HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
My experience at Legacy Buick in Slidell was a nightmare. My wife and I went there to purchase a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali. At first, everthing went ok. We enjoyed the test drive and loved the luxury of the Denali. The truck we picked had everything that we wanted except for the automatic running boards. We were told during the test drive that we could add the running boards to that truck for about $2000. We proceeded to the office to fillout the necessary paperwork. This is where the experience turned sour. After a bit of a wait for the finance manager, he was obviously rushing through all of the paperwork that we needed to sign. We felt extremely rushed and had to actually tell him to slow down so that we could understand what choices we were making and the paperwork that we were signing. After being rushed through the paperwork, we were told by Gino, the Sales guy, that we would not be able to take our truck home because there was a safety recall. He told us this AFTER we had negotiated the price for the truck, signed the paperwork for the truck and were prepared to leave. We purchased this truck on a Saturday early afternoon and were told we could not take our truck until Monday morning. After being rushed through the paperwork, we were very upset to have to wait to take our truck home. He had hours to tell us that was a safety recall. But he waited until AFTER we signed the final documents to bring up that fact. Next, because Legacy GMC is located in Slidell and we live in Laplace, they offered to deliver the truck to us after the safety recall was resolved. As a courtesy for all new trucks, we were supposed to get a full tank of gas and a detailed vehicle. The young lady they sent to drop the truck off to Laplace got lost in Thibodaux and used half of our gas. Then, the running boards that we agreed to were set to be installed the next week. When the running boards were installed, they were aftermarket, cheap looking and took away from the overall look of the Denali. They looked horrible and definitely not the same running boards that the Sales man had showed me during the test drive. When I complained to the Sales manager, Mike, he basically stone walled me. After spending almost $60,000 with Legacy GMC, he basically told me that I was stuck with the running boards and they were not going to put my old ones back on. He also said that I could forget about a refund. I have never been treated so poorly when I have spent my hard earned money, especially this much money. After a heated argument, he finally referred me to the owner. The owner agreed to refund me a very small portion of my money ($950) and agreed to reinstall my original running boards. Their excuse was that they won’t be able to use the after market running boards (which I don’t believe) and that it would take ten hours to swap the running boards out (it took less than 2 hours). They claimed to have sent the money to Chase (who we have the truck financed with). The $950 has yet to be applied to our balance. I have waited 22 years to buy the truck that I always wanted. While I love my new truck, Legacy GMC Buick made this the most painful car buying experience, me or my wife have ever dealt with. Between the two of us we have bought many cars. This has BY FAR been the worst.

2019 GMC truck
Had truck recalls repairs made 5 days later same problems failed brakes and engine came back on called Thursday an hasn't got call back yet

No hassles buying experience
I came shopping to replace my 2011 Sierra. Greeted by Product Specialist, Jarfis who showed me several pickup trucks and searched the entire lot and inventory for a bench seat in the front. I was ready to give up and go elsewhere when Service Manager, Mike searched his inventory on the computer and pointed me to a new 2019 Sierra, loaded and priced right. Before buying, I asked if I could drive it home to make sure it would fit in my short garage. Too long by 2 inches. I returned to the dealership and Jarfis and Mike hooked me up with Salesman Gino. Since a replacement truck was no longer an option, I asked to look at a 2020 Acadia. Gino showed me a few and had Jarfis fetch the keys to one the color I requested. Meanwhile Mike had returned from a test drive on my old Sierra and told me trade-in price. A fair offer. Jarfis knows his product line. Not only did he know every feature and function of the new Sierras, but also walked me through all the details of the Acadia. I’m taking this home.! After a great test drive and thorough walk-through of the Acadia, he took me back in to Gino to make the sale. Gino had already started the paperwork with my trade-in when I threw one last kink in the mix; I also needed to trade-in a second car. Gino said no problem and let me drive the Acadia home to pick it up with Jarfis driving the Acadia back while I drove the old Buick. Gino took a quick test drive and also made a fair offer which was all we needed to close the deal. Summary: Shopping new vehicles is stressful, trying to weigh the features and learn as you test drive. Jarfis was great at staying with me throughout the process, ready to answer my questions. Mike never gave up his search as we went through the inventory for my specific requests. I kept throwing required features at him but he stayed with it and worked to find a match. He also got me a quick and fair trade-in quote on my old truck. (I had already walked away from another dealer who severely low-balled the quote today.) Finally, Gino was all over my needs and concerns and had a no pressure approach. Very friendly and courteous and professional. When he brought the preliminary paperwork together, the numbers were all what we agreed, no tricks. Bottom line, this is where I bought my last vehicle and this will be where I buy my next one. Pulling together a great team that is helpful, courteous, professional and respectful of their customers.

Great Experience
I made the call to Legacy because of the huge inventory they have and the truck i wanted was there (2020 2500HD Denali). Once there Gino took good care of me. If you are looking for a new truck you owe it to yourself to go check Legacy out, you will not be disappointed! Its worth the ride over there!
