The sales experience was good, everything after that has been horrible. From title issues to service delays, the process has turned into a nightmare

Misleading and false information about vehicles pricing, location, and wasted my time coming a long way.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP Earlier this year, we purchased a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder for my wife from Gary Jackson Motors, and what followed has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing car-buying experiences I’ve ever seen. We were told the vehicle wasn’t yet safe to drive but that all necessary repairs would be completed before pickup. We trusted them. She picked it up in March after delays, believing it had been properly serviced and was safe to drive. Just five months later, on September 1, the car broke down and had to be towed. A mechanic discovered that major components—including the front differential and rear end—had not been assembled correctly. The shop confirmed the driveshaft, axle, brakes, and suspension had all been mishandled, making the vehicle unsafe. We had to spend nearly $4,700 (nearly half the cost of the car) to correct the issues that should have been addressed before the sale. Then, on October 4, the Pathfinder broke down again on the highway. It was towed back to the mechanic, who diagnosed a failed transmission with an estimated $7,000 repair cost — more than the vehicle’s value. In less than seven months, the car broke down twice, left my wife stranded, and cost us thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs, towing, and lost time. Based on our experience, the vehicle we purchased was not properly serviced or safe to be sold. Buyers beware: I strongly recommend caution before purchasing from this dealership or trusting their claims that a vehicle has been “fully serviced” or “safe to drive.”

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP I purchased a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder from Gary Jackson Motors earlier this year, and it has been the single worst car-buying experience of my life. When I put my down payment on February 25, 2025, I was told the vehicle was not yet safe to drive but that all necessary repairs would be completed before I picked it up. I trusted their word. I finally picked it up on March 7, with the registration delayed until April 4. I stayed patient because I believed I was buying from a dealership that cared about safety. That trust was completely misplaced. Breakdown #1 – September 1st Just five months after purchase, the car broke down and had to be towed. A mechanic quickly discovered that major components—including the front differential and rear end—had not been assembled correctly. I was told point-blank: “Whoever worked on this before did not put it back together right.” An independent shop confirmed that the driveshaft, axle, brakes, and suspension had all been handled improperly, making the car unsafe. I had to spend nearly $4,700 in repairs (half the cost of the car itself) just to make it drivable. Breakdown #2 – October 4th Barely a month later, the Pathfinder broke down again on the highway. It was towed back to the mechanic, who has now diagnosed a failed transmission. The estimate: another $7,000 in repairs — more than the car is even worth. Red Flags That Cannot Be Ignored Suspension and brake work supposedly done had to be redone within five months. The rear axle was either never properly installed or completely missed. Suspension work was done without an alignment, causing rapid wear and unsafe handling. The dealership performed a safety inspection and declared the car road-ready, yet an independent mechanic proved it was anything but safe. In less than seven months, this vehicle has broken down twice, left me stranded, and drained me financially. What Gary Jackson Motors sold me was not a reliable, roadworthy car — it was a disaster waiting to happen that should never have been on the road. This experience has caused towing bills, missed work, borrowed cars, and thousands of dollars wasted. Now, with the transmission gone, the vehicle is essentially totaled.

What a nightmare experience from GaryJacksonMotors. I looked at one of their used cars on 7/21/25. I test drove the car but it needed a few things done and one being the hood wouldn't open. Dave said no problem, we will have it done in a few days. I didn't hear back for 2 weeks and I called to find out what was going on. This was 8/5/25 and Dave said it was ready. This was the second time going there. It's 1.5 hours from where I live. I got there and nothing was done, including the hood still not opening. He blamed it on the mechanic and said when the trim comes in, I'll get everything fixed at the same time. So I drove the car home and went to state inspection. It failed. Mainly because of the readiness monitor. I thought it would be good to take the car to a local Mini dealer for a multi point inspection. The couldn't get the readiness monitor to work and also could not open the hood so they had to force it. The car needs new hydraulics, brakes, shocks and it would cost a bundle to get the hood release fixed. I sent Dave the report and he said that they lie. I told him that I don't like whats going on because I can't get a passed inspection sticker and since it has been only 3 days, I wanted to get my money back. He said it doesn't work that way. I called the owner Gary Innamorati and told him I was on the way back there with the car because with the "lemon law" I would like my money back. He said I don't know what I'm talking about. There is no such thing as a lemon law and I knew that I was buying a used car. I told him yes, I knew it was used but it doesn't pass inspection. He said that is my problem. I told him I would call my attorney and at this time he said then I will not speak to you any longer. I drove the 1.5 hour drive there with the car. Dave was there and said he would get everything fixed. They left me with no option. It is now 8/23/25 and I'm still without the car. They blamed me for breaking the hood release which is an absolute lie. The hood should have been fixed from the beginning. Since Dave nor anyone at Gary Jackson motors will respond to me, they secretary called me back and said that next week they will have the part. Which will be 8/27-8/28. Don't trust these people. This has been the worst experience ever and these people are out to screw you.

I inquired about a car shown on one of the large internet car sales platforms and received a reply the car had been sold. OK. Weeks later the car is still being shown as available. I find this deceptive form of trolling borderline dishonest. Makes you wonder how often they leave autos they know are not available up to bring attention to their site,
