Buy any vehicle at Capital Kia at own peri

About two months ago, I bought relatively new and low milage luxurious SUV at Capital Kia in Columbus, OH -- a 2020 Acura MDX. It is a fairly expensive vehicle, at a final price of about $38,000. Originally, I was intending to buy a CPO 2020 MDX from an Acura dealership, but over time I could not find one with certain characteristics (color, etc). To make matters much worse, there is only one Acura dealership in town which severe limits ones options. Was tired of waiting, so end up buying a 2020 MDX at a Kia dealership, in this case Capital Kia (or Great Lake Kia). So, I contacted them and arranged to look and possibly buy the vehicle the next day. Once arriving there, testing drive the vehicle, etc, decided to buy it; then, the rollercoaster started. Was told by the salesperson that there was somebody in front of me with clerk doing the paperwork, that I would be next and that it should take about half a hour. The half an hour went by, he asked for more 10 min, the 10 min. turned into one hour; then another 10 min. which turned into another hour; another one which turned into another hour... Basically, I spent about 5 or 6 hours there just waiting. Upon going to the clerk's office room in order to start the paperwork process another salesperson was present -- he seemed to be helping to train the clerk. That other guy was the most aggressive and obinixous salesperson I have ever met, he basically worked as a machine gun continuous firing while trying to sell and convince me to buy every possible type of conceivable warranty and plans. So, the headache that I got from waiting so many hours only got worse after that experience. Anyhow, overall, the staff there seems to be nice. But none of that matters if they sell you a very expensive lemon. It turns out that it is exactly what I bought there. The reason one buys a used vehicle in a large dealership is because one assumes they checked and inspect the vehicle, otherwise one could buy a cheaper one of the same year, mileage, etc, at one of the many car lots in town. The carfax for that vehicle was clean and I assumed that the vehicle was properly inspected, etc, by the dealership. It turns out that none of that is true: I had to take the vehicle to a body shop to repair a small scratch and was told that not only did the vehicle had undergone quite a bit of body work, but also that the body repair was done improperly, in other words, it was a very shoddy and sloppy body repair. In resume, buy any vehicle at Capital Kia (or Great Lake Kia) at your own peril.

Buyer beware

Our sales rep was helpful and kind when we purchase a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. The carfax revealed one owner, rental, and no accidents. We had the car inspected and it was pretty good. After 6 months we had an engine coolant leak which required a new radiator among other things total of $1400 repair. Our mechanic noticed the car had a bent front bumper due to a collision and a new vinyl bumper was used to cover it up. We’re not sure what happened but I would not recommend this dealer. Thanks

Horrible Experience.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALER. Two weeks ago we purchased a Lexus ES350 Luxury. They told us that the car is still under one month's Lexus Dealer basic warranty. After all the payments. After driving it back to our place the engine starts to make weird sounds and the car shakes it hard no matter what speed it gets. We decide to go to the Lexus dealer to check the car just to make sure everything works well but the Lexus dealer told us that the warranty is out already and told us the car is a base model instead what Kia labeled "Luxury". We try to reach out to my salesperson but never answer, so we contact the sales management. They start to push away responsibility and say it's all from Carfax and give just a free realignment check. There must be other problems with the car. I have nothing to do now and have to pay my own to fix a car I literally just bought two weeks ago. Horrible experience with this dealer for lying about the real condition and not taking any responsibility for their customer.

Great Team of people. Great smiles and a willingne

Sam in service was so especially generous with his time and skills. I'm a senior and he was very mindful of that by doing a little more.

Rushed out, without explaining what was done

Felt very rushed, had warranty and self-pay work completed and the service advisor did not review what was done with my vehicle. She was more concerned with getting me over to the cashier window so I could pay and leave.

Service Department Issues

Worst Service Department I have ever dealt with. Called 4 times about my recall on my Kia and they never call back. You can not get a live person to talk to.

Wouldn't Recommend

Two things: First, Tom was very pleasant to work with and appeared to be very professional as a salesman. However, that is the only good thing i will be saying about this dealership. Second, I was made fun of by one of the salesmen while I was standing right there. I was walking back to tell my salesman that i was putting more money down, and i just so happened to walk in on him and another salesman discussing what my last name just so happened to be, and the other salesman (Darius) made a joke about it. Darius and another manager later tried to make me think that i did not see and hear what exactly happened, as if i made it all up in my head. While contemplating walking out, I stayed because they were going to take $500 off the price (the manager told me that he was only making $56 on this sale so there is no way he could go lower- I am an attorney, do you really believe your customers are that stupid to believe a dealership is only making $56 on the sale of a car?). I went through with the sale because i fell in love with the car- I needed a reliable car for my family. However, i was very flustered, and you could see that they wanted to get me out the door after everything occurred. The only person who was slightly sorry what occurred, was Tom. Now, four days later, Capital Kia is calling me telling me they did not collect my downpayment and that I need to arrange to do so. After you have embarrassed my wife and I in front of other customers, i do not believe it is my responsibility to ensure your employees do their job and have proper manners. On top of everything, I was there for 4.5 hours and only test drove ONE car. The process is made to tire you out to purchase a car. Overall, I am very upset with this experience. I had my eye set on one car- the car i purchased- thso that I could have a safe, reliable vehicle for my family. I was determined to walk away with that car, so I did. But to do so, i was made fun by an adult man, and then forced to make up for the dealership's faulty workers in financing. If this is not rectified once and for all, I will keep this post up and make sure that I post on every single comment section that I can to ensure others know what I did not when walking into Capital Kia.

adding extra payment for k5 GT $42k not worth it

They were very pushy. I called them the next day and asked what all the unnecessary addition to my payment were— The manager promised to return the money by sending it back to the bank. Worst dealership I dealt with. The car is only worth 33k then; I end up paying 42k. It's like magic that they added more than 9k. I hated it so much I had to take the capital Kia license cover. aint promoting a dealership that ripped customers. They won't explain anything to you and contact your needs. So now I am stuck with the car I hated.
