Recently I had to get a newer car and believe me I was stressed because of the situation but when I went to CarMax which this is my second car from them it was once again amazing to work with them! I had the pleasure of working with 2 amazing sales associates. Helen Mayo who was my main sales associate and Cheyeene Toliver who helped out my wife and myself when Helen was off! They both were very kind and helpful and made the process an ease! I was thinking of other options but since they were amazing I went with them instead if your looking for a car I highly recommend you ask for either of these two women they are a great help!

paying $190 for shipping car paint damaged
No refund as car was not worth buying hood and roof paint damage not in original pictures. No way to run a business to get customer to pay for a car obviously damaged and falsely depicted in review and accompanying pictures. And if damaged on transport if that is the excuse then $190 transfer fee should be refunded .

Being straight up about the 2009 Jeep Grandcherokee...
Being straight up about the 2009 Jeep Grandcherokee limited; the vehicle is in descent shape ; however I requested a I issue’s to be taken care of ; 1; the headlights have UV damage from the sun ; I asked them to buff out the lenses to make them look new again; and they said that they wouldn’t do anything their reply was “the head lights meet standard “ I thought that was xxxxy & there were 2 door dings on the rt & lft rear quarter panels ; they inspected that & found nothing wrong ; they must be blind! They said they wouldn’t have any PDR done to fix that either ; so i asked to make some allowance in the price & & I’ll fix those issues; and they dug their heals in and wouldn’t make any financial concession;@ ALL ; SO overall there kinda stubborn and cheap & not very helpful & just want the customer to pay up ! in the end there all about just PAY UP or don’t but this car we find another sucker . Would I recommend CARMAX TO A FRIEND; NAH !

HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE
This place is horrible. We bought a car from palmdale car max. They screwed up on the paperwork for the transfer to us so we could not get it registered. They came and took our car. We had to go back down there and buy the car all over again. They charged us for the extended warranty only we changee our minds about it so they said it was part of our down and we couldn't cancel now (it had only been 1 day) . So we assumed they canceled it and 2 months yes 2 months later they purchased out car back from out finance company and came and picked the car up. These guys are scandalous and straight up thieves. We are going through court now think about it before you even walk through the doors...

Terrible Experience
Found the car we wanted to buy online in Burbank, went in to test drive one similar to it at Palmdale. We loved it so we had the one we wanted transferred. The saleswoman Rosa assisted us. She entered our information, ran our credit, got us a quote from the financiers started and told us to come back when the car arrived. So we went back with the exact amount she told us previously for the down payment. She pulls up our info and somehow all the numbers were different... She blamed it on us saying that we told her inaccurate information before so thats why the down payment amount changed. She then proceeded to ask us to come up with the $1800 difference for the down payment, on the spot. We were upset and left. After thinking about it we went back the next day, as the car was well worth it. So we brought the new amount for down payment and tried again. AGAIN, this woman messed up paperwork and as we were signing and confirming info we found countless mistakes that she had to go back and fix. She had to have the manager come and help her since she didn't know what to do. She ended up running our credit (mine and my husbands individually) 6 times each in 3 days time. THAT IS NOT OK. Finally, her manager fixed all the problems and they got the paperwork correct and signed. We were there for a total of 10 hours over 3 days. To compensate for the problems, they gave us $75 of maintenance coupons. Thats it. No apology, no remorse. The manager was nice and competent but overall the experience was horrible. If the car wasn't worth it we would've left and not come back. But we did come back and the horrible experience continued until the moment we drove off the lot. unbelievable. Do not shop here, don't waste your time. Go elsewhere with competent employees.

Very disappointed
So we purchased a vehicle from car max and the extra insurance and what a joke! We paid $1,500 extra for that insurance and that insurance doesn’t even cover what’s wrong with a 2017 vehicle! What kind of company is this!? The vehicle should be covered under factory warranty but it’s not! The extra insurance we bought doesn’t cover the problem with the vehicle and now I’m out extra money! How are you gonna sell extra insurance and warranties and have none of them cover the whole car! ��������
