Great Car, Poor Sales Experience I recently purchased a 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium from McCarthy Olathe Hyundai (Deal #136057) and wanted to share my honest experience. The Good: Kirk Rogers (Wholesale Manager at McCarthy Chevrolet) was outstanding — professional, transparent, and quick to respond when I needed transport information for my vehicle. Finance Manager Micah Pelofsky and Finance Assistant Krista Hall were both efficient and reliable throughout the finance process. These three individuals were the highlights of an otherwise frustrating experience. The Bad: The sales side fell significantly short of what a $60,000 purchase deserves: • The remote verification system failed, forcing me to fly from Tampa to Kansas City at my own expense ($561.89). This was a dealer requirement, not my choice. • The airport pickup that was verbally promised by Client Advisor Robert Millbyer was cancelled the morning of my visit due to staffing shortages, adding $121.89 in Uber costs. • A peeling window tint defect on the passenger window was not disclosed prior to purchase and refused to be remedied at delivery, despite the signed Damage Disclosure stating “No Known Damage.” • The complimentary Stargard GPS device was improperly installed — wired directly into the OBD harness rather than the fuse box, with a broken mounting bracket and unsecured wiring. • No temporary tag was provided with the vehicle upon delivery to Florida, requiring a separate trip to the tax collector at my own time and expense. • The salesperson promised twice to fill the tires and gas tank — neither was done. The tire pressure warning light was on at delivery. • An unauthorized credit application was submitted to PNC Bank in my father’s name without his consent. • After the vehicle was picked up for transport, I spent four days with zero carrier information despite multiple attempts to reach the sales team. I sent a formal complaint to McCarthy Auto Group leadership on May 6th and have received no response after one week. I genuinely love the Supra and appreciate the professionalism of Kirk, Micah, and Krista. However the sales team’s handling of this deal was unacceptable for a purchase of this caliber. I hope McCarthy Auto Group takes these concerns seriously and improves the experience for future customers.

I just bought a new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from McCarthy Auto Group in Olathe. Michael Dixon was so nice to deal with! All of the guys there were super friendly and helpful.

Worst dealership I’ve been to! Came in to look at a used vehicle that I knew had been in an front end accident when talking to the sales person they tried to brush over the front end damage saying it was probably from a pothole( saw photos of it at auction that was not a pot hole) and failed to mention the car had a check engine light until we went to drive it. After the test drive they tried to tell me my trade in had 20 active codes. I went and got them read after and they straight up had lied I had history codes for low tire pressure and other normal things and one active code for a daylight sensor which is a common false positive on that car, and what it controls was still working. Overall very scammy behavior, probably trying to take advantage since I’m a young woman. Would not recommend a McCarthy dealership to anyone I care about.

Bought a new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from Michaela. Could not have had a better experience. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and get me what I wanted. Did not feel like they were pushy at all. Business manager Micah was very kind and took his time explaining everything to me. Would recommend the dealership and the people!

Bad Service Department- over charges for repairs that I have never seen needed on other brands. After the high price repair, in this case, fixing both front window motors on a Hyundai with 98,000 miles???, my windows then fell down again- after spending $3,000 on the repairs. When I took the vehicle back, it was raining of coarse, they would not give me a ride home- had to spend $30 on a Lyft. They will leave you stranded, after the poor repair. Warning, Avoid this dealer! Go elsewhere.

Absolutely everyone at this dealership was amazing; beginning to end. They were helpful and attentive without ever being pushy. This is my fourth Hyundai and my third from McCarthy of Olathe. I don’t believe I will ever do car buying business elsewhere even though there are other Hyundai dealers closer to my home.

Based on experience with the Olatha location. This is not a location I would recommend. They definitely don't go the extra mile to get your business let alone repeat business. The vehicle itself is nice. However, they lack in other areas. I only received 1 key to the vehicle not two. If I wanted a second key, that would be an extra $500.00. They had 24 notice i was buying the car. Yet, at the time of pickup, the car was dirty on the outside and only a 1/4 tank of gas. Is this dealership one I would recommend to friends and family, absolutely not.

Completely refused to repair my oil consumption issues on my well maintained low mileage 2018 Hyundai Sonata. The 10 year "warranty" is a joke. Do not buy from them . Way to treat a disabled veteran. You should be ashamed of yourself
