Takes advantage of first time buyers Have car under 6

Takes advantage of first time buyers Have car under 6 months and have put out $2000.00 in repairs. Have the Maxcare plan and nothing is covered. CarMax said it's not their problem after 90 days. Paying $4000.00 for Maxcare plan why doesn't it cover anything. One problem after another and no help, no compensation. Just take someone with you because they are crooks and they take advantage of young ( 20 ) first time buyers!!BE AWARE DONT GO HERE!!

Tires were bald

Sold me a vehicle with bad tires. I said they look very worn but superviser said he checked and they were all at leat 5/32" which is about half life. He lied! Checked when I got home and they have no more than 2/32" left and are worn down to wear indicator. Now I'm out a new set of tires and a car I thought was a decent deal.

Carmax can't count

If you live in Louisiana, calculate the registration costs on your own. They say they will figure everything for you, but you are responsible for the difference when they pay short. The check they sent was $200 less than what was needed to register my vehicle. A professional car company should know how to calculate registration costs in a state 90 miles away, or at least get within 3%, not 12%. Everyone I spoke with had the same attitude. You signed the contract now deal with it. There was no admittance of error or apology. Apparently this must be their common method of ripping off customers from neighboring states. Never again, CarMax!

I was looking for a car to get

Best dealership that I have ever been to. Full transparency, great service, everyone had a cheerful attitude and I felt welcome the moment I set foot through the door. I highly recommend them to anyone searching or reading this

Best Buying Experiance I have ever Had at 63 years

I got tired of the game at other dealerships, Carmax was transparent, professional, and friendly. I can't see how anyone could give them any less then 5 stars, and I am a tough customer, when it comes to customer service!!!

wont be back

I asked to test drive a car (on my first visit.) They took my drivers's license, which I understand, but not sure why they took nearly ten minutes--I hope they weren't doing a background check, because I did not sign an authorization for it (I am a professional person with a degree.) Anyway, AFTER we had driven it, and were pulling into the lot, another sales woman helping another customer yelled at us: "that car isn't available"--talking about the one I had just driven! So, I had waited while they researched me, then driven a car that was sold. My salesman put it back on the lot with the cars for sale, so it will probably happen again. They also don't stock some very popular models (Toyota 4-runner amongst others.) We are past Car Max customers in the metro. They were nice, but jeez!
