I was searching for dealers with discounts on new Subarus, and found a car listed by Janesville Subaru with a significant discount. I verified that their... website also reflected this significant discount, so I reached out via the website to confirm if it was a price mistake or not. I received an initial response telling me the vehicle was available for an immediate test drive, but with a much higher price than what was shown on the website. I was told that to get that price I would need to step down to a basic model, so I explained that I was just confirming if the price online was accurate, or a mistake. I was asked to provide a picture of what I was seeing, and I did, plus a link to the website directly. Instead of just telling me it was a mistake, as I suspected it might be, I was told the car was actually sold already. So somehow in the course of our 26 minute e-mail conversation the car went from being available for an immediate test drive to sold. Maybe that's true, but it certainly doesn't seem likely, and all they had to do was be honest and say they made a mistake on their website. I would have been more than happy to visit the dealer and complete the sale today, as it was a significant discount reflected on their website, or I could have just moved on if they had just confirmed what I suspected was a mistake in pricing. If I can't get honesty during the initial contact, how can I expect it through the rest of the sales process? Very disappointing considering how much Subaru promotes their "Subaru Love Promise".
Deana is a very professional and knowledgeable sales person. The facility is clean comfortable and modern. The condition of my new vehicle, Subaru Ascent,... was what one would expect. If you're looking for a luxury SUV with known reliability this is it.
We feel everyone was easy to communicate with. They were very knowledgeable of the vehicles. The salesman, Austin, was friendly and felt very comfortable... talking with him.
This was my first time buying a Subaru and Austin did a great job of showing me all the bells and whistles on the Crosstrek. He made the buying experience... easy and understandable. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in buying a Subaru.

Was given an exceptional deal on a new Outback that made the 2 hour drive from Chicago well worth it. A bit pushy in selling the extended warranty from... the F&I manager and finalizing the sale, but still given an overall great deal on the car. Quick initial response and getting the deposit down on the car we knew we wanted, but follow up was a bit slow. Facility is very well maintained and welcoming staff abound.
My husband and I bought two Subaru???s from Austin the same day. We were not easy customers, but Austin was wonderful and answered all our questions.... He consistently went above & beyond. We ended up with the cars we wanted, with the features we wanted, and without the features we didn???t want, and at a fair price. Not only that, he followed-up to make sure everything was going OK. We are both enjoying our new cars.
I had wanted a Forester for several years. Then I became enamored with a used GMC Terrain SLT1. I was on my way to purchase a Terrain when I decided to... stop by Janesville Subaru. Austin was outside and greeted me. We struck up a conversation and I told him I was on my way to buy a car. He asked if I was familiar with Subaru's. I have owned several and have been pleased with each one. When I described what I had been looking for in a Forester, Austin lead me a vehicle that had just been offloaded from the truck. It was exactly what I???d been looking for. NOTE: I am from Roscoe. I had been dealing with several other Subaru dealers over the past few days, but they did not have the number of cars Janesville Subaru had. Since I couldn't find "my car" I started looking at the GMC. Austin showed me their Terrains, then took me again to the new Forester. We did a simple pros/cons list. Over 40 years of driving I have had a number of vehicles in the GMC family. As I spoke about them I also recalled all the various mechanics who kept them running. My Subaru's never had much of a problem. My wife's Legacy has 68,000 miles with the only trips to a garage being for oil changes. I even drove that car up Mount Washington in New Hampshire. Austin is a great guy to deal with. He is not high pressure and he wants to get you into a great car that you can afford. He knows his Subaru???s as well as the used cars on the lot. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was polite, knowledgeable, and followed up with both personal emails and phone calls to ensure all was well and answer my questions. Austin is perhaps the best car sales person I have had the privilege of working with. He got me to move from a car I'd settle for, to the car I wanted. I am going to enjoy this Forester the next 10 years!
