Horrendous. Arrogant dealership that conceals the actual condition and then gaslights you when you have the audacity to scrutinize. I contacted Autobakers about a Mercedes C450 listed on CarGurus with 56,000 miles listed at $20,489 with worn interior. The CarFax showed a mileage of 92,350 miles. They claimed this was a mistake. Red flag no. 1. Red Flag 2. I spoke with Frank, who holds the belief that he's the most intelligent individual in the room. Things got confrontational once I shared my perspective. No record of plugs, transmission service, or even consistent oil changes which he whitewashed with recommended maintenance performed. CarFax is not the new testament. It's a guide and it's often unreliable. He rudely asked what the point of the conversation was. What a stupid question. I hung up on him. It was clear that the dealer is not gong to be reasonable nor conduct business fairly. Why even inspect the car to begin with if they won't take repairs into account which determines actual value. Does this make sense? NO. At 93,000 miles, the likelihood of components failing. e.g. struts, thermostat, stabilizer bar links, engine mounts etc is greater than 70%. I can speak from experience having owned Mercedes cars exclusively for over 25 years. Bottomline: This business does not inspect or recondition cars. Be careful.
