I like the people at Chapman and even though they are

I like the people at Chapman and even though they are usually very busy, I am thrilled with the quality of service I receive.

My husband and I are senior citizens and last week were

My husband and I are senior citizens and last week were in negotiations with salesman Roland (who was helpful) to buy a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport which had approximately 7,000 miles on it. We were advised it was a lease turn in? We were advised yes, someone had turned it in after a one year lease. The vehicle was listed the internet at the price of $37,999 (the price was confirmed several times by Roland). We went into the dealership to discuss pricing, warranty, etc. It was almost 9 PM and we were tired after a day of car shopping. We offered to put a deposit down on the vehicle with the sales price as advertised and confirmed by Roland. He said he had to speak with his sale manager. Roland did not return with any paperwork, but his Sales Manager Benjamin Switalski did. He walked over and handed us paperwork and stated "the price of the car has gone up $2,000". We of course gave his push back but he advised the General Manager had raised the price of the vehicle. We had been at the dealership for at least 2 hours working with Roland. We obviously did not buy the car car and are filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Arizona Attorney General, and the Arizona State Scam Alert Division. We are seniors, but we are not stupid. We have owned and managed business and had a very successful work history before we retired (including an excellent understanding of the laws of the State of Arizona. Mr. Switalski walked away as soon as he advised us of the "price increase". He did even have the professionalism to discuss anything with us. . Yes, we did have some very, very "strong words" for Mr. Switalski. My husband followed him to get his card (which he did not get) and observed the vehicle information on Mr. Switalski's computer screen, which still sowed the price as $37,999. Conveniently, as we drove home, we checked the dealership's website and sure enough the price had been raised. We could care less about the car, and purchased another car the next day. However, we are going to let the proper authorities and social media how we were treated in the hope that no other unsuspecting person, especially a senior, falls for their tactics and gets ripped off by their unfair and what we feel is probably unlawful dealership practices.

STAY AWAY!!!!

Typical sleazy car dealer. Bought a 2017 Ford Expedition and they stuck me for an extra $5000. $4000 for the “included” warranty and $1600 for tires, Bluetooth security and windows tint it already had. Finance guy skipped over the breakdown and I shoulda caught it but was in a hurry and they kept me there awhile even thought vehicle was on hold a week. Perfect example of why car salesman have the rep they do.

James Lovering was fantastic!

James Lovering was fantastic! I had taken my new car to a dealership closer to my home in the East Valley in Arizona, had a horrible experience. I decided to call Chapman VW where we purchased our car, and was treated professionally and had may car scheduled within a couple of days. They also only had my car for about 24 hours where the other dealer was a month out from scheduling and telling me they would need my car for a week. I will always make the 45 minute drive to Chapman VW for service and working with James. He took what could have been a bad brand recognition for VW and turned it around. The entire team at VW Chapman service treated their guests very well. Thank you James, for bringing back hope with VW and Services.

Roland helped me purchase my first car, the Atlas Cross Sport, and I could not be more pleased with the experience! Speaking as a first time buyer, Roland was very informative not only about the model I purchased but other vehicles too. He remained professional and helped the sale go smoothly and quickly. VW Chapman did honor the oil change which I very much...

VW Chapman did honor the oil change which I very much appreciate and commend them for hats off, but I did have issue with the visit. while getting my oil changed I also opted in for a brake flush and a transmission flush and the car wash. At 1:00PM between 4pm and 5pm for my car to be done, no problem got a ride from VW home , messaged a eta at 4:41PM after a update and told all engine cooled off and wash should be done around 5:15-5:30PM , no problem, 5:30 PM rolls around no update message again at 5:39PM no answer. message again at 6:05 PM the service department just closed and still no answer. call the location and the service department is gone and they do not have my keys at the reception for pick up. They had to search around to find my car and paper work, luckily someone was there that could run my card so I could get my vehicle. When I asked about a ride over there since you were the ones who gave me a ride in the morning I was informed that they could not do it after 6PM, so I had to order my own ride over to the dealership. Not the best experience made for a very bad time worried if I would have transportation the rest of the evening.

Worked with Lester, we spoke over the phone and through email before I came into the dealership. He managed to get me a fantastic deal on a VW Taos SEL. He was honest and upfront about the final pricing, which I really appreciated. Made for an enjoyable and smooth first buying experience.

7 days ago after phone conversation with the Sales...

7 days ago after phone conversation with the Sales Manager about a trade in for a newer automobile, I received email, "I don’t think you would have to go into your pocket thousands at all. I know that you refinanced your current loan though and I do not have that information in my system. What is your current monthly payment?" I responded to his question, never a response. Today I called for service, received a quote from a lackey which was $200 over what was quoted by the more expensive VW dealer in N. Scottsdale, asked for Service Manager, she said he was busy, would call me within an hour. Never heard from him. I do not recommend you do business with these disingenuous, irresponsible, uncommunicative people. and this from an existing customer, not someone fishing for a deal.
