⸻ Zach was very informative, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. I do have one suggestion: if you’re selling EVs like Teslas to out-of-state customers, it would be helpful to deliver the vehicle with a full charge. Since Tesla’s Supercharger network cannot be used until the app is properly set up, it can create a challenge for first-time handoff. That said, I’m overall very happy with my purchase and appreciate the great service.

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR VEHICLE FROM GENUINE MOTOR COMPANY

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR VEHICLE FROM GENUINE MOTOR COMPANY GLADSTONE! Let this review serve as a warning to anyone thinking about using this dealership for your auto needs. I purchased a 2012 SUBARU WRX with only 37,431 original miles in March of 2024. While completing all the paperwork, the sales team member recommended that I purchase their exclusionary coverage package for an extra $2207. He explained that if ANYTHING mechanically or electrically went wrong with the vehicle, it would be covered under this warranty guarantee. Like most people, I was a little skeptical buying a used Subaru so this was a huge plus sell for me and definitely eased my worries knowing that for 24 months or 24,000 miles, I would have the necessary coverage. For this exact reason, I decided to move forward with my purchase on the Subaru. Fast forward to November 2024 and 46,756 miles (8 out of the 24 months on warranty and 9325 miles out of the 24,000 miles of guaranteed coverage) and my car broke down. I had my car towed to a mechanic who stated I needed a brand new transmission, clutch/ and flywheel. I was so thankful that I had listened to the salesman and bought the warranty. All work on my car was held and for weeks I waited for an inspector from the warranty company to come check out the car. Finally, when an inspector came, they denied any coverage on the basis that the car had been “modified” which caused excessive stress on the parts and voided the warranty. I never modified the car at all myself. I bought it straight from Genuine Motor Co. and was sold under the false premise that I would be covered under those conditions. This means that the contracted warranty I was plus sold at the time of purchase was voided from the start since the car had been modified at the time of purchase. I had to pay $7716.00 to fix my car and had to contact this dealer many times to try to get a warranty reimbursement which was never given in the full amount. This was one of the worst decisions I’ve made. I hope this helps others so this “bait and switch” doesn’t happen to them. DO NOT BUY FROM GENUINE MOTOR COMPANY.

They contacted me quite quickly via email.

They contacted me quite quickly via email. I wrote back inquiring about a specific car I wanted. No response for 2 days. I finally got them on the phone letting them Know I was on vacation and would be away another week. Could I put a hold on the car. They said yes for $1000 nonrefundable. I said how about $500 and they said ok and that they would send me the paperwork which they never did and by the time I got connected again the car had sold. Very disappointed in the entire process. They have nice cars too but none I will be interested in after all of this !!

Being in a different state I was concerned on how my buying process would be. They made is perfect! My salesman Edward took a personalized video for me and showed me everything I wanted to look at so I didn't have to just look at fancy pictures. During the buying process they offered to ship it to us but I wanted the adventure of driving the car home. When I got to the dealership the car looked as if it came off the show room floor. Kolby was my finance agent and was very helpful on getting exactly what I needed. I was very happy with the way they handled everything and I would highly recommend buying a car from here. I feel like they went above and beyond and will always be checking back just in case I want to upgrade my car again in the future.

My wife and I purchased a 2011 VW Jetta last year, and

My wife and I purchased a 2011 VW Jetta last year, and had a pleasant purchase experience. We originally met the owner Sam and then transitioned to working with Eddie. They were very patient as we traveled from over an hour away and took a long time considering the purchase of the vehicle. The car was listed as "excellent" and included the following: scuffed/worn fabric, broken rear vent covers, and broken rear seatbelt clips. The stereo was just replaced but was unaccessible because the manufacturer code was not inputted in it. Despite the unlisted flaws for "excellent" we decided it was worth purchasing, and Eddie promised to give us the stereo code the next business day. Unfortunately, this is where the customer service broke down. Eddie never reached out to us himself, and for over a month I repeatedly initiated calls to get the stereo code. It turned out the only way to get it was to have an official VW dealer scan the system for over $100. After he learned there was an expense involved, it seemed like Eddie tried harder to avoid keeping his promise. It got to a point whenever I requested him to call me he would text instead. After over a month of persistence, Eddie consented to paying the full amount. As for the car itself, here are the issues we encountered after purchase: failed EGR valve, leaking transmission gasket, the glass flying off the passenger mirror while driving, and a failing AC unit (over $2,000 in repairs so far). We discovered after purchase that the driver side mirror was broken, but we didn't notice it before purchasing because the dealership had it taped together with clear scotch tape. Literally on our first drive home the car sent alerts for the mirror lights not working, and the lights haven't worked since. There were no alerts during our test drive. In summary, we are genuinely unimpressed with the experience. While they were friendly during the sale, the dealership is terrible at keeping promises post-sale, and the car has had multiple issues from the start. We unfortunately do not recommend Genuine Motor Company.

The "experience" was fine.

The "experience" was fine. Eddie was very pleasant to deal with. I was allowed to take the vehicle back to my house so my mechanic friend could look at it. Unfortunately, the vehicle wasn't as good a deal as I was hoping.

Would be a five star if it weren't for the "used car

Would be a five star if it weren't for the "used car salesman" experience. Dealer appears to have a nice inventory of high-quality vehicles. I had done quite a bit of research and communication before driving 5 hours to purchase my 3rd Highlander Hybrid. I was prepared to pay the advertised price, as it was a decent deal and the CarFax was posted. The Highlander was "mostly" as described. The floor mat on the drivers side has a large heel hole, one of the plastic covers on the dash gauges is oddly discolored, and the key fob doesn't work, it might just need a new battery. Regardless, I asked many times if there were any issues. Although these are minor, it would have been good to know in advance. It wouldn't have changed my intention. What turned me off was the attempted addition of $1,000 for: "anti-theft system" (pre-installed on every model he tells me), "document fees," and a "cooperate tax." I refused to pay these fees and he did the dance of going in the back room to "talk to the manager" and removed each of them one at a time. It's a cliché used car bit, we've all seen Fargo. I was told these were "non-negotiable" but they clearly were. The dishonesty made me question the truth of other statements. I agreed to pay the additional DMV fees, no problem. The purchase only took about 15 minutes. In the end, I'm happy with the deal and the quality of the vehicle. However, I appreciate and prefer dealers that post one price up front, all inclusive. It makes for a better buying experience. The back and forth bit for the add-ons is cheesy.
