While our salesman, Ryan, was great to work with, the overall experience was terrible. We are not from the area. I sent over detailed photos, info and everything they would need to give me an estimated trade in value to see if the drive there would worth it. I was told $22-23k trade in value. We were offered similar or more by a few local dealerships but the specific vehicle I was after isn’t available around here. My husband and I both took off work, drove 8 hours total, sat and waited for 2+ hours for them to come out and offer me NINE THOUSAND LESS! Before giving us the insulting offer, they RAN OUR CREDIT! We filled out the paperwork on it which I never do before knowing my trade value but they had already told us our trade value would be between 22-23k which we were fine with AND THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO MENTION IT WOULD BE FAR LESS. Not only was the offer insulting, they tried to state false reasons why such as “it needs tires” but I have receipt proof that I just put tires on 6 months ago and they’re still great. They stated there was a transmission issue which worried us as we had no indication ever that there was an issue so we had it looked at by an auto and a transmission shop— both stating that the transmission is perfectly sound. To have someone drive that far and turn around with an offer like that was insane. On top of it all, the vehicle we went to see was filthy inside and appeared to not have been detailed despite them having it on the lot for a bit. I began reading reviews after we left and wish I would have before making the trip because they play this game often. Not many car dealerships have integrity or morals— and AutoCenters of Herculaneum certainly does not. Do NOT recommend.

This dealership should be ashamed of the way they treat

This dealership should be ashamed of the way they treat customer's. I was lied to, deceived and bribed. I drove 3 1/2 hours with to test drive a particular car that I was interested in. The dealership closed wasn't open when I got there due to weather. The weather was fine when I got there. I was told by their online answering service that a manager would call me. That never happened. I checked into a hotel so I could test drive the car the next day. The next morning I called and spoke with the dales manager Kyle. He apologized for me not being notified of their closing and offered to pay for my hotel stay. Which I thought was nice. I went to test drive the car an hour later. To make a very long story short. I took the car to a local body shop. The car had hail damage all over the hood and roof. The windshield had chips , the brakes were almost gone with very thin rotors. The engine compartment had sand all throughout. Like it was in a flood or something. I brought the car back and told them about all of the problems that was found. The sales associate Ryan had the typical used car salesman excuse for all of it. He knew nothing about that car. I offered them a cash price with the idea that I would have the car repaired. They came back with a higher price than they had the car listed for. They told me if I wasn't going to finance through them or give them a trade in, then the car is a higher price. That was never discussed or disclosed. The car fax doesn't mention any hail damage. I walked away. Kyle refused to pay for my hotel stay, He told me that morning that if I was bought the car he would take $275 off. If not then he would cut me a check. He refused to give me anything because I caught them lying and deceiving and I wouldn't give them their ridiculous price for the car. They knew about what was wrong with it because it's been half assed detailed and it's been on their lot awhile. After I went home they dropped the price of the car online. Kyle is a poor excuse for a sales manager. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. My red flag should have been the customer arguing very loud with a sales associate when I arrived there. He was saying that he was lied to and lost a lot of money on car repairs. The sales associate was yelling at the customer. Beware of this place and especially Kyle and Ryan. Scam artists.

Liars!

Had a sales agreement in place and scheduled travel to pick up the vehicle. Salesman sold it behind my back. Manager refuses to reimburse me for my expenses. (i.e interest on loan, out of state travel expenses, etc, etc)

Trent experiences

I was looking around for the best price on a GMC pickup truck when I ran into Trent the salesman there.Now I was really not ready to do something that day but Trent said know problem at that time Trent also said something funny to me He said I don’t want to sell you something anyway so I said what do you mean. Trent said I want you sell me a truck so I thought that was weird so I basically sold myself a truck there by picking Trent’s mind on the inventory there which was incredible now we went back forth a few times but it was the easiest purchase I ever made I will never forget what Trent said to me. I thought it was pretty funny but it was such a relaxed environment know pressure but great service I tell you what I recommend Trent if anybody wants a great experience with a few laughs. I tell you what come down and see Trent whether you’re buying that day or need some great advice on buying a car or truck. Sincerely PMAC
