCPB truly valued honesty and community, their reaction to selling a defective vehicle would likely be more supportive and transparent. Instead, their behavior post-sale suggests a disregard for ethical business practices and consumer satisfaction. Call to Action: Prospective buyers should be wary and thoroughly vet CCPB before purchasing. Their facade of reliability may not fully align with their business practices, as demonstrated by my and others' experiences. In support of this review, I'll include images of text exchanges showing a shift in Frank's demeanor from pre- to post-sale and a compilation of similar negative reviews, highlighting the recurring issues at CCPB. Let this serve as a warning: appearances can be deceiving in the used car market. Always verify independently to avoid falling victim to predatory practices like those I encountered at Classic Cars of Palm Beach.

I purchased a Porsche Cayenne S and had it delivered

I purchased a Porsche Cayenne S and had it delivered cross country to Washington state. I had the plates ready when it was delivered to my driveway a week later. Every step was a breeze, no BS or upselling. Vehicle was delivered as advertised and I am very pleased with my purchase. This was a great car buying experience. I would 100% recommend pulling the trigger if you're contemplating any of the fine vehicles in their inventory. Will be a return customer as I spend several months a year in Florida.

Sold me a car that needs a new motor

A negative star. I found a car and purchased it and was told everything was perfect with it. They drove it up to me- I immediately thought they were great. When I got the car, the next day it had to go to the shop for a motor problem. They promised to pay for the fix but there were also $5,000 other damages wrong with it. Which I had to pay out of pocket for. So that’s a total of $9,000 for this “great” car that I had purchased a day before. The car was in the shop for almost 3 months. It was fixed, temporarily, then 3 weeks later had to go back to the shop where they then told me IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR. Which is $15,000. This is the worst scamming car dealership. Do not trust them.

Buyer be Ware

We purchased a 2018 F150 pick up truck with 70,000 miles. We called to be sure the vehicle was there and were told it was having tires put on it. We were thrilled it would have new tires. The next day we went to test drive it and they weren't able to get the new tires because they didn't have the keys for the lugs. My husband test drove it anyway. He was very happy how it drove, he then wrote a check for approximately $30,000 and we would be able to pick up the truck the next day. The text day when we arrived to pick the truck up we found out they only replaced 2 tires. We felt like this was shady, but we didn't specifically ask if 4 tires were being replaced we only assumed when they said "tires put on the truck". So we took delivery on the truck without even saying anything to them about this. When we arrived home my husband and son check the air pressure in the tires. They were all low. Weird since 2 tires were brand new. They put the correct amount of air in the tires. We left the drive way and all the sudden the tires rubbed the body. I can only assume they had the tires under inflated so they wouldn't rub. We drove about 20 miles and the check engine light came on. To say we were upset is an understatement. We took the truck to our mechanic after reading the codes and diagnosing it needed $3700 worth or work timing change and other items needed to be repaired. He said had he checked this truck before we bought it he would have told us not to buy it. The next day my husband spoke to the sales man about our issues. This was 4 days after we took delivery. The salesman told him "that's why we offer extended warranty, did you buy the extended warranty?" The answer to that is no we didn't buy it. So I reached out to the owner, I was intercepted by the General Manager he at least was sympathetic, but said he would get with the owner and see what they could do. I provided them with the quote from the shop for repairs and they came back and said "we will give you $500 back in good faith". That is a slap in the face compared to what I now have to put out so my 16 son can have a safe truck to drive. If I wanted to spend $34000 and still need two tires, this surely isn't the truck I would have bought. I thought buying from a small business was the right thing to do. I would never give them my business again. I wouldn't suggest anyone purchase cars there. Obviously they don't check their cars thorough before buying. BE WARE!

Do not buy from them

Do not buy from this dealer. They sell branded title vehicles that were previously sent back to dealerships as lemons. Bought a suv from them and have spent thousands and thousands to keep it on the road. The “warranty” they sell is not worth the piece of paper it is written on . They are all crooks and know what they are selling is nothing but junk cars. They are a 0 out of 5 stars

Don’t buy a car from these people

These people are really quick to scam you. We bought a 2015 BMW, knowing that it was a used car. Not a month after we had the car they found metal shavings in the engine, amongst other things. They are not even trying to make it right. Complete scam.

Stay away!!!!

Needed safe vehicle. Sold me a vehicle that had faulty brakes ( they said it was overlooked). Car broke down numberous times after sale. I went to their mechanic who told me car was suppose to be auctioned and they told dealer is can’t be sold due to numerous unsafe issues the dealer never disclosed . I was able to return but second car had faulty ebrake that the owner tried to disconnect to make quick sale. Very unsafe!! Stay away. They are not honest and they have been reported to numerous agencies.

Cars Need Service !!

I brought car 5 days ago the Carfax didn't show recent service. Car is for my 20 year old college daughter. She is in Florida By yourself. 4 days later the service engine light comes on I asked specifically about the car service I was told everything was with car was good. Obviously NOT GOOD !!! I dont think Classic cars even looked at car before they sold it. My first car from them had many problems. I gave them another chance my mistake. I will change review after seeing what they do. They need to do a full service on Car. Manager told me he would put his daughter in the car to drive to Alaska she wouldn't have made it too far. Car buying experience already ruined. My daughter went from excited to " Oh No, Not again." Meaning dealer sold us another bad car. Very disappointing. Ruined my daughters car buying experience and weekend

Nice service with little work for me to do

Bob, was absolutely awesome! With his expertise I was able to work and rely on him to complete most of the purchasing process. He was patient and assisted me while I was on duty and trying to make the purchase. I am impressed and they delivered the car the same day. Now that is Premium service. I appreciate Mr. Harris and his team for their efforts. Now because of my experience my partner wants to purchase from Classic Cars as well......See you guys again soon. Thanks a million!!
