Write a reviewFriendly staff, nice store... but be cautious!
I have not had the truck long enough to get the first oil change, or even make the first payment, and the truck is in the shop for the third time. The first trip was to the shop the dealership used, the last 2 have been to a major dealership's shop for more accurate diagnosis. The first was a minor fix, this one is proving to be a much more complicated, and expensive repair. The "Big Box" dealership who's shop I took the vehicle to discovered an issue with all 8 cylinders. Knowing what has caused this matter will be clearer once their technician digs deeper. I really like the truck but these issues are leaving a very, very bad taste in my mouth and has me considering my options. I had a great in-store experience with my purchase, as I was given the chance to test drive 3 different vehicles on this visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can say they have worked with me thus far during these issues by paying the deductible on the visits and providing a loaner. After this last trip to the shop I asked about the Carfax report and was told there wasn't one available for this vehicle on file--Hmm?

Obviously we had no idea of any of the issue with the injectors, not the cylinders. I appreciate your review and thank you for your business. And, you are correct, used cars are mechanical and even though we have them checked out, some issues can still arise. As far as Carfax, they have had lots of issues with fraud. We decided to go to Autocheck Vehicle History Reports. That is the report that all the auctions use nationwide. At any rate, I hate that issues came up after delivery, I do hope you love your truck and the issues are resolved.
Amazing.
Amazing, great communication. Overall good experience. The car price wasn't that bad. Will recommend this car place to family friends coworkers and more. I love my new dodge durango. I appreciate all the good service

This is not something that should happen to any customer. There are some dealers that require credit approval before a test drive, but that is not us. I will certainly look into your situation. I don't know who you spoke with or when you were actually in the store. Could you call our manager and let him know when you have minute? Thanks! Kenny Epple 423-713-5800
The best customer service!
Max A. took his time to answer questions and really cared for me to have the best customer service. Previously I had gone to another dealership and treated me like I was not elite enough to buy from them. So going to University Motors after that was a total change. All the employees were polite, respectful, humble and full of smiles!

Thank you for the great review Exy!
Terrible experience. Wasted my time.
Made an appointment. Had $14K cash to buy a car. Drive two hours to seal the deal. Texted the agent as we left Nashville. Car was sold out from under us while we were driving. Not even a courtesy text to tell us. Wasted my time and now you have a crappy review for absolutely terrible customer service. Please don’t waste your time with these yahoos.

Unfortunately, you made an appointment around 11:30 on a Saturday. We already had two appointments on the same Jeep at 10 and 10:30. Sorry you wasted your time. We certainly did not intend to upset you.
Shopping for a Lincoln MKX
Sales person was nice but not very knowledgeable about cars. The manager was rude and refused to deal. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone I know.

I apologize that we weren't able to accept your husbands offer. I can assure you that we were trying to helpful and not rude. As a small business, we certainly can not afford to upset folks.

BEWARE... do NOT buy from them
BEWARE... My bad experience started after I had signed on the dotted line. They had tried to get me to sign before the vehicle came back from emissions, but I wouldn't. Once it was done, I signed (wish I never did). a few weeks later, they call me up and tell me that I need to take it to emissions. I told them that they had done it before I signed for it. Apparently, it had failed emissions, and they told me it passed. There's the first major issue. Secondly, about 3 months after getting the vehicle, it starts making a rattle on startup. Keep in mind the salesman personally showed me the fresh oil change and explained to me going over the car fax report that all maintenance was kept up and the truck did appear to be in very good shape. So I check the oil and it's full and not due for an oil change. I then take it to the dealership to check it out. They inform me it's going to be $2,700 in repairs to change out the timing chain, tensioner, and cam phasers. Very upset, naturally, I agree to the charges, and they start on the work. an hour later, they call me back and tell me they can't fix it, it needs a new engine that the vehicle looks like it never had an oil change a day in its life it was so gunked up with sludge, it was horrible. They even sent me pictures of the inside of the engine. Now my damage for a new engine and labor is roughly $13,000. I understand that the vehicle was used and "as is", and looking back, I should've seen the red flags, but unfortunately I didn't. Now I'm stuck with a 20K truck that is useless. I called University Motors to explain to them what happened, but they refuse to help out in any way. They even made the comment, "it's not that we don't want to help, it's that we can't help", I said no, it's that you can help, but you don't want to help. So yes, beware and stay away from this place and go to an actual dealership that certifies their used cars so you don't risk getting screwed like I did.

Hey Kevin, that is terrible news. I can assure you that the emissions is not a "Major Issue". Emissions checks settings that typically require a vehicle to go through a drive cycle. It simply has to have the computer go through some checks. On May 30, 2019, we had your truck serviced at repair facility. They serviced the engine and made no mention of sludge or other issues. We also replaced the wipers, brakes, and rotors. We do these things so that we can offer service contracts and/or warranty's on our vehicles. We also noticed the Carfax report that shows the truck was serviced regularly. Because of the clean Carfax report and the fact that we just serviced the truck, I would highly suggest another opinion as to the issue with the truck. I hate that truck has had any issues after you took delivery. However, we can not be held responsible 3 months later. Anytime you purchase a used truck, especially one over 100,000 miles, you should seek a 3rd party to inspect the vehicle. I know we offered you a service contract that would have covered this issue as well. I appreciate your business and will be happy to assist you in finding a more affordable solution.
Bradley Finnan provided the Best Customer Service
Bradley Finnan was the most helpful salesman I have met. He listened very closely to my needs and challenges of what car would best suit my situation. HIs guidance was authentic and helpful in purchasing a car. I highly recommend Bradley and appreciate University Motors of Chattanooga.

Thanks for the GREAT review!!! We greatly appreciate your business!
Pleasant and comfortable experience
I stopped in to look at a used truck and met with Brad who spent lots of time sharing information about the vehicle and comparisons with other vehicles in the same class he seemed very knowledgeable and yet was comfortable to talk to with no high pressure gimmicks....after the sale Brad took the time to show me how to operate controls on vehicle and programmed the blue tooth for my cell phone...I was impressed with the amount of service and maintenance they had done to vehicle including new timing belt, water pump and all fluids and filters replaced ....I recommend Brad and this dealership 😁
