Ole Ben Franklin Motors Alcoa Hours
The price listed on Cars.com was not "the price" they were selling it for. They informed me it was a pricing mistake...a $4,000 MISTAKE, and would not... sell it to me at the listed price. This information came after I had spent hours arranging to travel over 550 miles to collect the vehicle. That FELT disingenuous. Mistakes do happen. In most instances, companies honor the listed price, but that did not happen here. I ended up buying the vehicle for three reasons: 1. It was what I wanted and I was tired of hunting, 2) they did show effort in other areas on their end, including giving me top dollar for my trade it, and 3) I had made travel arrangements to get to TN. So, shopping fatigue, trade-in value and travel plans made me go forward. On site, everyone was pleasant to work with, and they were professional and efficient in their work, so no complaints there. I don't know if this pricing discrepancy was a one-off, or not. If not, I would not shop there again. If it was an honest mistake, I do wish they would honor their mistakes, or the mistakes of their vendors who post their pricing. I did appreciate staff wearing face masks during this time of COVID. Assuming the advertised price was an honest mistake, I would shop there again and recommend them. If it proves otherwise, I would have them yanked from Cars.com.
My daughter was in the market for a dependable used car and we looked for about 3 months . After being urged by a family member to try Ole Ben Franklin... in Alcoa "the Alcoa dealership not Knoxville", we went in. The first visit we did not find what my daughter needed, but the sales and finance team said they would call if something came in that could work. Well, a couple weeks later our second visit , she left with what she was looking for . We had an enjoyable experience as car buying can go. The whole sales team were friendly and knowledgeable. Anthony Crowe her salesman was great with no pressure and always had a smile. We will recommend and go back to this location in the future. Thanks Ole Ben Franklin Alcoa!
Great deal. Wonderful staff. I won’t shop anywhere else because they worked very hard for me. They even take care of me after the sale.
Very happy especially how we were treated.. prices were great and so happy with our purchase, wish we had gone to This store first A Ole Ben Alcoa.
Hidden doc fees, failed to check air pressure in tires as requested (tires were dangerously low when we stopped to check), car was hit in lot while we... did paperwork and no one alerted us, tags were not transferred as requested. Called to address issues and no one has returned our call.
Was looking at buying a truck from them it was a good advertised price, but due to the fact I wanted to finance it they added a 1000.00 to the price not... to mention a bunch of other fees. I ask for break down of what I was agreeing to and finance guy got a attitude.
Short version, we bought a used truck and shortly after found out it needed a new engine. They claimed we needed to spend 5k more to put an engine in a... truck we just got. We have proof it should not have been sold. Save yourself a headache. RUN!!!
Anzio was a great help, knowledgeable, and patience, Thank you for your help. I' recommend Anzio, to anybody that wants a reliable and honest man on your... side. I will be back.
While in the car shopping process was contacted by a representative from ole Ben Franklin Alcoa. I told the representative exactly what I wanted and what... I was willing to pay. This representative told me the deal could not be made. 30 minutes later the inventory manager contacted me. I again was very specific about what I wanted and what I was willing to pay as I didn’t want to drive 2 hours for nothing. This gentleman assured me he could make the deal and “wouldn’t not sell me a car over money”. The next day I scheduled to go and finalize the deal and the gentleman called me to ensure I was still coming. I again ask if he was certain he could make the deal and was assured he could. After driving 2 hours, the gentleman I had made the deal with was not at the dealership and I was told it was an impossible deal to make. The salesman tried to get me to look at other options or change my mind on price. I was offered no compensation for my time and not even an apology for being lied to. I would not recommend wasting your breath on this business. There morals are definitely not top notch.
I tried to purchase a car through Ben Franklin at first, about a month ago. My wife and I went in, asked how much a car was, and the salesperson said... something in the range of 28-29K..forgot the exact amount. Too much for us so we left. As we got to our car in the parking lot, a salesman came out and said, "I can go to 26K". We said we'll think about it. I went back a second time and the salesman assured me there was nothing wrong with the car I was considering, so I took it home and tested it with one of their employees. I found several things wrong with the car (gas gauge doesn't work, 7th cylinder lacks compression, doesn't shift at times, fuel supply issues, etc.)..nothing I can't fix. So I went in and offered a low price..they didn't take it, fair enough. I went in later and offered them 24K. They didn't take it, fair enough. Then I was willing to accept the offer the salesman gave me on our first visit, 26K. At that point, he lied and said he never offered 26K and the new price was between 28-29...can't remember b/c I was so mad at all the lies he had told me. He denied over and over that he told my wife and I 26K and tried to downplay his statement that "There is nothing wrong with this car." I know, I should have walked out on the first lie, but just a warning for anyone else who tries to do business here. They will not honor their word and they will lie about their cars.
