About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since January 2019.
Southland Dodge was opened July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr. Jeff Teuton and Dennis Oncale. They were avid drag racers and all under 30 years of age. The first location was a one car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees Chargers and Challengers in the early years. In 1978 they bought the Chrysler and Plymouth franchises and relocated to the current location at 6161 West Park Ave. In 2007 the Jeep franchise was acquired and in 2016 the Fiat franchise was added. Southland Dodge Chrysler Jeep currently has 65 employees and sells 1500 new and used vehicles annually.

Highly recommend these guys.

Highly recommend these guys. I worked with Ashley, very professional and very helpful. I’m not from Louisiana, found the car, 2020 Porsche Macan S, on auto trader at a great price well below what others were asking and low miles. I had to fly in to sign the paperwork and pick up the car. Everything went seamlessly. I was picked at the New Orleans airport by one of their drivers, perfect, no expense to me. When we got to the dealership all the paperwork was done and waiting for me. The only thing I had to wait on was the car which was being detailed. About 30 minutes later I was presented with a 5yr old car that looked brand new. I drove the 900mi back to South Florida with no problems. I brought it to my mechanic for a very thorough post purchase inspection. He was amazed at how clean and mechanically sound the car was. Overall great experience wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them again.

I purchased my vehicle from an out of town Dodge

I purchased my vehicle from an out of town Dodge dealership. It is due for its first oil change. I made an appointment online with Southland Dodge. I received a call from the service manager stating the appointment was cancelled because I had not purchased my car from them and that the owner of Southland Dodge and the owner of the Dodge dealership I purchased my car from had an issue with each other so Southland Dodge was not willing to service my vehicle. This is very petty and childish. The owner needs to grow up and act like an adult and not take it out on customers who have nothing to do with his beef with another Dodge dealership.

I have been a loyal Ram owner for the past 15 years.

I have been a loyal Ram owner for the past 15 years. About 3 years ago my ABS module went out( yes I did not have ABS for 3 years, good thing insurance didn’t find out). When this first happened CDJR dealer in different state(I’m active duty military) placed back order or so I thought. I dealt with Mopar directly and for three years the other service department on this issue. I was about to be done with CDJR products. However, I decided to see if Southland could assist. The parts department, the service department, and mostly my service advisor got part in and installed within 4 months..😳. .My truck now works as designed and as I purchased… thank you for valuing you costumer and the products you serve!
