Kia West was once a great business to deal with.

Kia West was once a great business to deal with. Bought two cars from them, and had them serviced there exclusively. Been a loyal customer at their various locations since about 2008, and have written a couple of reviews--at least one of which was 4 stars. About 6 years ago, I started noticing problems with the business. Trying to negotiate a sale was difficult and on one occasion they didn't want to return my deposit. In 2020, I tried to buy a new car, I offered $8000 down. The salesman asked why that figure, and I said that it was the base price of a used vehicle of the model I wanted. He mocked me, saying "You'll never get anything for that," so I walked out, he missed a $30,000 sale and I went elsewhere and bought the Kia I had researched--which turned out to be a real gem. Since the service department still treated me decently, I returned to have the new/old car serviced. Getting everything up to date was costly, but the work seemed to be good, though I suspected I was being up-sold. Service started declining after that, and I would find myself waiting an hour just to get the car in the cue. The second time in a row that happened, I pointed it out, and was offered $50 off on my next servicing. i called for an appointment, but I was told there were none available for 10 days. I took their date anyway. Right away the service person showed that he wasn't aware of the vehicle's history by trying to up-sell me to a service that would cost about 3 X the service I had selected. I opted for the service I had called for initially. When presented with the bill, all was as promised, but a battery test print-out was added, showing my battery was failing. I was verbally told that the alternator had been checked, but there was nothing on the printout indicating that. I declined a new battery because the one I had was still on warranty. I drove to the battery dealer the same day to have my battery checked. It was in perfect working order. The technician looked at the print-out from Kia West and showed me how he could come up with the same false reading. The $50. off? Never happened. I could add a lot more detail, but readers can get the picture well enough. A business that used to be pleasant and personal, that got too big and became increasingly dodgy. Kia West, after 16+ years, your services are no longer required.

I have been dealing with Kia west for years.

I have been dealing with Kia west for years. Even when I have had an issue or concern service and sales have taken care of me.i recently took my 2018 kia soul in to be looked at. Got bad news. Yet Kalie from service responded quickly. Also R.V from sales was more than helpful,introducing me to my Kia Sportage courtesy car. Thank you so much. This is my 6th kia soul!

Bought a car from here.

Bought a car from here. The sales person was really nice and was helpful. Unfortunately I didn't like the vehicle after driving it a few days. Called as they advertise "30 day return" policy. But apparently that don't honor that policy. Your spending that much money and yet your expected to know if you like a car after only driving it for 5 min. Be careful People because these guys don't honor their policies!!! :(

Terrible service department, had an appointment for 11:30 promised at 1:30, around this time it says working on their fancy screen,2:30 I cancelled service because the car still seating where I parked it. Atleast other dealer offers complementary vehicle or Uber. Note: Bought 2 vehicles within 2 weeks and I'll be dealing with them like this.

Go to another dealership,

They trick you in every way possible and they rob you in daylight. I was so stupid to trust them and not check the details of my transaction. If you can, go to another Kia dealership, these guys are not honest.

Do not buy a Kia car

My car was acting up and losing speed so we phoned them as by the time we got home it got worse. It was under warranty. I had it towed in to the Kia I bought it from in Coquitlam and it was the main bearing that was broken. It means that I needed a new engine. I was asked to produce all my oil change bills which I did not have them all. I dont usually keep oil change bills. Because of this they would not repair my car and this particular part had also been as a call in for all 2018 cars. What an excuse so they would not have to put in a new engine. I had to pay to get one in myself. I was warned not to get a Kia car. I wish I had listened. I should have gone to CNN news and made it public. When you go to buy a car they treat you like royalty. When you need repairs under warranty they find every excuse not to do it. ..............................

Service Department!

Went to the service department to get my headlight fixed, after they screwed up the wiring, after going there the second time, my lights aren't working as they were before taking it in, took it some where else, and they said whoever did the wiring, messed it up really bad, i really never in my life go back to this dealership, i dont recommand this dealership to anyone else not even my friends and family, this dealership takes your money and runs away!

DECEITFUL......STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. STAY AWAY DO NOT TRUST THEM, LIES. We got totally ripped off. They take your money and don't want anything to do with you anymore. They took a $7400 of money from a 79 year old fixed income Lady and now she finds out the van needs $10,000.00 work. Same on us for listening and trusting the Mechanic and Service Manager Tyler.
