We had a great experience at Don Franklin Hyundai in Lexington. The showroom is beautiful and they had several options of the specific vehicle we were interested in. In fact, I'd say that this dealership has one of the best selections in the state. We passed at least 2 dealers to get to this one. Our sales person, Chad, was patient and great to deal with. This is our second Hyundai but our first from Don Franklin in Lexington and we are very pleased with both the car and the dealership. I highly recommend the dealership and especially Chad who, I feel went out of his way to ensure our happiness. Thank you Chad and Don Franklin Lexington Hyundai!

We had a great experience at Don Franklin Hyundai in Lexington. The showroom is beautiful and they had several options of the specific vehicle we were interested in. Buyers beware do not buy a used vehicle here they will lie to you to your face. I bought a 2020 Nissan Armada on a Friday night. The sale was very sketchy. They did not take the time to explain to me anything took the vehicle home Monday morning the car quits Smoke coming out and the car taken the engine making a noise I called the dealer , Tow truck came and took the vehicle to the dealer. They tell me they cannot give my money back which by the way was $10,000 cash so they told me to come back the next day. I told The salesman that I don’t want the vehicle that I want my money back , I told him talking on the phone Thad I will surrender $2000. Give me back $ 8000 and I’ll be at , he told me they will try to put me in another vehicle. The problem is the vehicle that I went to purchase was a V8 , and daddy have any VA engine vehicles for $26,000 , looking at the paperwork, they took $2200 off 10,000 to put me in another vehicle. They clearly have problems. I was really upset and told the sales person I will contact an attorney. He told me there’s nothing we can talk about so I walk outside and when to look for somebody they can help me and manager or somebody with power I went to the Nissan dealer. I talked to the boss. I told him what the problem was. He told me he will try to help me , This dealers are connected are the same owners , He told me he cannot give my money back then my only option would be getting another vehicle , Several vehicles, and even though that I didn’t want the vehicle, I had no choice so I took the vehicle came in talk to him about Financing , We agree at $19,000 out the door with the $10,000 down. He also me wrong when I went through the paperwork I asked you all $23,000 with no extended warranty. Do not buy a vehicle here they are not honest people I’m hiring an attorney and I am going to sue them. I also contacted attorney General office in the Better Business Bureau. They are not we not going to do this to anyone else so please do yourself a favor and buy your vehicle elsewhere.

Could use better customer service
Went to look at Palisades. We were walking around, even got into one of cars left unlocked in front row area by Richmond Road. No one, came to help us, there were salesmen talking to each other outside at front door, and walking in lots. Finally decided to leave and xx out another car facility, and as leaving, they FINALLY walked up to us, as pulling out. We did let them know car unlocked...someone will be in trouble! Not good customer service. Went elsewhere where questions answered, and taken care of.

Typical Car Sales Techniques - SHAME ON YOU!!
UPDATED REVIEW!! New review is after the original. CHAD GIVENS, HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?!? First Experience with DFHL and CHAD GIVENS, November 2020, 5 Stars: I began my new vehicle search online. I started getting emails, texts, and phone calls from dealerships everywhere from Ashland, KY to Arizona. CHAD GIVENS went above and beyond to find me exactly what I needed and was looking for, not to mention at a great price!! This was my 3rd lease, 1st through Hyundai. Second Experience with DFHL and CHAD GIVENS, May 2023, 1 Star because I can't give any less: I had some financial hardships going on and decided that the best thing to do with my lease from 2020 was to go ahead and replace it with a new lease. I repeatedly reminded CHAD GIVENS that I am on a fixed income and needed another great price on my lease. At the time, I was 24/7 caregiver for my mother who was with me as well, in her wheelchair. He said there were some hurdles he had to get through to get me approved this time, and he could only put me in a car with a payment above $400. When I enquired about cheaper payment cars, he would say things like, "Well, you are still gonna have a $400 payment". (Really?) I asked about the insurance on the vehicle he was putting me in, and he said it would probably be about the same as the Tucson, especially since it had a lot more safety features. Well, my insurance went from $70 on the Tucson to $180 on the Sonata SEL PLUS!! And I just found an article that says the Sonata is the most expensive car to insurance under the Hyundai name. So, knowing that I was on a fixed income, he made me feel I had no other options. He also said that if I had waited another month or two that they wouldn't have been able to put me in another car. So, he felt ok with putting me in a car that takes more than $600 of my income, which is 38.8852884% of my income. I was paying 22% of my income for the Tucson. Thanks to you, CHAD GIVENS, I may end up living in my Sonata! I really don't know how you sleep at night! Oh, I almost forgot to mention... Once you lease with Hyundai, you are stuck with Hyundai. You cannot turn in a Hyundai lease to any other dealership. They basically hold you hostage to their brand when you lease with Hyundai.

Avoid this place at all cost. They will promise you things to get you to sign the paperwork, once it is signed, you are no longer important and they will not take care of the original promise. Find a better and more honest dealer. AVOID!!!!

They would not come down $700 on the price.
They would not drop the price $700 to make a deal. When they were $1000 over market value on a vehicle. I would not recommend this place.

You'll Regret Buying from Don Franklin
If I were you, knowing what I know now, I would be very, very hesitant to purchase any vehicle, new or used, from Don Franklin Hyundai. Let me warn you: shop elsewhere or you'll be sorry!! I purchased a new Hyundai in November. Finance manager, some old guy, told me That Hyundai said I had to have the "gap insurance" in order for the loan to be approved. I call Hyundai, after the sale, they said that was a total lie. I find out about two weeks after I purchased the vehicle that the good ole boys had stuck me with an "extended warranty" that I was never told about nor that I approved. After two months I was able to recover the $4000 that I got hosed for. Please, please go somewhere else for your new or used vehicle. You won't regret it. The good ole boys at Don Franklin don't kiss you while they're giving it to you!!!

Friendly sales staff, near fraudulent finance dept
The sales team was actually very helpful, but I gave them 3 specific banks to run with finance and I was sick so not firing on all cylinders. When I got to finance they gave me as my lowest rate some bank I’ve never heard of Northwestern or something at a rate of 5.59% at 72 months. I’m moderately better today so I called my preferred banks at least one of which I know they do business with, Members Heritage and my rate should have been 3.25% before auto deposit and other discounts. To say that i’m displeased is the largest understatement of my life. Slight avarice is to be expected but complete fraud is outside my wheelhouse when dealing with auto dealership. My brother and another friend were interested in buying the same car, but obviously I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to Don Franklin.
