Bob is awesome and was the perfect salesman for my daughter who was buying her first car. No schoomzy garbage, just straight up let's do this attitude, and that's how my daughter rolls as well. She didn't love the final finance guy, but hey, the deal was done, and she stuck to her guns and got through that part. Thanks, Bob!

My TDI Jetta was in the shop for a lot of work, timing
My TDI Jetta was in the shop for a lot of work, timing chain, serpentine belt, water pump & top of the motor needed work, got all that done, then the check engine light came on, I needed a new DEF tank. So Volkswagen does not support their diesel vehicles anymore it was difficult getting a new DEF tank. So I waited and finally got it after 2 years, I had forgotten how nice the car drove. I love the car, but had to purchase a different vehicle in the mean time, to get around. I will drive it for a while then sell it. The people in the service kept me up to date with the car. Marabel M the service manager was great & Daniel who helped me, even put a new battery in the car for me Thanks Kirkland Volkswagen service dept.

Reached out about a specific car but all i got was
Reached out about a specific car but all i got was generated emails from both the reception and the General Manager (Tony). No one actually got back to me about the vehicle i has request about. After receiving about 6 generated emails I blocked them. Don’t waist your time.

Ok “Bob” we were there and you didn’t want to help us.
Ok “Bob” we were there and you didn’t want to help us. I guess because you had a sale on the line, you suddenly couldn’t remember our discussion. We drove from Mt Vernon in the pouring rain only for you to “not remember” then shrugging your shoulders as if “oh well” when we were leaving. Let me tell you, I will NEVER recommend you or VW of Kirkland to anyone. If fact I will be writing negative reviews anywhere I can. Thanks for nothing Bob! Julius A Farrar Jr

Be aware that this is one of those dealerships that
Be aware that this is one of those dealerships that requires overpriced aftermarket products to be sold with all of their cars even if you don’t want them. On the vehicle I was interested in (a new 2024 Jetta S manual - the cheapest car Volkswagen sells in the U.S.), this was over $2,300 in “pre-installed” $18 Scotch Guard paint and fabric protection, an $8 eBay chip in the third brake light that makes it flash, $358 splash guards, and a $449 prepaid maintenance program. I have perfect credit (800+, according to Credit Karma), and Volkswagen had a $219/month lease special in the Seattle area for the car and terms I was interested in, and this dealer quoted me $372/month for one of three of those cars in their inventory (same price, different colors). I understand taxes and fees can increase the advertised rates (generally $20-30 per $1000 in the deal), but this dealership straight up said they weren’t interested in working with me after I asked them to remove the aftermarket products I didn’t ask for and to match the advertised lease special. I guess dealerships can choose who they work with, but it does not feel like this dealership cares about what customers want and I would be extremely hesitant about buying a car from them or servicing my car there given their lack of interest in customer centricity.

They really went the extra mile to make me feel welcomed
They really went the extra mile to make me feel welcomed as an indecisive customer. I worked with a tall female sales woman and she was super knowledgeable! I highly recommend shopping here.

Our Tiguan is burning about 1 quart of oil every 500-800
Our Tiguan is burning about 1 quart of oil every 500-800 miles. We’ve taken it in twice for the exact same issue. We had our 30,000 major checkup and a full oil change was done. After about 5,000 miles, the oil light started coming on. The first time we brought it in for service we mentioned that we did NOT have an oil leak. They gave us a loaner and told us they’d charge $250 if they don’t find anything. Lo and behold, they didn’t find a leak even after we told them it wasn’t leaking oil. They SOLD us two quarts of oil and told us to keep adding oil every time the light comes on. NOTE: We are still under warranty which expires around the end of December of this year, so it makes sense for them to keep telling us this until the end of December. The oil light came on twice again after that. We went to VW of Ballard, and they asked for us to request that Kirkland do an oil consumption test. I asked to buy a quart of oil, and they laughed at me and said that’s a courtesy to top off oil. I let him know they charged for two quarts at the Kirkland VW. He was shocked but not surprised. Today, when we came in to drop our car off, they said that they don’t do oil consumption tests and that it would take a long time. They said they’d charge another $250 if they didn’t find a leak. We specifically told them that the car is not leaking oil. Needless to say, we didn’t leave the car today at their shop because we are exhausted of the same run around answers we’ve been getting over the past several months. We will be going to Ballard from now on and make sure our other VW friends do as well. This has gotten out of hand.

They’re Scammers
First off, I will say the service receptionist was very nice and communicative and compassionate about my post service. Ashley is great! But to begin things, I booked an appointment for an oil change on Monday 03/20 they started service and I decided to walk to a place to grab a bite to eat and after being quoted an hour and a half to 2 hours. Maybe 45 minutes in I receive a text saying "sad news, we don't actually have the needed oil filter here, are you able to come back tomorrow?" So of course I agree and go back the next day, quoted the same time frame, I decided to wait around, 3 hours later and they are still working on it. I also opted to have them replace my wiper blades while they were at it. $65 for some wiper blades I might add but we all know dealer markup is ridiculous but for convenience I gave the green light to go ahead and do it. On my way home I tried to use my wiper fluid only to find out my wipers weren't working. The point of this service was preparation for a trip to Chelan, my entire trip was without the use of my wipers... not fun! They must've of done 500 point inspection on everything in the car for safety precautions I would imagine they'd tout, however I did not feel safe without the use of my wipers. They didn't inspect their work to make sure everything worked properly, Boggles my mind they don't do post inspection for quality assurance. Also this place does not perform car washes or vacuuming with services performed. After spending $200 for an oil change and wiper blades, I would think that would be a nice touch. Came back from trip and went in to have them fix my windshield wipers and they legitimately blamed me for it, refused to take responsibility and then stated they had to charge me to fix it. Obviously I didn't stay and left with them still broken. I was EXTREMELY disappointed and pissed! Then they had the audacity to email me the following day to come get work done for 15% off what they recommended from the inspection they did that I never authorized the week prior. I'll clearly not be taking them up on this offer in fear of them ruining something else on my car and blaming me. Bonus Tidbit: when I first got my Touareg (about 2 yrs ago) I had a headlight out and I thought it would be some complicated process as it was my fist German vehicle, I called them to fix it and was quoted over $500 and the same 2 hour time frame. After hearing that, I looked at a YouTube video and ran to O'Reilly's, got the bulb for $100 replaced it in not even kidding, less then 5 minutes. That was clear robbery that thankfully I didn't fall for.

Great place for people who like to be scammed
Great place for people who like to be scammed Where to start? Went in for an inspection and they found a leak. Ok, bummer. They also said my windshield wipers should be replaced (I declined since they had been replaced 2 months prior). Pretty fishy. Then they said my rear rotors needed to be replaced, so I went ahead with that. Also fishy since I thought I'd had them all replaced 6months ago. Well I ended up checking the service records and all 4 rotors had been replaced 6months earlier. Called them on it and then they said they replaced the rotors since the pads were worn. $900 for brake pads basically. Wow. Then they said maybe the rotors were corroded somehow. There's more. My car was making a weird noise since it had been returned. They couldn't look at it for a while, but I discovered they had left the turbo diverter valve unplugged during the inspection. This causes damage to the seals in the turbo. Just great. Overall, I rate it 4.5 stars for scammy-ness and another 4 stars for incompetence.

Rudeness and poor communication
This dealer was difficult to work with. They offered the lowest value for my trade even among dealers belonging the the same parent cooperation. They also treated me with contempt. It was so bad my SO did not want to be present when we were supposed to pick up out car. They have also failed to follow through on scheduling a follow-up service visit and to activate included services provided by the car manufacturer as part of the sale.
